Chapter 109 The Castle (Part 4)

The moment Xiao collapsed into Zhongli's arms, Wendy on the ship seemed to sense it; a sharp pain shot through her heart. She put down her wine, staring blankly into the sea, muttering unconsciously, "Xiao? The old man shouldn't let anything happen to him, right..."

Although he really wanted to jump, there was still a Vanan on the ship whose fighting strength had not fully recovered. Wendy folded a ball of wind in his hand and threw it into the sea.

The wind ball seemed to know what its master was thinking, and flew straight toward Xiao. Some monsters tried to disperse the wind ball, but they were all cut and shattered by the protective wind blades that Wendi had set up outside the wind ball. The faint divine aura emanating from the wind blades made the monsters hesitate.

The wind that merged into Xiao's body not only suppressed the karmic burden stirred up by the monster, but also repaired the meridians within Xiao's body that had been shattered. His eyelids trembled slightly, and Xiao soon woke up. "Zhongli... Lord?!" Realizing belatedly that he had fallen into Zhongli's arms, Xiao's face immediately turned bright red, and he quickly broke free and jumped to the side, looking completely flustered.

"Don't worry, it was that drunken poet who saved you." Zhongli's eyes softened slightly, and the blush on Xiao's face, which had just faded a little, immediately turned bright red again.

"Ah, yes, it's Wendy, um, okay..." Xiao's lips trembled as he spoke, his hands unconsciously rubbing his pants. When he saw Zhongli staring at him, he immediately lowered his head.

"Sigh." Zhongli shook his head and sighed deeply.

The unease in her heart grew stronger. Wendy glanced at Vanan, who was blowing the sea breeze on the deck, set up a wind shield, left a trace of divine aura, and jumped off the ship.

The door was supposed to close automatically after Zhongli and the other two went in, but when Wendy entered, a gentle breeze pushed the door open, revealing the first floor that had been destroyed beyond recognition by the Pursuers.

The divine aura reappeared. The little girl's smile had vanished completely as she coldly stared at Zhongli. Zhongli, still with his legs crossed, calmly sipped his tea. Xiao raised his head, feeling a mix of trepidation and anticipation. The familiar aura surrounded him, but he was injured again, and his life hung by a thread. If it weren't for Wendy, he didn't know when he would wake up.

I think I've made him worry again.

"Hey everyone, it's been a while! Eh? And who are these people?" Wendy easily made her way up to the third floor, waving to greet everyone. She looked at Shen Wen and the other two with a hint of confusion. "My name is Shen Wen, this is Wen Xiaoya, and that's Sheng Hu." Before the other two could speak, Shen Wen immediately introduced them. Wendy chuckled, "Hello everyone, I'm Wendy, the best bard in all of Teyvat. It's a pleasure to meet you." "Ahem." Zhongli coughed a few times untimely. Wendy smiled and glanced sideways at Zhongli before walking over to Xiao.

Xiao visibly tensed up, while Wendy circled around him several times before finally spotting a small, inconspicuous wound on his arm. Wendy's expression immediately became anxious, and she grabbed Xiao's arm, saying urgently, "Xiao, are you hurt?" "Um... it's nothing serious, don't worry," Xiao replied, initially intending to say he was fine, but seeing Wendy's expression, he changed his mind.

"Grandpa, how did Xiao get injured?" Wendy immediately asked Zhongli, hands on her hips. Zhongli calmly took a sip of tea. Xiao immediately said, "It's not Lord Zhongli's fault, it was my own carelessness." "I don't want to hear it, Grandpa, you have to give me an explanation." Wendy covered her ears and looked at Zhongli.

"The heavens are shaking..."

"Fine, fine, it's none of your business." Wendy reflexively shrank her neck, then straightened her back and ignored Zhongli.

"Pfft, hahaha, the only thing on his body that's hard is his mouth."

"Wendy chickened out, hahaha. Even if he knew Wendy was the Wind God, he would still be afraid of Zhongli."

"Zhongli must be the Rock God, since he can easily manipulate the power of the earth."

"Yes, yes, and his Eye of God is on his butt, wow, so perky."

"So perky, so perky, I really want to pat it."

"If Zhongli were the Rock God, would his butt get hard?"

"If you slap it, pang~ your hand must hurt a lot."

"We have visuals and sound effects now, it's all your fault!"

The live stream audience couldn't stop laughing at Wendy's cowardly attitude, and everyone shared their opinions. Wendy saw this, pouted, and said, "I'm not afraid of him, I'm just stating the facts."

"Yeah, right, stating the facts, but you chickened out too, didn't you?"

"Hahaha, the person upstairs is so mean."

Xiao walked to Wendy's side, took her hand, and placed it on his chest, saying, "I'm fine. Look, it's still beating." Wendy's face flushed, and the warmth emanating from her thin shirt made her head spin. Zhongli's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the little girl.

The little girl lowered her head at some point, and the smile on the doll's face turned into a crying face. Wendy noticed the strangeness, shielded Xiao behind her, and stared at the little girl without moving.

“I’m so glad we have new guests. Well then, you will become fertilizer for this castle!” The little girl raised her head, her red pupils shrinking to the size of needles, her eyes filled with madness, and she smiled broadly. The castle began to shake, and Zhong Li quickly put his shield back on. The Tracer grabbed Shen Wen and Wen Xiaoya’s clothes with one hand and Sheng Hu’s clothes with the other and soared into the air.

Wendy unleashed a wind field, grabbed Xiao, and flew into the sky, while Zhongli remained calm and unmoved.

The castle collapsed, and the seven people were thrown outside. The Pursuer was alright, barely touching the water in the air, but Shen Wen and the other two had already started vomiting. After they finished vomiting, they saw Zhongli and Wendy floating in the air, with Xiao and the Pursuer in front of them.

"It's been a long time since we teamed up, old man. Hey, can you still move your bones?" Wendy wasn't too nervous. Instead, she made a joke. Zhongli crossed her arms, her golden eyes glowing slightly. She glanced at Wendy, who returned a smile.

In an instant, the castle transformed into a monster with legs and arms. The door became its mouth, the windows its eyes, and the chimney its weapon. It was holding a sword in its hand. On the castle, the little girl stood upright, her doll vanished. Then, the ground shook violently, and behind her appeared a giant doll, identical to the one in the little girl's arms, but much larger and as tall as the house. It was holding two swords.

"You will all die here!" the little girl shouted, laughing.
