Chapter Sixty-Two: You hate Mu Xueyao, don't you?

“Girl, why don’t you use your brain first and think about what you said before?” Mu Qingyun frowned. “Besides, whether I reply to you or not is my choice, and I don’t need to explain it to you.”

"Haha, you're right," Butterfly Dance laughed awkwardly, then immediately tugged at Yuehu's sleeve, "Yuehu, let's go, if you're not leaving I'll be going first."

She was so embarrassed that she was digging her toes into the ground. The wings on her back seemed to share her owner's feelings and swayed slightly.

She hadn't originally planned to greet Mu Qingyun, but Yuehu called out to her directly, so she had to stop and say a few words to them.

As a result, they simply didn't want to talk to them.

"Hmph." Upon hearing this, Yuehu snorted coldly, clearly displeased, and turned to walk in another direction.

Although she still wanted to argue with Mu Qingyun, Diewu had already said that, so if she didn't leave soon, she might have to act alone.

Mu Qingyun watched them come and go inexplicably, feeling utterly speechless.

"Let's go back and rest." She glanced at the sky, which had become completely dark, and turned to walk into the cave.

"Okay, Brother Mu!" Xiong Ruoyou replied happily, glancing up at Mu Qingyun's profile, and couldn't help but chuckle.

Seeing Mu Ge's attitude towards Yuehu before, she thought Mu Ge had fallen for Yuehu, after all, that fox was fluffy and good-looking.

Unexpectedly, she was overthinking it.

That's right. Someone like Brother Mu wouldn't be so superficial; he wouldn't like someone based on superficial reasons.

Back in the cave, Mu Qingyun closed her eyes and rested for a while before slowly opening them in the early hours of the morning.

She reached out and turned off the live stream, then stood up and walked outside.

A green light flashed in his left hand as he searched for every possible trace of plant life.

Sensing something, she placed her hand on the ground, activating her plant-based abilities. Small branches sprouted from the barren soil in front of her, and as her abilities continued to be activated, another orange tree grew.

She took out the storage bag given to her by Xiong Ruoyou, and stored the oranges and tree trunks separately. She also specially broke open an orange, squeezed out the juice to store it, and ate all the pulp.

The sweet aroma of oranges filled her mouth. She carefully collected the orange peels and headed towards the house.

Orange peels can remove odors. Following this process, the house will be finished tomorrow. I'll use these orange peels to freshen the air tonight.

After putting the leather away, she was about to get up and leave when she suddenly heard a soft footstep.

Someone's here?

She frowned, looked around, jumped out of the window, and hid below it, using the gap on the side to observe the situation inside the house.

The footsteps grew louder as they approached, finally stopping at the doorway.

"They don't even have anyone guarding the place at night. What if someone takes advantage of the situation?"

Tsk, Mu Qingyun frowned. That voice, is it Kazel?

She turned to look towards the doorway, and her purplish pupils glowed in the night, making them impossible to miss.

Upon recognizing the person, Mu Qingyun immediately stopped hiding, reached out to brace herself against the window, and jumped into the house.

Her sudden turn startled Kazel, who was tinkering with something.

"Mu Qingyun?" Kazel looked at the person staring coldly at him, and twitched his lips speechlessly. "You're not the one who's staying here to watch the house in the middle of the night, are you?"

"What are you doing here?" Mu Qingyun didn't answer his question, but instead asked a question, her gaze also falling on Kazel's hands as he moved things.

It was a pile of steel bars, just arranged, there looked to be at least a dozen of them, each about the thickness of an arm.

"Did you turn off your live stream?" Kazel instinctively tried to reach out and block the object on the ground, but the steel bar was too big, and he couldn't block it at all.

"It's off." She replied casually, then asked the same question again, "What are you doing here?"

Kazel breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that the live stream had been turned off.

He reached out and patted the steel bars next to him, raising his chin smugly. "These were specially placed here to reinforce the roof so you wouldn't fall to your death while you were sleeping in this house."

"Where did he come from?" Mu Qingyun raised an eyebrow, quite surprised by his words. She hadn't expected him to help her.

“I picked it up from the sea,” Kazel answered truthfully. “Every day there’s random trash in the sea, and these steel bars were accidentally thrown in.”

He paused for a moment, then sneered, "Throwing all your trash into the sea, you're really something. If it weren't for water-powered individuals, you would have all died of thirst long ago."

Upon hearing this, Mu Qingyun raised an eyebrow in surprise. Kazel's resentment was palpable. "Don't all mermaids live on land? You..."

"You want to ask me why I have such a lot of resentment?" Kazel tilted his head, staring coldly at her. Before she could reply, he said to himself, "The mermaids weren't on the shore before. We were forced to come ashore."

"So you hate those who pollute the sea, and you saved Xiong Ruoyou and the others just because those people were going to throw them into the sea?" She looked up at Kazel, and something seemed to be rising to the surface.

“That’s right,” Kazel nodded, a mocking smile flashing in his eyes. “Otherwise, why would I bother with such trivial matters? I’m not a saint.”

"What about me?" Mu Qingyun stared intently into his eyes, trying to discern her guesses through his gaze.

"What?" Cazeel was taken aback by her question and frowned in confusion, not understanding what she meant.

Seeing Kazel's puzzled expression, Mu Qingyun bluntly asked him, "Then why did you help me? What use am I to you?"

Why ask such a direct question?

Kazel smiled slightly. "You hate Mu Xueyao, don't you?"

"Yes." She nodded in agreement.

"Her water-based abilities are not good for attack, but her purification ability is exceptional. Apart from Su Qiluo, her purification ability should be the best on the planet."

Kazel spoke slowly, and before she could speak, he continued, "If we take away her superpowers and combine them with the secret arts of the merfolk, we can protect a pure water source for us."

"Take it away?" Mu Qingyun raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Superpowers are something people possess from birth. Unless a person dies, their superpowers will disappear. It's also possible to take away something a person was born with.

“It mainly depends on you.” Kazel turned to look at her, a bloodthirsty killing intent flashing in his eyes. “I’ve seen your fire ability; it can roast through insectoids.”

"It's simple to take away Mu Xueyao's superpower. I'll first give her a protective medicine, then you can use your fire power to scorch her and force the water power out of her body."
