Chapter 270 The 270th Day of the Beginning [Second Update] 0:30
Day 270 of the story [Second Update]
The orca pod has left, but the blood of that great white shark still lingers on the sea surface.
A great white shark, measuring eight meters in length, is a ferocious predator that would dominate any sea area, but here it encountered a pod of killer whales.
Its carcass was almost completely preserved, with only the liver in its abdomen missing. The rest of its body was almost entirely devoured by the killer whale, and its blood completely stained the sea red.
"Do you think those orcas came with the sharks or with us?" Yin Yu asked He Lianzhou.
Could it be their appeal to these creatures as monster lords?
If so, they are truly walking biological traps.
Yin Yu frowned. Regardless of the truth, they were trying to leave this place. The blood here was too heavy; the carcass of a great white shark was enough to attract more sharks.
“Hunting in the ocean is difficult. I think these orcas just won’t let any shark that comes into their path go unchecked,” He Lianzhou shrugged and replied. “Like this shark, even when it encounters an orca pod, it won’t give up the food that’s already in its mouth. It’s just following its ancient survival instinct, its pursuit of blood and its hunting.”
"It's like a fundamental principle in the biological world," Yin Yu said softly.
He Lianzhou nodded in agreement and grinned.
Yin Yu let out a soft breath. He turned his gaze back to the small fish brought by the young orca, shook his head, and joked, "I didn't expect to have to rely on orcas to feed us. Does that count as cheating?"
He Lianzhou laughed upon hearing this, knowing that Yin Yu was referring to the rules which did not allow them to use the lord's abilities.
But all living things are naturally drawn to the Lord.
Yin Yu grabbed a stone shard and roughly scraped off the fish scales and gutted it before handing the cleaned fish to He Lianzhou.
“This pink salmon was a gift from an orca, guaranteed fresh,” Yin Yu said, then poked the fish’s eye with a stone. “Don’t waste it. Give it some water.”
"What if there are parasites?" He Lianzhou hesitated for a moment.
"You're only worried about parasites now?" Yin Yu looked at He Lianzhou incredulously. "Don't make excuses. You'll have to take medicine when you get back. If there are worms, treat them; if not, treat it like candy."
It was a bit difficult to cut the fish with a stone slab. It was already quite good that he had gutted the fish. For the rest, Yin Yu simply took a big bite out of the fish's belly.
The pink salmon was very fresh; it's a relative of salmon, and practically can be eaten raw.
He Lianzhou watched as Yin Yu tore off a large piece of food raw, chewing on it with a satisfying crunch. For a moment, he couldn't tell who was the one who had been raised by the witch wolf since childhood.
How come Yin Yu is even more barbaric than him?
I was puzzled.
Okay, thank you for feeding us, baby orca!
[Yu Ge is eating it raw!!! Amazing, it looks so delicious even raw!]
[The kids are getting hungry watching this, Brother Yu, maybe you could try a different food-related livestreaming format next time.]
This is really good, especially since Brother Yu has lost his sense of taste.
“I doubt you’re saying anything nice.” Yin Yu glanced at the live stream, his lips twitching slightly. “In fact, the taste of this raw fish is similar to that of salmon. They’re related. The belly of the fish has more oil, and the texture is more creamy and soft, just like ice cream.”
He Lianzhou sighed, took a bite, and chewed slowly. He rarely ate seafood, probably because the Witch Wolf's living environment was not near the sea.
However, He Lianzhou's eyes lit up quickly; this time, he really hadn't been tricked by Yin Yu.
"It's alright, isn't it?" Yin Yu chuckled as he watched He Lianzhou's expression change, and scoffed lightly, "Too picky. You've got your eyes treated too, that's good."
[Yu Ge's description sounds like he's a professional mukbang streamer, hahaha]
[Monster Hunter, don't believe fish eyes!! It's common knowledge that descriptions of food as beneficial are usually terribly unpalatable!!]
He Lianzhou's eyeball had already been stuffed into it by Yin Yu.
It's slippery, wet, and sticky with a little bit of mucus. It's as hard as a glass bead, and you can't bite it with your teeth. If you bite hard, it will slip away.
He Lianzhou couldn't help but watch how Yin Yu bit it. He saw Yin Yu hold it in place with his fingers, then bite down hard with his upper and lower teeth, and the dark liquid flowed out.
He Lianzhou: ""
This really can't be.
[This looks like some kind of wicked, culinary disaster from Brother Yu.]
My appetite follows a parabolic curve as the streamer eats.
[LOL!]
“Now I wish that when those orcas bring me fish, I should let them bite off their heads first.” He Lianzhou’s tone was calm and almost numb.
Yin Yu scoffed, "You have too many requirements."
[Ahhh, I'm dying of laughter! Monster Hunter guy's perfectly reasonable request!]
