Chapter 55 Paimon Eats the Title Again

"Hey, wake up, it's your turn to keep watch." Wendy was sound asleep when Tinari shook her awake.

A cold wind blew into the tent, making Wendy shiver, but she still got up.

“Sino went ahead to scout ahead and found a village. There seem to be people in there; they must be residents of this world. Let’s go there together after we wake up,” Tinari said.

"Okay, okay." Wendy yawned. She hadn't slept for very long and was still a little groggy, but she woke up instantly when she saw Seno protecting Tinari as they entered the tent.

He's not sleepy when it comes to gossip!

However, one cannot eavesdrop too closely, or one will be discovered. Therefore, Wendy stood relatively far away, but this did not prevent him from receiving whispers through the wind.

"No...we have to travel tomorrow..."

"I'll carry you on my back."

"Wait, no, Wendy... Barbatos is still here..."

"Don't worry, he knows about it."

"Sino! It's easy for you to say that when you're not the one suffering the consequences!"

"When did I ever say I was talking without understanding the pain?"

"Playing such fancy tricks?" Wendy blushed as she listened, thankfully she had muted the live stream beforehand.

The second half of the night is so hard to endure, Tinari and Seno are so wonderful, this is not good, not good.

Staying up all night is a very boring thing, so Wendy started to slack off in the live stream.

Since the interactive feature was added to the live stream, Wendy hasn't really looked into it much. Now that she sees it, it's just typing and then putting it in a prominent place for a minute.

There weren't many people in the live stream at this time, because it was already midnight and most people had gone to sleep. The people who remained were night owls, and there weren't many comments.

Suddenly, Wendy's face appeared close to mine. I thought she was going to do something, but then Wendy typed: "Anyone want to chat with me? Keeping watch is so boring."

The live stream instantly went viral, and the night owls were no longer sleepy. They all started typing away, asking Wendy what she wanted to talk about. Wendy chuckled and said, "What do you guys want to talk about?"

This sparked a variety of comments, such as: "What kind of burlap sack does Wendy like?"

"Wendy, what are your criteria for choosing a partner?"

"Wendy, Wendy, when are you going to come to Earth?"

"Huh? Blue Star? I've been there. Back then, I was staying at the house of someone named Qin... what was it again? I even went to a comic convention. Oh right, I also went to see that model master you guys were talking about!" Wendy stuck out her tongue and smiled.

"???"

"???"

"Where is she?! Wendy, why didn't you tell me?!"

"Huh? How would I know where it is?" Wendy immediately put on a pitiful expression, looking so pathetic that everyone felt a surge of maternal affection for her (?).

"Okay, okay, we were wrong!"

"Don't cry, Wendy, my baby."

Time passed slowly as Wendy chatted with the live stream. As Wendy expected, the next day, Seno came out carrying Tinari on his back. Tinari still had a blush on his face, and his smooth, shiny tail from yesterday was now disheveled.

"Thank you for your hard work." Seno, who was not good with words, could only utter four words. Wendy didn't care at all. She had lived for so long and had never eaten pork but had never seen a pig run. This kind of thing was not taboo.

At least Wendy, this ancient deity, thinks there's nothing wrong with it.

Tinari was fast asleep, so Seno carried him forward. Wendy, on the other hand, took out an apple and started munching on it. He felt completely relaxed now, not having to show off his skills but just slacking off, which was incredibly enjoyable!

Before long, they saw the village that Tina had mentioned earlier. The village looked rather dilapidated, with houses built of sand and cloth. From the outside, it was clear that people had lived there.

Sino suddenly stopped moving and gestured to Wendy with his eyes. Wendy instantly understood what Sino meant, and the apple in her hand suddenly lost its appeal. She could only go ahead to scout the way with a long face.

"Oh, a young person. It's been a long time since we've seen young people in this little town." Wendy had just seen an old lady and was about to ask for directions when she greeted him with a smile. "Grandma, are you doing well in the desert? Is there anywhere to rest up ahead?" Wendy asked.

"Ah, the young people have all gone out to work. They're barely making ends meet under the Wing King's rule. Young people, are you going to the city?" the old woman asked. Wendy nodded and said, "We are merchants from out of town. We'd like to ask what the situation is like now."

It turns out that this desert was divided into many areas, some inhabited by humans, some by the supernatural, and of course, there were neutral areas. The place where Wendy and Tinari landed was on the edge of the human-inhabited area, right next to the boundary of the supernatural area.

"Congratulations to Wendy of the Blue Star Dragon Kingdom for triggering the prerequisite quest!"

Attention all contestants!

Mission Assignment: Players are asked to choose a faction and help their faction win to be teleported back to their home country and receive a large amount of national fortune rewards.

The winner returns to their country and receives a reward.

Losers: Annihilation.

The news of the nation's demise suddenly struck me. Wendy quickly won the old lady's favor with his smooth talk. After borrowing the old lady's house and map, Wendy handed over the rest of the matter to Seno.

Talking is so tiring, you know.

"So, do we choose the Mysterious faction or the Human faction?" Seno asked. Wendy rolled her eyes at him. "Isn't it obvious? We can only choose Human. Mysterious ones are all ghosts and those scary things."

Ugh! Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!

After resting at the old lady's house for half a day, Tinari woke up, but his voice still sounded hoarse. The first thing he did after waking up was to kick Seno, but the kick was weak and powerless.

Seno cooperated by performing a very painful action, earning him a big eye roll from Tinari.

The three of them left silently, leaving only two apples on the old lady's table. They were now heading to the human camp's headquarters, the great city where the Wing King was located: Soaring City.

The mission is only complete when you are there.

Judging from the map we saw earlier, Flying City is quite a distance from the small village. We will pass through many small towns along the way. Wendy doesn't care whether we rest or not, and Seno also said that we don't need to rest too many times.

Tinaari has Seno carrying her, but it's Seno who's tired.

After rushing for a while, they finally arrived at the gates of Tengfei City. The city was much larger than they had imagined, making the three of them feel incredibly small.

What am I even writing...?

Ugh... It feels like this has already gone beyond the realm of national destiny!!!
