Day 207 of the game
The World Serpent suddenly moved, as if it had spotted a target, and darted out, its tail tip not forgetting to snatch He Lianzhou away.
Oh, snake me! I've detected two warm clumps!
The World Serpent's size suddenly increased dramatically. Although the figure swam very fast underground, it could not stop the World Serpent's massive body, which suddenly increased in size like a city wall, from rapidly encroaching on the entire huge underground water body.
He Lianzhou saw clearly what was in front of him. Its size was no less than that of a giant python as thick as an oil drum. It had one leg and one horn, but it was very different from a dragon. Only its lower body was as thick and long as a python's body. However, due to the explosion and the rolling of mud and rocks, it was impossible to tell how long this body of water stretched. But at this moment, it stood upright like a snake of the world, almost as tall as a snake.
Its upper body is as large and sturdy as a bison, and its pair of curved, sharp horns are terrifying, leaving no doubt that it can easily pierce through rocks.
Its eyes were blood red, its fur was a deep blue-green like dark algae, and its single foot was like the claw of an eagle, with distinct fingers and claws.
He Lianzhou's pupils contracted slightly. He had never seen anything like it before. But what truly changed He Lianzhou's expression was that he discovered a small human figure on the body of this colossal beast.
His breath hitched suddenly, and then he slapped the snake's body, and the python's tail immediately coiled him behind the huge back of the beast.
He Lianzhou only had time to catch a glimpse of it for a moment before the beast immediately tensed up, quickly turning towards him. Its scarlet bull eyes stared at the man before it, and lightning flashed as it panted, as if it were about to attack at any moment.
He Lianzhou's face instantly turned cold, devoid of any warmth. Just one glance was enough for him to confirm that the figure curled up behind the giant beast was Yin Yu!
He clapped his hands together, and a sphere that was almost a vacuum was formed. The surrounding water was compressed into a water lock, which quickly wrapped around the mouth and nose of the giant beast. Lightning flashed wildly only within this water lock.
The beast froze, its scarlet eyes flashing with a mixture of surprise and uncertainty.
This is the power of the lord.
What is it catching behind it?
It was clear that it was the first to smell the lord's scent on that figure.
He Lianzhou quickly arrived at the side of the figure and saw that the figure was almost completely buried in the long fur of the beast.
He Lianzhou's breathing became heavy and rapid, and his outstretched hand trembled. He clenched his fist to stop the damn trembling and carefully turned the body over.
Yin Yu's calm face with his eyes closed came into his view, almost as if he were asleep.
Upon seeing this, He Lianzhou recoiled as if he had been burned.
But soon, he laid Yin Yuping down, put his hands together, and squeezed Yin Yuping's chest hard.
Yin Yu once said that humans are so fragile that if any factor such as pressure, oxygen, or temperature goes wrong when they are underwater, it can lead to death. But humans are also so resilient that their bodies will activate the last barrier to protect themselves and enter a state of suspended animation. Their hearts stop beating, they stop breathing, and even instruments will determine that they are dead. But true death only occurs when the body has exhausted its last bit of energy.
In the cave, only each other could save them, only each other could reignite their heartbeats.
He Lianzhou instinctively hated studying this section. He even teased Yin Yu, saying that as a lord who could extract life force, his first aid methods should be somewhat different from those of humans. Yin Yu just rolled his eyes at him.
Now He Lianzhou was glad that he still remembered the correct way to do it. He could feel the pressure under his palm, and he could feel that Yin Yu's ribs were being broken by him. Only in that way could he touch that soft heart and make that heart beat again.
With each effort He Lianzhou exerted, it was as if he could clearly hear the sound of bones breaking explode in his ears, even though his rational mind knew very well that it was impossible for him to hear the sound of Yin Yu's ribs breaking, just as he could not hear the sound of Yin Yu's heart starting to beat again.
But he still felt the surrounding noise was too loud.
The sound made his head spin. He pressed on Yin Yu's chest almost instinctively, not noticing that with each press, he unconsciously forced his own life force into Yin Yu's body, making it swim and then uselessly overflow and dissipate.
Yin Yu has never made a mistake; he's always right. So doing this will definitely work. We'll definitely be able to bring Yin Yu back.
He Lianzhou pressed his lips tightly together, relentlessly pressing on Yin Yu's chest, ignoring how many ribs he had broken or how long Yin Yu's heart had stopped beating.
He guessed it wouldn't be long, and he would definitely have time to bring Yin Yu back.
Yin Yu had told him that someone's heart had stopped beating for a full four minutes, but they still survived. He knew he couldn't have spent that much time finding Yin Yu.
Moreover, Yin Yu is not just "some people." Yin Yu is important; he is too important. He is too important to this world. He cannot die so easily, or the balance will be disrupted and the rules will collapse.