[Speaking of which, I'm still replaying the Monster Hunter guy's actions and words towards the orca in my mind!]
[I get it!! There's a strange sense of dominance?! It's like we're actually communicating!]
[Wasn't that the orca leader the one holding the Monster Hunter's palm earlier? These two really didn't seem scared at all! They were panicking before the shark even appeared!]
[Nonsense, the orca leader apologizing to someone? Who do humans think they are? To me, humans are like stray cats to humans—they look pitiful and we just feed them.]
[+111, and in the end, the streamers got away with it? And they even have the nerve to say they're so dominant... How dare they say something like that?]
[Seriously, who has the nerve to say "I accept"? Do they really think they're accepting an apology from the orca? Don't be ridiculous.]
[Emmmm, after doing so many bad things, they still have the nerve to think the orca is apologizing... That's really taking it a bit too far.]
Since we're on this topic, I'd like to ask if anyone in our livestream room is someone we saw in the front row of that big battle ten years ago? Does anyone else feel like they look familiar?
[Who looks familiar? Who looks familiar? Why are you bringing up the war from ten years ago?]
[Damn, I get you!! I've wanted to say this for a long time!! But I didn't dare!! But thinking about it, the chances of that person appearing openly in the live stream are almost zero? Wouldn't it be shut down?]
【Huh? That one? Wait, do you mean the one on the monster's side??】
Who? The streamer?
[Of course not, what I'm trying to say is that, considering how much Monster Hunter guy knows about all sorts of monsters and beasts, calls himself a Monster Hunter, and... well, he has a deep-seated prejudice against humans, doesn't that sound like a perfect fit for the stereotype?]
[Perhaps the humans weren't actually going all out at point-blank range; the orca leader's posture was actually quite clear, wasn't it?]

The more the discussion went on in the live stream, the more something seemed off, yet strangely, it didn't get any attention or intervention.
Inside the official building of the Raven Platform, Luo Nan broke out in a cold sweat. He immediately went to the search engine to search for videos of the battle ten years ago. Only a few videos recorded on the front lines of the war still existed, but most of them were of extremely poor quality, and it was almost impossible to see what the person on the head of that giant python looked like.
But soon, Luo Nan's office was suddenly broken into without warning. A team of special police officers filed in, followed by a man who was clearly of a high military rank.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" Luo Nan asked, startled, but quickly composed himself.
"Don't be nervous, we're just here to make sure the live stream doesn't get out of control," the man said.
"You want me to turn off the live streaming privileges?" Luo Nan asked, guessing.
“No, it’s just monitoring.” The man raised his hand to refuse. “Everything can proceed as usual.”
His instructions were to monitor the monster lord's movements, avoid conflict as much as possible, and seek opportunities and strategies for peaceful coexistence in the future.

Yin Yu stopped paying attention to the live stream and didn't even eat the raw fish anymore.
Even He Lianzhou couldn't help but tense up, carefully but quickly rowing the raft alongside Yin Yu.
Less than fifty meters away from them, about a dozen sharks had gathered, their gray-black triangular dorsal fins standing upright on the surface of the sea, posing an unmistakable threat.
Sharks from elsewhere have already traveled a long way to come and enjoy this free feast.
Among these sharks are small, harmless sharks, and large, aggressive sharks.
In less than half an hour, more than a dozen sharks had already gathered here!
If it were in a safe situation, Yin Yu might be happy to see this, because the presence of sharks often indicates a healthy ecosystem. But not now, because now they are about to become the sharks' prey.
Beneath the surface, more and more sharks are joining this culinary feast.
They swam and tore at the carcass of the great white shark, unknowingly forming what looked like an underwater shark tornado.
"We're not fast enough," Yin Yu said in a low voice.
Their speed largely depended on the ocean currents. They still didn't use a paddle, relying only on the piece of wood they had picked up earlier. But then again, even if they had a paddle, no matter how fast they paddled, they couldn't keep up with the speed of a shark.
“Once those sharks have finished eating, the sharks that didn’t get any and are still hungry will probably turn their attention to us,” He Lianzhou replied.
These sharks don't care about who the lords are like orcas. These creatures have one of the oldest genes in the world, and they are very intelligent, but not nearly as wise as orcas. They simply follow their biological instincts.
Even orcas wouldn't want to deal with such an excited swarm of sharks caught up in a bloody frenzy.
He Lianzhou looked up at the sky: "The situation will be even worse when it gets dark."
The orcas' hunting practice has been going on for a very long time, and there is now less than an hour until dark.
As soon as he finished speaking, the triangular dorsal fins that had been lingering and swimming not far away suddenly scattered as if they had received some signal, and quickly swam away from the two people's field of vision.
He Lianzhou's expression darkened upon seeing this.
