Chapter 56 Entering Soaring City

"Wow, is this Tengfei City? It's huge!" Wendy exclaimed, looking at the city gate, which was as tall as three old men.

Wendy sniffed the air, and her eyes lit up – it was the smell of wine! Such a fragrant wine! It smelled at least several decades old! And the aroma was so rich; it must have just been opened, when wine is at its freshest!

But... Wendy fumbled around, but had no money, not even a single Mora, and didn't know what the currency of this world was. All Wendy could do was drool over the tavern where the aroma of wine was coming from.

Next time, when I return to Teyvat, I must persuade Lord Diluc. He knows that Lord Diluc has a lot of good wine hidden away!

At worst, he could sing for a living at Angel's Gift for the rest of his life! Or he could risk his life at the Cat's Tail Tavern to drink a cocktail made by Diona herself, and he would drink the fine wine treasured by Lord Diluc!

"It's so hot..." Even in Flying City, the weather is unbearably hot, and most of the people in the city have dark skin. There are people with fair skin like Tinari and Wendy, but they are mostly kept at home as bargaining chips for profit.

Seeing two fair-skinned and cute boys walking on the street, many people had wicked thoughts.

"Beautiful lady, do you feel bored walking alone?" A dashing young man walked up to Wendy, seemingly trying to win her favor with his clumsy words.

Wendy's eyes lit up, and she had a good idea.

"Really? I really want to drink right now, big brother, can you take me there? That place, the drinks smell so good." Wendy's big, bright eyes immediately welled up with tears, and her pink lips pursed slightly, as if she was about to cry at any moment.

The young master, who couldn't bear to see a beautiful woman cry, immediately agreed, but he also made his own request: after drinking, he hoped that Wendy would come to his mansion, as he had many treasured wines.

Wendy's eyes lit up, as if she didn't understand what he meant, and she kept thanking him. Then, right in front of Tinari and Seno, she went off to drink with him.

"Wendy, is this always the case?" Even Seno, who had seen countless crimes, was dumbfounded by Wendy's actions.

The tavern was packed with people, but thanks to his status and power, the young master managed to get a private room. There was no noise from outside, only pleasant music and a few lush green plants. Coupled with the beautiful scenery that could be seen from the window, an elegant atmosphere was immediately apparent.

With fine wine and delicious food, Wendy's eyes shone brightly the whole time, and she kept eating and drinking without stopping. Occasionally, she would give the young master a flirtatious look, making him feel quite smug. No matter how expensive the wine Wendy bought, the young master wouldn't even flinch.

What's a little money compared to winning a smile from a beautiful woman?

Wendy also realized that the currency used in this world was similar to the Mora. If the Tinari and Seno had Mora, they might be able to find a place to stay temporarily.

As the alcohol took effect, Wendy's eyes became hazy, her pink lips turned red, and her unconscious murmurs sounded like the most enthusiastic invitation in the world, making the young master's mouth dry with every little movement.

"I've really met a gem today!" The young master suddenly felt that even the arranged marriage his family had made for him couldn't compare to a single hair on the head of the beauty before him, and his heart pounded in his chest.

The young master, who originally only wanted to have some fun, now felt his heart was completely filled. He only wanted the beauty in front of him to belong to him, to be able to look at him, and to be unable to live without him.

Fortunately, the beauty agreed to go to his residence after the event. There was no rush; he had plenty of time to spend with her.

Sensing the increasingly gloomy gaze of the young master, Wendy's mind raced. How could she escape without appearing too conspicuous?

The way that young master looked at her terrified Wendy; she felt like she was about to be swallowed whole.

After a hearty meal, Wendy swayed to her feet and suddenly walked up to the young master. Her expressive eyes were filled with deep affection, and her clothes slowly turned pure white. The young master felt as if he had seen an angel!

"You will be a good family. If fate allows, we will meet again someday." Wendy's voice gradually faded away, and his figure disappeared along with it.

It took the young master a while to realize that he had encountered a person with special abilities? Or rather, a deity who only existed in ancient texts?!

The pounding of his heart told him that this was not a dream. He tried to recall Wendy's appearance, but found that he couldn't remember her at all.

Feeling a void in his heart, the young master was filled with a sense of loss.

Having successfully escaped, Wendy went to find Tinarisino, not only taking several bottles of fine wine but also some pastries; the bag that held the apples came in handy.

At this point, Sino and Tinari had completed the handover of the National Games mission and Sino had been granted a two-bedroom apartment. Sino had originally wanted to go and see what the apartment was like, but Tinari stopped him. He was already mentally prepared; two-bedroom apartments were originally intended for National Games athletes, but with Sino added to the mix, and Wendy not being familiar with Sino, he couldn't bear to let Sino sleep on the floor.

My back is the problem; it might be useless for a long time.

The reason for holding onto Seno is simple: wait for Wendy.

"Hey, I'm back! I brought some goodies. The mission is already marked as complete. Hey, Tinari, what's that in your hand?" Wendy gave the pastries to Seno, then noticed the bunch of keys in Tinari's hand and asked.

"It's a house. We'll talk about the details once we're inside," Tinari said weakly.

The two-bedroom apartment wasn't large, but it had everything you needed. Seno placed Tinari on the sofa, and Seno, quite considerately, began massaging Tinari's back. Only then did Tinari reveal everything.

After Wendy left, Tinari followed the mission to the Ability Association. After explaining their purpose, they registered and all three became E-level ability users. According to the receptionist, an ability competition was organized every month to select the top 3,000 to be promoted to D-level ability users.

The house is currently free for the first month, but you have to pay 3,000 psionic energy as rent for the second month.

As for psychic powers, they can accept commissions from the Psychic Association and obtain psychic powers by completing the commissions.

“Here’s your token.” Tinari tossed a token to Wendy. “She doesn’t seem surprised that you didn’t come. Of course, she also said that any extra loot obtained during the mission is yours to keep, and the association won’t charge interest.”

“That sounds really convenient,” Wendy said.

“Then I’ll go find the client first,” Seno said. “I’ll stay with Tinari in the room.”

"Okay, okay, oh well." Wendy sighed helplessly, "I need to be quieter at night, this house doesn't seem to be very soundproof."

Seno and Tinali's faces turned bright red instantly.

(3.3 Why isn't the second half coming yet? I'm so anxious!!!)