On the other hand, this might be the reason why the rules unbanned He Lianzhou's abilities and returned them in full.
However, He Lianzhou refused to acknowledge this possibility.
The sound of time passing became deafening in He Lianzhou's mind.
He Lianzhou pressed down blindly, like a robot repeating a mechanical action.
Until a sudden, hoarse breath, like an old, broken exhaust fan suddenly starting up, rang out without any warning, rushing into He Lianzhou's brain and interrupting the roar of time passing by.
He Lianzhou suddenly stopped moving, and then all the black and chaotic vision in his eyes disappeared.
Suddenly, Yin Yu opened his eyes, his mouth agape, and his chest slowly began to rise and fall.
He Lianzhou was stunned for a moment upon seeing this, remaining motionless with his eyes fixed on Yin Yu, not daring to blink even slightly, as if the slightest movement would shatter the dreamlike scene of Yin Yu breathing before him.
"You brought me out." Yin Yu's voice was low and hoarse, almost inaudible.
He Lianzhou seemed to be startled awake, and his hand on Yin Yu's chest began to tremble uncontrollably.
Yin Yu's gaze shifted downwards, landing on He Lianzhou's trembling hand. He then forced a smile and closed his eyes again.
"Yin Yu! Yin Yu!? Please, open your eyes, please open your eyes for me!" He Lianzhou's almost panicked voice pierced Yin Yu's ears, forcing him to open his eyes again.
He looked at He Lianzhou and saw that He Lianzhou's eyes were bloodshot, showing a fragile stubbornness and confusion. Perhaps because the mask was no longer there, his eyes and facial expressions were even more vivid and intense.
Seeing this, Yin Yu's gaze darkened. He slowly raised his hand, his fingers lightly brushing across He Lianzhou's nose and gliding over the skin under his eyes, which was covered with hideous, blood-red patterns: "The mask... fell off?"
He Lianzhou stared intently at Yin Yu, and only after hearing Yin Yu's words did he feel the touch of Yin Yu's fingers on his cheek.
This was the first time he felt Yin Yu's hand stroking his cheek, and he realized that his mask had fallen off at some point.
He forced a smile and nodded haphazardly, replying, "It's gone, it's okay."
Yin Yu nodded slightly. He breathed heavily, each gasp causing a dull pain in his chest, but he still grinned and looked at He Lianzhou: "You did very well."
He Lianzhou paused upon hearing this, his gaze falling on Yin Yu's chest, his fingers unconsciously tightening.
"I broke your ribs."
"You saved me." Yin Yu exhaled, uttering a few short and quick words.
He Lianzhou nodded, murmuring softly, "You reminded me."
Yin Yu looked at He Lianzhou, stared at him quietly for a few seconds, then looked away and said, "We'll talk about this when we get back. Right now, in my equipment bag, there's medicine."
He brought down a lot of the healing pills he redeemed from the system, just in case.
Upon hearing this, He Lianzhou quickly realized what Yin Yu was referring to, and he immediately searched for Yin Yu's backpack.
However, nothing was found.
He Lianzhou found a large tear on the outside of the backpack. Only some large items remained inside; the rest had been thrown into some corner.
Upon seeing this, Yin Yu couldn't help but mutter a curse.
"Okay, at least we're not in the water anymore," Yin Yu said wearily, tilting his head back to comfort her.
He saw the decompression time displayed on his wetsuit: 700 minutes. But at least for now, he didn't have to worry about oxygen.
He only had one air cylinder left, but thankfully the open-type respirator was still intact.
Hearing what Yin Yu said, He Lianzhou paused, looked around, and realized that Yin Yu probably hadn't recovered yet and hadn't carefully assessed their location.
“To be precise, we’re in the water,” he said softly.
Yin Yu was frowning as he examined the strange, furry texture beneath his hands and body. Was it fur? Moss? Or something else?
Where was he lying? It was hard; at first he thought it was just a rock, but now it seemed a little off.
But soon, He Lianzhou's words took all his attention.
He suddenly opened his eyes wide and looked around. Because of the slightly larger movement, he couldn't help but groan in pain and take short, shallow breaths.
He Lianzhou immediately seized him.
"Damn." Yin Yu's gaze slowly swept over the water wall that seemed to isolate them, and his eyes widened slightly.
But then his gaze fell upon what lay beneath him, where he saw a vague, indistinct reflection in the water wall that resembled a giant bull, or a dragon with horns, its thick, long tail seemingly disappearing into an abyss, its whiskers and tail unseen.
"Damn it!" Yin Yu cursed under his breath, two extremely rare low curses that made He Lianzhou blink involuntarily.
