Chapter 57

Chapter 57

"Brother, what should we do? Should we swim over?" The young monk licked his dry lips, his usually cheerful face wrinkling. It had been fine the past two days, but these past few days, the coconuts had become increasingly scarce, forcing them to cut back on their water intake. But if this continued, would they have to drink seawater after running out of water?

"Yeah, Huaiqin, we need to think of something." Su Huaichen was also feeling the heat. Huaiqin had previously said this island was tropical. It's been four days since we've been here, and not a drop of rain has fallen. It's completely different from the first day of their domestic competition, when it rained. "By the way, isn't there something called seawater distillation? Can we try that?"

"Brother Huaichen, we don't have any containers." Lin Zhinan had also learned this. Now they didn't even have basic water containers, so they couldn't boil water. There was nothing they could do.

"I'm so thirsty. Go get some banana tree cores with your sister," Chu Huaiqin handed the small stone axe to the young monk. "Be careful."

"Good," the little monk muttered as he put them away. "These banana leaves are growing so lushly, how come there aren't even any bananas growing on them?"

The little monk was very worried because there was no food on land. They had to go to the sea to look for it these days. This was not a big deal, but after their bodies dried up, they were covered with salt powder, which was itchy and painful. Not only did they turn black, but in the worst case, Xia En even started to peel off.

"Banana trees are usually only in season in September," Chu Huaiqin stood up and patted the sand from under his butt. "Xia En, you stay here and look after things. I'll go for a walk with you, senior."

"You can let him stay here," Xia En was reluctant to stay.

"No." Chu Huaiqin shook his head and raised his chin slightly. Xia Entang followed his gaze and saw a few people from other teams passing by from time to time, their eyes drifting towards them. Their target was obviously the coconuts in their shed.

Su Huaichen's fighting ability is limited, and he is afraid of problems if he stays here. In addition, Chu Huaiqin also considers Xia En's health. Without clean water to wash, the salt content in Xia En's body is increasing day by day, and his skin is peeling after being exposed to the sun. Chu Huaiqin wants him to rest for a while and come back later to see if he can find some herbs to rub on him.

When Xia En thought that the few remaining coconuts in the team would be stolen, his face immediately darkened. He clasped his hands together and cracked them apart, making a crackling sound.

Chinese audience: "Pfft, is Xia Entang trying to beat someone up?"

Japanese audience: "They also said they were blocking Team Gun Gun from international competitions. Now everyone only has two or three coconuts left, and Team Gun Gun has the most. Maybe Team Gun Gun is blocking everyone from international competitions."

"Don't just focus on Island A. The daggers for the teams on Island B and Island C have been found, and food has begun to be prepared. Once we find a boat, we can set off."

"I think there shouldn't be any daggers on this island. These teams have made a mistake in judgment."

"Haha, the Gun Gun Team will definitely be defeated here. They haven't even found the dagger yet."

"It's not just our GunGun family that hasn't found it, there are five other families too!"

"The other five teams are eliminated together!"

"roll."

When the show just started, everyone was watching. As time came to the fourth day, the teams on other islands had already deployed in an orderly manner. On the contrary, Island A had no dagger, let alone water, and the chance of being eliminated was significantly increased.

Chu Huaiqin also felt that he had made a misjudgment. He walked on the beach with Su Huaichen, his brows furrowed, and no one knew what he was thinking.

Su Huaichen glanced at Chu Huaiqin and said with a smile: "Huaiqin, if you want to go out on a date with me, you have to consider the time. It's afternoon now and it's too hot."

Chu Huaiqin smiled, took a breath, and pointed to a rocky area about three meters high not far away and said, "We haven't looked there yet."

Su Huaichen said, "But Xia En said that the current there is a bit fast and he doesn't recommend us to go in the water."

It's not that they hadn't considered that area before, but because of Xia Entang's words, they didn't go into the water.

"Don't worry, I'm a pretty good swimmer." Chu Huaiqin assured Su Huaichen and walked over slowly.

Su Huaichen looked at Chu Huaiqin in confusion. He always felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't tell what was wrong.

"I object." Su Huaichen said seriously.

"Xia En's body cannot wait any longer now. He must be washed with clean water." Although Chu Huaiqin said nothing, he saw what Xia En did. The 19-year-old boy carried their three meals a day, but their search for the dagger for several days made no progress.

"Your skin is really good. After a few days of sun exposure, we all became dark, even Lin Zhinan became a shade darker, but you became whiter. Tell me the reason." Su Huaichen wanted to change the subject and finally trick the person back.

But Chu Huaiqin patted him on the shoulder and continued walking.

Su Huaichen was wondering whether to follow or go back to find Xia En. After hesitating for a while, he followed.

Xia En was in the camp, with his legs crossed and his chin propped up, looking at the sun. Because everyone had been sunburned these past two days, they had deliberately avoided the strongest sunlight. Even if Xia En was bored, he couldn't go into the sea.

The sparkling sea stretched as far as the eye could see. Xia En sat and watched for a long time but still didn't see Chu Huaiqin coming back. Puzzled, he walked out and looked around. From a distance, he suddenly saw Chu Huaiqin's small figure crawling on the rocks, and his heart almost stopped.

Didn’t you say that the water is flowing fast and we can’t go there?

Xia En was suddenly filled with anger. He instinctively ran forward a few steps, then stopped abruptly. Looking at the coconuts in the shed, Xia En finally turned around and ran away.

