Chapter 92 Mermaid City

Wendy had an underwater breathing pill in her hand, which she originally wanted to give to the Tracker, but the Tracker said he didn't need it and asked Wendy why she was so free to drag someone down with her.

With no other option, Wendy had to eat it herself, and then dragged the very reluctant Tracey and Xiao down with her.

Even from the surface of the sea, one could see the magnificent city below. There were no sea beasts around, only schools of fish that were very common in the sea. The fish scattered immediately upon seeing strangers coming down, and from the depths, one could faintly hear mermaids singing. Although the lyrics were incomprehensible, they were still very beautiful.

The deeper you go, the louder the singing gets, until Wendy stops near a sunken ship and sees a graceful figure sitting on top of the wreck, singing, surrounded by a group of fish, all seemingly immersed in the beautiful song.

The arrival of Wendy and her two companions did not interrupt the mermaid's singing. The three simply listened silently until the mermaid finished singing, glanced back, and immediately swam away.

"Oops, did we disturb her?" Wendy scratched her head. Suddenly, a furry creature darted out from beside her—it was the Little Mermaid, tugging at Wendy's sleeve, seemingly wanting to move forward. "Hey, should we go forward? The mermaid's city-state is just ahead, isn't it?" Wendy took out a token. The Little Mermaid's eyes lit up when she saw it, and she tried to take it, but she was too weak. Not only could she not move it, she even tumbled over in the water.

"Haha, you're adorably silly. Well, then I'll call you Jinsha." Wendy ruffled Jinsha's hair, and Jinsha nodded, not quite understanding. Then Wendy handed the keepsake to Jinsha. It was hard to imagine that Jinsha, with her small frame, could carry such a large keepsake.

But the thought that it was in the sea made me feel better.

Jinsha led the three of them deeper into the city. The mermaids who were supposed to swim far away actually followed them after seeing the token in Jinsha's hand. In this way, Jinsha led the three of them to the gate of the mermaid city-state. Two male mermaids stood on either side of the gate, holding tridents. Their muscles were bulging, and their sharp eyes swept over the three of them and the mermaid. After seeing the token, their eyes widened slightly, and then one of them swam into the city.

"Excuse me, distinguished guests, please wait here for a moment." The male mermaid who remained swam up to the three of them and bowed slightly to show his respect. Jinsha gave the token to Wendy, hid behind Wendy, peeked out slightly, and then withdrew back.

A moment later, a mermaid with long, deep blue, curly hair swam out. She wore a crown, a light veil, and her fishtail shimmered. Her sapphire blue eyes surveyed Wendy and her companions. "Welcome, guests from afar. Thank you for your valiant battle against the Sea Devourer. This is great news for our mermaid race. To express my gratitude, please allow me to show you around the city-state." Her voice was that of a mature woman, and although she possessed the air of a superior, her manner of speaking was not unpleasant.

He must be the leader of the Mermaid City-State, and Wendy bowed slightly.

"Although you are human, please allow me to cast a spell for you here. This spell will automatically expire when you return to land." After the leader finished speaking, he chanted a spell, and the three of them immediately transformed into mermaids.

Wendy wasn't wearing a hat, her clothes had turned into a white undershirt, and her legs had transformed into a fishtail, a light green with hints of sea blue, shimmering with pearl powder. Perhaps the leader mistook Wendy for a girl.

Xiao's changes were not significant. His upper body was bare, and his abdominal muscles were clearly visible. The upper half of his tail was blue, the middle was bluish-black, and the lower half was pure black. There was no pearly shimmer, but there was a thin veil.

The tracer's appearance is probably the largest. I don't know what kind of perverse taste the leader has. Although the fish tail is a normal mix of blue and purple, his short hair has turned into long hair. There is also a long veil on his head. The upper half of his clothes is a short-sleeved one-shoulder top, revealing a section of his white waist.

The three of them felt surrounded by a warm white light, and then they observed the changes in themselves.

Wendy and Xiao didn't seem to mind, but the Pursuer's cheeks were flushed, whether from anger or embarrassment, it was hard to tell. The off-the-shoulder short-sleeved top showed off the Pursuer's rounded, fair shoulders and delicate collarbones, and her exposed white waist looked incredibly slender.

"It suits you very well." The leader smiled slightly, then entered the city-state, and the three followed.

The fish tails are like legs; they can swim very fast or very slow whenever they want. Mermaid cities are indeed somewhat different from human cities, but most of the mermaids, especially the male mermaids, are focused on the pursuer, while the female mermaids are looking at Xiao's muscles with infatuated expressions.

"Xiao Bao's muscles, prprprpr..."

"The tracer is so beautiful, prprprprpr......."

"Attention, those of you who are drooling over the screen, the screen is all blurry and blocking my view of my husbands."

"Yes, yes, you're blocking my way. Hurry up and move away, or find another place to lick it. I haven't had enough yet."

"But the tracer is so beautiful, like a princess."

"Perhaps he is the princess?"

"A runaway princess, huh? That certainly fits the bill."

Opinions on the three people's mermaid costumes varied in the live stream, but it is undeniable that the tracer's mermaid costume was the most captivating.

Look at those mermen. If it weren't for the leader by their side, the pursuer might have been taken home by the mermen as their wife in the next second.

Following the leader through the bustling streets filled with mermaids, we arrived at a magnificent palace. This place was far from the main street, less noisy, and very quiet.

Upon entering the palace, one can see sofas made of pearl shells, tables made of wooden planks, pearl lamps emitting white light, and many beautiful mermaids cleaning the palace. Above the palace is a magnificent pearl shell, presumably the throne or something similar.

"Please sit down. I'm sure you have many questions, and I'll tell you everything I know." The leader swam to the throne and sat down. The three people and the fish also found seats and sat down.

"Before we came here, we encountered someone who seemed to be a puppeteer. He was controlling my friend, and he lost more than half of his soul. Do you know what happened?" Xiao asked immediately.

(I used up my pity pull, but I actually got Xiao Bao after just one extra pull! My mini-pity pull didn't go wrong!)

In other words, I traded the two pink balls from the guaranteed pull for a Xiao! My Xiao is now at C3!

Mom, I escaped from Africa!
