(A note beforehand: the author's Wanderer account is an alt and not played often, so the character's personality might be out of character. Please be gentle with your criticism.)
In the final days before the deadline, Wendy and Xiao bought some antiques on a fairly famous antique street in the Dragon Kingdom. Actually, neither of them was very good at choosing antiques; if they had to say, it was purely based on intuition. They also bought some tea, tea from another world, wondering if the old man would like it.
After checking one last time to make sure nothing was missed, Wendy, carrying the slime, returned to Teyvat with Xiao.
The antiques and tea were given to Xiao to take to the old man, while Wendy checked her emails.
"The fourth phase of the nation's destiny is about to begin."
Participating planets: 132 in total
Location: Ocean survival.
Important: The Tower of Trials has reopened.
There were only four lines, and no other requirements. Wendy read them over carefully, both horizontally and vertically, and there really was no other hidden information.
"The ocean? Hmm~ A natural water elemental enchantment, hopefully I can get some good teammates~" Venti prayed.
As soon as the deadline passed, Wendy was immediately teleported to the forbidden area of the nation's destiny.
At this moment, all three teammates were standing on the raft. The first thing Wendy saw was Xiao, not the other teammates.
"Xiao~" Wendy lunged forward, but a cough brought her to a halt mid-air. She stiffly turned her head, only to see the old man's calm, expressionless face. "...Hi, what a coincidence, old man?" Wendy forced a greeting. "Yes, what a coincidence." Zhongli revealed his weapon: the He Pu Yuan.
If He Pu Yuan is with the Emperor, then Xiao's weapon is... "Your Majesty, may I have it returned to me?" Xiao asked pitifully, clutching the Slime Gun. "Ahem, of course." Zhongli coughed and returned He Pu Yuan to Xiao. "Is it that the Traveler wants to try out his so-called 'corner of the Demon God War' again?" Wendy asked. Zhongli nodded. Luckily, this time he had He Pu Yuan. Last time, he took the Hall Master's protective charm to chase after Wendy, and the Hall Master was angry for several hours afterward. After all, the protective charm was a gift from the Traveler, and it was very valuable. It would be troublesome if it were lost.
"You three seem to be having a good time. Should I move a little further away and open a private window for you?" The Wanderer remarked, seeing Wendy and the others enjoying their conversation, and immediately received a death stare from Xiao. "Huh? Am I being harsh? I'm just stating the facts. Those who can't accept it should reflect on why their tolerance is so fragile. Ha, ants." The Wanderer retorted again, and Xiao immediately walked up to him, his cold golden eyes staring directly at him. The Wanderer didn't back down and glared back.
Wendy could almost see sparks flying between the two of them. Instead of trying to persuade them, he thought: Ah, natural lightning enchantment, how wonderful.
“Unnecessary. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Untraceable Man. If you find that name hard to pronounce, just call me Tracer. Don’t call me by any other names, like ‘Bengbeng Little Round Hat’ or ‘Inari’s Runaway Princess’ or anything like that. I find them disgusting.” Wanderer… Oh, Tracer, after saying that, he pulled his large hat down lower and stopped looking at the three of them.
Zhongli's expression grew increasingly grim. This was the ocean. Zhongli used his rock element to check if there was any land or anything like that around him. Unfortunately, there wasn't. Apart from the towering tower in the distance, there was nothing here but the ocean. The only place that could be called land was the seabed deep in the ocean.
In other words, the four of them would spend an entire period of the nation's fate at sea.
Wendy opened the national fortune interface and discovered that the small raft could be upgraded. The 30 planks she had obtained in the previous stage came in handy, and she directly turned the small raft into a small boat.
The boat wasn't large; the stern was the cabin, which contained a tea table and a place to boil water. The sleeping area was in the cabin, while a bamboo pole sat at the bow, waiting for a boatman to steer it. The cabin and the bow were separated only by a thin curtain. It would be just right for two people, but with four men on the boat, it felt quite crowded.
"Grandpa, would you come with me to the Tower of Trials? Although there are many monsters in there, at least it's grounded." Wendy asked. Zhongli thought for a moment and thought it was feasible. After all, he felt nauseous at the sight of the sea, so if he could spend some time on the ground every day, it wouldn't be a bad thing.
So, Wendy and Zhongli teleported away directly, and Xiao was able to manipulate the national fortune interface. The small boat is currently only level 3, and 5 planks are left out of the 30 planks. Upgrading to level 4 small boat requires 20 planks, and there are still 5 planks left.
The National Fortune Mall has turned into a lottery interface similar to a slot machine. Each draw costs 10,000, and Xiao only had about 1.3 million left from the previous National Fortune event. Xiao immediately started drawing.
"Wooden planks, wooden planks, wooden planks, obtained 3 wooden planks."
"Food, water, food. Unfortunately, I only received one serving of food."
"Coal, planks, water—unfortunately, there was nothing."
......
After drawing the cards about ten times, I only got six planks, seven portions of food, a few bottles of water, and that was it.
Actually, I was quite lucky.
"Something feels off." Xiao frowned slightly, sensing something moving rapidly toward him.
"Looking down on the mortal world." The Tracer suddenly took to the air, and Xiao couldn't help but look back, only to see something swimming towards them on the sea.
"Hey, ha!" The Tracer unleashed a series of wind blades in the air, shattering the creature. Bright red blood flowed out, seemingly enraging the being. It leaped out of the water, its gaping maw seemingly ready to swallow the Tracer whole. "Hahahaha, I won't even spare an ant." The Tracer in the sky kicked the creature to pieces, its entrails spilling across the entire ocean, at least staining the area in front of it red.
"Disgusting." The Tracker frowned, noticing Xiao looking at him, and crossed his arms. "What? Not satisfied?" Xiao didn't speak, but looked towards the Tower of Trials. "Boring." The Tracker continued to stand at the bow of the ship, facing the sea with his arms crossed, exuding an air of nonchalance.
The ocean, which had been dyed red, slowly turned blue. The shattered pieces of flesh were devoured by other fish, and the entire sea returned to calm. Suddenly, Xiao saw something floating on the sea ahead, so he used his bamboo pole to paddle towards it.
Huh? You're asking why Xiao uses a bamboo pole? People in Liyue all use bamboo rafts to cross rivers, is there a problem with a hermit using a bamboo pole? No problem.
It's a plank. After picking it up, I'm only three planks away from upgrading to a level 4 small wooden boat.
(Go recommend this book to me!)
Keep grinding the map~)
