Chapter Three: Get Some Food

With her eyes closed, Mu Qingyun felt the energy fluctuations in her left hand.

Is this... a plant-based superpower?

She suddenly opened her eyes and withdrew her supernatural power.

Unexpectedly, she was so lucky to encounter the unique plant-based superpowers on this planet.

Due to the rapid development of technology, the planet's plants have suffered the most severe pollution. Now the land is barren, and all you can see are concrete floors. Even on this desolate island, not a single blade of grass grows.

The plant-related ability allows the user to sense plant seeds buried deep in the soil, stimulating them to germinate and bring them back to life.

However, she lowered her gaze. It wasn't time to reveal all her abilities yet. She was best at playing dumb to outmaneuver others; she had used this method to achieve final victory in the imperial court before.

The rain stopped shortly afterward.

The torrential rain came and went quickly. Mu Qingyun was starving. If she didn't get something to eat soon, she might become the first reborn person to starve to death.

She stood up, glanced outside, and then walked outside.

"Hey, where are you going?" Xiong Ruoyou's voice came from behind, but she ignored it and quickened her pace.

The island was barren, and Mu Qingyun walked all the way to the shore, looking down at the relatively clear water.

The fairly clear water reflected her current appearance.

Looking down closely, she had a slender figure, neat short hair, and an ordinary but not ugly appearance. Overall, she looked as ordinary as could be.

She sighed helplessly. Her appearance when she was disguised as a man was ranked first on the list of young masters in the capital. She was the best husband in the capital and had captivated countless girls. Some girls even jumped into the river to attract her attention in order to catch her eye.

Unexpectedly, her appearance has deteriorated so much since she transmigrated here.

But looking at her body, which was still able to move, she thought to herself, "Oh well, at least I'm still alive."

Stopping thinking about her appearance, she looked down at the sea.

This sea is a very remote water source, and it doesn't appear to be heavily polluted, so there must be many edible fish in it.

Plus, it had just rained, so setting up a few small traps on the shore should yield a good harvest of food.

Thinking of this, she rolled up her sleeves, carefully walked to the shore, and made a simple snare with pebbles.

As she arranged the pebbles into a circle, the viewers in the live stream immediately began to mock her again.

What is he doing? Is he playing in the water?

[Could it be that they're planning to catch some seafood to eat? After all, they came from a trash planet, so they probably didn't bring much protein powder.]

"Yes, I think so too. Otherwise, why would he run to the seaside instead of staying in the cave? He can't be crazy, can he?"

Haha, you know what, I actually think so too.

He made a small circle with pebbles; what could he possibly catch in such a large hole? Unless the fish were also stupid, they wouldn't be able to get caught by this fool.

[Don't mention it, upstairs. I once heard our professor say that in the earliest days, before laser guns, people used traps made of stones to catch fish.]

"Don't be ridiculous. If this thing could catch any fish, I'd do a handstand and wash my hair!"

[I'll join too. If I can catch even one fish, I'll eat shit live on stream.]

[I took a screenshot of the comment above.]

The live stream chat erupted with betting activity, while Mu Qingyun, having already set several traps, began leisurely strolling around the island to familiarize herself with the terrain.

However, after walking only a few steps, a strange movement suddenly came from the ground in front of them.

A worm-like creature, about the size of a tiger, crawled out of the soft, damp soil. Its wriggling body was large and black, and the black, viscous liquid it spewed from its mouth was extremely foul-smelling, making one want to vomit.

Mu Qingyun quickly flipped through her memories and recognized that the creatures in front of her were insectoids.

The Zerg are a species that threatens planets; in her land, they are similar to locusts, only far more terrifying.

The moment the Zerg saw her, its black eyes fixed on her, and it charged at her almost instantly, its enormous mouth agape, as if to swallow her whole.

Is this an attack on her? Ha, what a fool.

With her eyes narrowed slightly, she casually picked up a piece of wire from the ground, wrapped it into a hook in her hand, and with a light touch of her toes, quickly rushed towards the insectoid creature.

[Good heavens, am I blind or has he gone mad? Is he going to fight the Zerg bare-handed?]

[This ugly guy is really brainless. The Zerg can only be killed using supernatural abilities and mental power. He's just asking for death.]

[Oh no, this team is out so quickly! I feel so bad for Black Bear.]

[Didn't you want him dead before? Why are you saying that now?]

Need I say more? Just wait and see. If he doesn't die, I'll call you dad.

No matter how much ridicule and sarcasm came from the live stream, Mu Qingyun's eyes remained clear. She quickly flipped over, dodging the black, viscous liquid sprayed by the Zerg, and the wire in her hand flew out and accurately pierced the Zerg's eye.

"hiss--"

A sharp, piercing scream rang out. Mu Qingyun frowned and pulled out a dagger from her side. This was the only thing the original owner had, and now it came in handy.

A faint smile curved her lips as she stepped onto the Zerg's back, aimed her dagger at the Zerg's vital point, and plunged it down.

Before they could even utter a sound, the Zergling was instantly silenced.

The people on this planet have become accustomed to using superpowers and mental abilities, and with the prevalence of various high-tech weapons, they have long since lost their original close-combat capabilities.

The Zerg have a vital point, just like the human heart. Once that vital point is pierced, it will kill you instantly, no matter what you use.

[Oh my god, someone slap me! Am I dreaming?]

I'm so shocked I can't say a word.

[Is this person really that powerful? He actually killed a Zergling with just an unassuming dagger?]

Where are the people who placed the bets? Come out now!

Wait, look what he's doing!

The live stream chat erupted in excitement. Viewers stopped commenting and focused intently on the stream, but they were shocked by Mu Qingyun's actions.

Mu Qingyun was holding the dagger he had pulled from the Zerg's vital point, aiming it at the Zerg's black body, and slicing off pieces of flesh from the body as if cutting meat.

After doing all this, she returned to the shore, walked to the trap she had set, and looked inside. Sure enough, she had caught several small fish.

After catching all the fish, she looked at the murky water, hesitated for a long time, and finally just gave the fish a simple rinse.

With flames burning in her right hand, she began to grill the fish and the meat she had just cut from the Zerg in front of her.

Some parts of the Zerg are non-toxic and extremely nutritious. She remembered seeing a Chinese medicine made from insects at a traditional Chinese medicine hospital.

In the past, when Westerners came to pay homage, they said that even the most poisonous insects have non-toxic surfaces, and they also said things like that insects have high nutritional value.

The fish and insect meat were cooked, she held them in her hand, blew on them, and took a bite.
