Chapter 104 Extreme Weather Arrives

After finishing the work in the fields, the sun was already high in the sky, and the scorching sunlight was so intense that it was hard to open one's eyes.

Lu Fan and An Lan hid in the shelter, drinking mountain spring water chilled with ice, feeling extremely comfortable.

"The weather is so hot today, I can't even imagine how hot it will be tomorrow," An Lan said, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

Lu Fan nodded: "Yes, so we need to prepare more things now. It'll be cooler at night, so we can go cut some hay and prepare food for the animals."

Finally, evening arrived, and a cool evening breeze instantly revitalized Lu Fan and An Lan.

They took their knives and came to a lush meadow.

The moonlight shone on the grass, like a layer of silver frost covering the earth.

"Wow, this meadow is so beautiful under the moonlight! It doesn't feel like the wilderness, it feels like a fairy tale world," Anlan said excitedly.

Lu Fan said with a smile, "That's the charm of nature. But let's get to work first, or the animals will go hungry tomorrow."

The two began cutting the grass, with Lu Fan directly using a shovel to cut the grass roots.

With his powerful arm strength, the grass fell down in neat rows.

An Lan was cutting grass with a large knife, but her movements were a bit clumsy, and she was cutting grass much slower.

"Ugh, why does this knife keep refusing to obey me?" An Lan muttered, beads of sweat forming on her forehead.

Seeing this, Lu Fan walked over and took the broadsword: "Forget it, you can help me tie up the grass instead. You can come back next time I make a sickle."

Lu Fan shoveled grass, and An Lan bundled it. Before long, a tall haystack was piled up behind them.

"The scenery here is so beautiful! I even saw fireflies just now," An Lan exclaimed, looking at the tranquil night.

You can also see the big black cat running around in the wild chasing fireflies.

Lu Fan smiled and said, "This is the charm of nature, something you can't see in big cities."

After several hours of hard work, the two finally cut enough hay.

They bundled the grass, carried it back to the shelter, and neatly piled it in a corner.

Looking at the hay, Anlan said with satisfaction, "Now the animals can comfortably get through the hot weather."

After a busy day, the two collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.

Although I was physically exhausted, I felt incredibly fulfilled.

"Today was really tough, but with all our preparations, the high temperatures won't be a problem for us," An Lan said, yawning.

They slept in places separated by only one wall, and the two often chatted at night.

Lu Fan responded, "Yes, as long as we work together, no difficulty can stop us."

After midnight, the originally cool air seemed to have been quickly sucked away by an invisible hand, and the temperature began to rise sharply.

In the darkness, Lu Fan and An Lan were fast asleep, completely unaware of the impending "high-temperature crisis".

At first, Lu Fan simply turned over in his sleep, muttering, "Why am I getting a little hot..."

But soon, the heat, like a surging tide, completely overwhelmed him.

He groggily opened his eyes, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and realized that the entire shelter was like a giant steamer.

"Anlan, Anlan, are you awake?" Lu Fan called out as he sat up and reached for the kettle next to him.

However, the water in the kettle had become lukewarm, which did nothing to quench his thirst.

An Lan was also woken up by the heat. She replied weakly, "It's so hot! What kind of weather is this?!"

Lu Fan looked around in the dim moonlight and found that Big Black, Big Horn, and other animals were also too hot to sleep and were pacing restlessly in the corner.

Big Black stuck out its tongue and panted heavily, while Big Horn kept swishing its tail, trying to drive away the omnipresent heat.

"It seems this heatwave is even worse than we imagined," Lu Fan said, frowning.

He quickly got up and fetched a large basin of water for Big Black and the others.

"Come on, guys, have some water to cool off." Lu Fan said as he placed the water basin in front of Dahei and Dajiao.

Big Black, as if seeing a lifeline, plunged into the water and began to drink it down with gurgling sounds.

The big horn wasn't to be outdone; it stuck out its tongue and licked the water, and in no time, it had drunk half of the large basin of water.

Having solved the animals' drinking water problem, Lu Fan immediately filled a basin with cold water and carefully carried it to An Lan's room.

"Anlan, quickly wash your face with cool water, it will make you feel better." Lu Fan placed the basin of water next to Anlan's bed, and then picked up a hat from the side and fanned Anlan.

An Lan glanced gratefully at Lu Fan, then wiped her face with cool water, instantly feeling refreshed.

"Thank you, Lu Fan. This weather is so hot, I feel like I'm being roasted alive."

Lu Fan laughed and said, "Why are you being so polite with me? We're in the same boat now."

"This temperature is harder to bear than I expected," An Lan remarked.

Lu Fan suddenly had a bright idea: "Wait here, I'll get you a basin of water."

As he spoke, Lu Fan ran out and fetched a basin of spring water. He reached out and touched it; it was icy cold.

He placed the water in the corner of the room, and after a short while, the temperature in the room seemed to drop a bit.

In the live stream, viewers were also drawn to their plight and flooded the chat with messages offering advice and suggestions.

"Using water to cool it down is a good method."

"Why not try draping a damp towel over your body? The evaporation and heat absorption will help cool you down."

"I feel so hot for them, the extreme heat in the wilderness is really tough on people."

Night had fallen, but the scorching heat in the wilderness showed no signs of abating. This intense heat was like a borderless disaster, sweeping across every corner, with wilderness survivalists from different countries struggling under its intense heat.

Yamamoto, the player from Japan, was sweating like a dog, panting with his tongue hanging out to cool down.

His shelter was made of thin branches and leaves, and in this sweltering heat, it was practically made of paper and offered absolutely no insulation.

Yamamoto was shirtless, sweat dripping from his lean body. He held a large leaf in his hand and weakly fanned himself with it.

The fanned air was also hot, doing nothing to alleviate the unbearable heat.

"When will this awful weather end!" Yamamoto muttered in Japanese, his voice full of exhaustion and frustration.

On the other side of the world, American athlete Andrei is not faring much better.

His shelter looked quite sturdy, built with large stones and thick tree trunks, but it turned into a giant oven in the high temperature.

Andrei was holding a simple animal skin fan and fanning it frantically, trying to create a cool breeze.

But the air blown out by the fan felt like it was coming from a furnace, making him even hotter.

"Damn, it's hotter than a Texas summer!" Andrei complained loudly, his face flushed red and large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
