Chapter Nineteen: Picked Up Randomly

"Not impressive." These are just common sense.

Mu Qingyun kept the second half of her sentence to herself and didn't say it aloud. She knew that if she said this "arrogant" sentence, it would definitely cause quite a stir.

Upon hearing this, Su smiled at her and lowered her head to begin tasting the bird soup.

It tastes really fresh.

But as he ate, he realized something was wrong.

"Mu Qingyun, why are there vegetable leaves in the soup?"

Su suddenly looked up at her, frowned, and a flash of coldness crossed his eyes.

"I saw it on the way and picked it up on the way." Mu Qingyun was startled and looked down to meet Su's gaze.

Xiong Ruoyou and Fan Xuanye were so focused on eating that they didn't even notice the vegetable leaves in the soup; they treated them as condiments.

Unexpectedly, Su was so alert. She had only put in a little bit, and she was afraid that Su would notice, so she paid special attention and didn't scoop out much. There were at most four small pieces of shredded vegetable leaves in his bowl of soup.

This was actually discovered.

"You just picked it up?" Su's eyes were full of inquiry. "Where did you pick it up?"

"I can't remember the general location," Mu Qingyun glanced at him indifferently, "I went to relieve myself at night, a bird flew overhead, and when I came out I saw a few leaves."

"Well, there are no naturally growing plants on our planet. Vegetables and such are all cultivated in seed banks, and they're expensive but not available. My dad's office only has synthetic ornamental plants," Xiong Ruoyou said, her mouth full of food, her words muffled.

[Plants? Edible vegetables?]

[Oh my god, I've never eaten vegetables in my life. They're so expensive. I'd rather spend money on meat and protein powder.]

[Impossible, he's definitely lying. Our current living environment is completely barren; how could there possibly be any plants? Any trace of plant growth would be fenced off and studied by the research team.]

[Wait, I suddenly thought of a possibility. Could it be that a bird picked up some leaves from an ornamental plant from somewhere, and Mu Qingyun just happened to come across them?]

That's a very good explanation.

Mu Qingyun nodded inwardly with considerable appreciation. Well said, she would borrow that idea.

"There are ornamental plants here? I didn't know that. There were no such things on my original planet. I thought they were edible."

See? I told you I shouldn't have overestimated him. Good grief, ornamental plants are synthetic! And this guy didn't even know that.

[Fine, forgive my brother Mu for growing up on a garbage planet; he's never seen anything like the world.]

"Oh, it's alright, such a small amount won't kill you. But Brother Mu, you still need to be careful in the future, don't eat everything, some things really can kill you."

[Ha, ugly men are always up to no good. They don't eat it themselves, but they let others eat it, reaping all the benefits while claiming ignorance of the consequences.]

[Exactly. Mu Qingyun's fans must all be morally bankrupt trash in real life. How can someone who idolizes such a person be expected to be outstanding in real life?]

[What?! It's like my brother Mu didn't eat anything himself. He took the good stuff and gave it to his family of three first. He cooked for them without complaint. What gives you the right to say that?]

[Seriously, you guys don't even know Mu-ge, and you're already cursing him just because of this? Who exactly is Mu-ge blocking? You're all just haters.]

Is it an ornamental plant?

Su looked down at the vegetable leaves in the bowl, frowned, thought for a moment, and then believed Mu Qingyun's explanation.

He's hardly ever eaten vegetables; the existing plant seeds are all used for research, and even if they were sold, they'd be incredibly expensive.

Moreover, due to the recent prediction, the planet's seed vault has been banned from sale.

Besides, Mu Qingyun had no reason to lie to him.

The vegetable leaf incident passed without serious consequences. Mu Qingyun sighed inwardly and resolved never to put such obviously conspicuous things in the future.

Su is just overly cautious.

After finishing her meal, Mu Qingyun continued to cultivate diligently.

Meanwhile, in a corner where no one was watching, Su quietly took out her communicator and typed something into it.

Seeing the green checkmark that had been transmitted on the communicator, he breathed a sigh of relief, hid the communicator in his storage bag, and began to close his eyes and rest.

Mu Qingyun waited until evening before heading outside, using her plant-based abilities, which had recovered during the day, to search for traces of plants.

Just when you think life is peaceful and uneventful, unexpected events always happen suddenly.

For example, right now.

Mu Qingyun looked at Bai Feifei, who was squatting on the ground crying, and a trace of helplessness flashed in her eyes. At her feet was the little plant she had finally found.

What should I do? Give up or wait for her to leave?

The green light in her hand was dazzling; what Bai Feifei was holding must be something good.

After thinking for a while, she found a mound of earth, hid behind it, and concealed herself.

Anyway, she has plenty of time and doesn't care about wasting a minute or two.

After waiting for fifteen minutes, Bai Feifei was still crying.

Half an hour passed, and Bai Feifei was still crying.

After waiting for who knows how long, and with dawn approaching, the girl was still crying.

Doesn't she get tired?

With a somewhat speechless expression, Mu Qingyun casually picked up a pebble and slowly walked towards Bai Feifei.

She turned off her live stream, but she didn't know if Bai Feifei's was off. You can't just knock someone unconscious with stones; it's easy to cause trouble.

"Girl, why are you crying here instead of staying with Mu Xueyao?"

A cold voice suddenly came from behind her, which really startled Bai Feifei. Her body trembled uncontrollably, and her crying stopped abruptly. She turned her head and stared at Mu Qingyun with a pair of watery eyes.

Tsk, looking at her now, she really is a beauty. I think actresses have the potential to be femme fatales.

Unfortunately, she has a sharp tongue; a girl like that would get slapped in the face in no time if she were around.

"Mind your own business! You ugly man, mind your own business!"

Upon seeing that it was her, Bai Feifei immediately glared at her unhappily, "Get lost and stop getting in my way."

Hearing Bai Feifei's rude words, Mu Qingyun didn't react. She just glanced at the live streaming device in the other person's hand and said coldly, "Is your live streaming device turned off?"

"No, no, what's it to you whether it's related or not?" Bai Feifei was completely enraged. She was already in a bad mood, and what was this ugly man doing?

"Turn it off." Mu Qingyun clenched the pebble between his fingers, looking at her with a smile, his tone carrying a hint of seduction.

Although her ordinary face wasn't particularly striking, Mu Qingyun's smile, with its perfectly timed wicked charm, was incredibly captivating. Her eyes, sparkling with light, were mesmerizing.

For some reason, Bai Feifei was stunned when she saw Mu Qingyun like this, and subconsciously shook her head, "I didn't turn it on. The live broadcast administrators also rest at night, so they won't pay too much attention to how long the live broadcast was turned off."