"Senior, please wait upstairs. I'll go down." Chu Huaiqin took off his shirt, and his thin, fair and slender figure appeared in front of everyone, causing exclamations in the live broadcast room.

"No, I just feel like something's wrong. Thinking about the domestic competition, brother, you better stay out of the water!"

This sentence was sent in Chinese, so it was seen by the audience in China. When everyone thought about it, they remembered how Chu Huaiqin sat in the middle of the bamboo raft when crossing the lake, and they also felt that it was a bit strange.

"No, you're overthinking it. My dear brother was probably sitting in the middle because it was too hot and he was afraid he would faint. He's been in the stream and bathed in the lake before. He doesn't look like he's afraid of water."

"Didn't you drown last time? That means you're not a good swimmer!"

"It was an accident. The wind suddenly flipped the bamboo raft over and I didn't react in time, so I drowned. I trust my brother. He wouldn't do anything dangerous."

"Look at the split screen. Xia Entropy ran over and ignored Coconut."

The fans of the Gun Gun team in the live broadcast room had just calmed down, but when they saw Xia En's anxious look, they also became anxious. Damn, brother, is he really afraid of water or can't swim?

Foreign audience: "The Chinese seem to be talking about things we don't know. Bad review."

Chu Huaiqin, unaware of the concerns in the livestream, warmed up by the rocks, stripping off his pants. As soon as his feet dipped into the water, a wave slammed over them. No wonder Xia Entropy said the current was so strong here, and the waves were so big.

He walked slowly down the water, which reached his waist and chest. Chu Huaiqin took a deep breath and dived in.

Chu Huaiqin felt a momentary dizziness upon entering the water, choking on his saliva. However, he quickly recovered, slowly emerging from the water and diving back into the sea. Chu Huaiqin had no intention of swimming far away. He knew that his mental disorder could flare up at any moment, so he swam around, trying to control his limbs, which were a bit stiff. This was still a shallow area near the sea, so if anything happened, he could stand up and leave the water immediately.

Chu Huaiqin swam for a few minutes and began to adapt slowly. He saw a few oysters attached to the rocks, reached out to pluck a few, swam up and threw them to Su Huaichen. The anxious people above saw Chu Huaiqin float up safely and breathed a sigh of relief.

Su Huaichen figured he was a decent swimmer, so he should be fine. So, after a few quick stretches, he stepped into the water. A wave of cool air washed over him, and he felt like he'd made the right decision. He still hesitated, though. He should have brought the long vine from two days ago.

His arms, exposed to the sun, were burning with pain. Su Huaichen hesitated for a moment and dived into the water.

The waves on the surface of the water were a bit fast, but it was very calm underwater. The visibility in the clear water was very high. He saw Chu Huaiqin holding a coral and fighting with a crab from a distance, so he swam over.

Because Chu Huaiqin and Su Huaichen both had cameras strapped to their heads and went underwater, accompanied by photographers, the audience had a clear view of the underwater scene. Sunlight filtered down from the surface, illuminating the sea creatures with dazzling splendor: vibrant corals, swaying waterweed, schools of fish swimming, giant crabs waving their claws among the cracks in the pebbles, and various shellfish opening and closing their shells.

Some people sighed, maybe this is why some people like diving, the seabed is really beautiful.

Su Huaichen, however, had no intention of appreciating the beautiful scenery. As soon as he entered the water, he saw a huge shadow in the distance. He quickly swam behind Chu Huaiqin and poked him with his hand. When the man turned around, he pointed to the distance in the sea, his face showing anxiety.

Chu Huaiqin followed his gaze and saw a huge shadow standing still there. Due to the limited vision in the water, he could only see a rough outline.

Chu Huaiqin patted Su Huaichen and pointed to the water surface. The two of them quickly swam up, exhaled, wiped the water off their faces, and said, "I'll go take a look."

"It's too dangerous. What if there are sharks?"

"This is a shallow sea area. There won't be any sharks. Don't worry!"

Chu Huaiqin finished speaking, took a breath and dove back into the water. Su Huaichen rubbed his head with a headache and also dived in. He couldn't let Chu Huaiqin go into the water alone. This premonition came inexplicably, and he chose to believe it.

The shadow was still some distance away from the two of them. Chu Huaiqin took two breaths before reaching the surface of the shadow. He took a deep breath and dived into the sea again.

The shark Su Huaichen was worried about didn't appear. This was an abandoned ship. Chu Huaiqin observed carefully and found that one side of the ship was a different color than the rest, which suggested someone had been there. This wasn't a large ship, and there were no treasures or research value. Who would come here?

Director team.

What are you here for?

Put down the dagger.

Chu Huaiqin instantly figured it out and swam towards the wreck. Su Huaichen, who was following behind Chu Huaiqin, was now unsure. What did he see? There was a creature with a strange-looking head, long whiskers, and a colorful body beside the ship.

Su Huaichen had never seen this creature before. It resembled a centipede, segmented and sturdy. Its body was covered in vibrant colors, like armor, and it looked incredibly tough. Its lower body was buried in the mud, while the exposed part, at least half a meter long, swayed in the water, seemingly waiting for its prey.

What scared Su Huaichen the most was that this thing was very close to where Chu Huaiqin was swimming, and it was in Chu Huaiqin's blind spot.

Su Huaichen instinctively opened his mouth to scream, but the seawater instantly rushed into his mouth. He stumbled a few times in the seawater and watched in horror as Chu Huaiqin swam towards the strange thing...
