"Thank you." Butterfly Dance took the food, but she seemed a little cautious, her hand holding the bowl hesitant, and she didn't say anything to eat.
Seeing her like this, Mu Qingyun immediately understood that the girl was probably frightened by her and Xiong Ruoyou's violent behavior earlier.
"Did I scare you just now?" She tried to soften her voice. "You've probably heard what that person said. She was trying to poison our food, so we were a little rough around the edges."
Hearing her explanation, Butterfly Dance nodded in realization, "Ah, I'm fine."
Feeling somewhat embarrassed that her little scheme had been seen through, she said, "The food smells so good."
As she spoke, she took a bite of the meat in her bowl. The exquisite taste lingered in her mouth. Not to mention that she hadn't had a proper meal in a long time, even if this tasted like this outside, it would be incredibly delicious.
"Delicious." Not holding back her praise, Butterfly Dance ate a lot at this meal, and hadn't been this full in a long time.
After dinner, Mu Qingyun went out to hunt virtual creatures again. This time, Fan Xuanye and Xiong Ruoyou also came along. Although it was not very convenient for either of them, they could at least do their part.
Butterfly Dance went back to Fan Yunche first; she needed to let her teammates know she was safe.
Su was the only one left in the house.
He turned off the live stream, frowning in annoyance. He regretted letting Yi Beixuan leave first; with him there, he could at least cheat for Mu Qingyun.
Now look what's going on. With such a useless character, what can he do besides getting the doctor to deploy more virtual creatures?
"Are you all alone now?" Kazel's voice suddenly came. He looked up and saw Kazel slowly walking towards him with a string of pearls in his hand.
"Yeah, they've all gone to hunt virtual creatures." He leaned back casually, comfortably against the wall, not seeming to be in a hurry.
"Aren't you going to help them?" Kazel raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised. Could it be that Su Qiluo really didn't intend to intervene?
Su looked up at him, her face expressionless, and said, "I want to help, but how can someone like me help? I'd be lucky if I didn't become a burden to them."
Upon hearing this, Kazel gripped the pearl bracelet in her hand tightly, stared at him for a long while, and then reached out to turn off the live stream.
"Please, General Su Qiluo, help her," Kazel said, lowering his eyes with a pleading look. "She has something she can't say about. Someone as outstanding as her should go to military academy."
Su was not surprised at all by Kazel's words. He knew that the mermaid must have guessed his identity, otherwise she wouldn't have been so sarcastic and hostile towards him every day.
"Now that you know I am Su Qiluo, why were you so hostile towards me before?" Su asked the question he had always wanted to ask. He was really curious about what he had done to offend this mermaid.
“I only found out now,” Kazel curtsied slightly, adopting a respectful posture towards him. “I wasn’t sure before, so I wanted to test the waters. It wasn’t until you admitted it just now that I was completely certain.”
It turned out that I had been scammed.
Su narrowed her eyes, her face revealing no emotion. "There are strict rules in the military academy. Even if I am the first commander, I cannot act rashly."
They're really not going to help?
Kazel's eyes turned cold, and a surge of anger rose in his heart. However, he knew his own limitations; he was no match for Su Qiluo, and he even needed Su Qiluo's help.
"General, you had never met Mu Qingyun before. She worked tirelessly to catch food, boil water, and build houses. You should know better than I do how good she was to you."
After a moment of silence, he continued, "Besides, you've seen her strength; it's truly remarkable. It would be a real pity if she were eliminated for some trivial reason."
Why were they deemed substandard and eliminated?
There was a lot of information in Kazel's words. Sue caught a few key words and could roughly guess some things in her mind.
In the military academy trials, apart from the academy's leaders and the empire's king, who else would dare to tamper with the trials?
It's likely that Mu Qingyun offended one of these people. They made a statement, perhaps wanting to see Mu Qingyun make a fool of herself, or perhaps just to torment her. That's why Mu Qingyun has to collect enough virtual points within ten days.
"Come with me." Su propped herself up on her arms and stood up. "I informed someone this morning. It's just in time that you're here. The virtual points will automatically log in in a little while."
“Okay.” Kazel lowered his head and looked submissive, a stark contrast to his previous hostile demeanor.
However, although he appeared respectful on the surface, he was extremely disdainful in his heart.
"Oh, right, I have another question for you." Su rubbed his temples, thinking about the matter he had suspected for a long time, and finally asked it.
"Please ask, General. I will answer to the best of my knowledge." A hint of doubt flashed in Kazel's eyes, wondering what Su Qiluo wanted to ask.
"That massive Zerg attack before, was it to force me to take action, wasn't it?"
Upon hearing this, Kazel's expression instantly froze on his face.
But he was also someone who could control his expressions and emotions very well. The look of astonishment was fleeting, and his face immediately changed to one of surprise and confusion.
"No, please investigate thoroughly, General. I have absolutely no connection with the Zerg. Colluding with the Zerg is a serious crime. Please don't scare me."
That's clever, though.
Su withdrew his hand from the one that was covering his eyes. Just as he had expected, Kazel was no ordinary person.
But he couldn't understand what this person's purpose was. If he was colluding with the Zerg, why did he come to the military academy for trials?
Also, what exactly is the relationship between Kazel and Mu Qingyun? Why does he know so many of Mu Qingyun's secrets, and why does Mu Qingyun seem to trust him so much?
Could it be... that Mu Qingyun is also related to the Zerg?
Forget it, he frowned in annoyance. He decided to put those thoughts aside for now. Since he had already discovered that Kazel had a secret connection with the Zerg, he would just go with the flow.
Perhaps he could use Kazel as a connection to completely wipe out the Zerg, thus preventing them from threatening the planet.
Kazel, seeing that Sue had no expression, felt a pang of unease, but his face remained impassive.
...
"Brother Mu, look at your head!"
On the other side, Xiong Ruoyou, who had already hunted down several virtual creatures, pointed in surprise at the top of Mu Qingyun's head, her eyes filled with shock.
Upon hearing this, Mu Qingyun simply looked at Xiong Ruoyou's screen, only to discover that the numbers above their heads were still increasing even though they hadn't killed any virtual creatures.
What's going on?
As the number increased by one every minute or so, she frowned in shock. All three members of the team were here, and the only possible explanation for the number was Su.
But that can't be right. How could he kill virtual creatures like that? And at such a fast speed?
That's a bit outrageous.
