Chapter 34 Under the Night

Under the night sky, the grassland area near Hogg Manor was shrouded in a strange blood-red fog at some point.

There seemed to be something in the thick fog, and a few strange lights flashed from time to time.

After an unknown amount of time, a black light appeared, shining through the thick blood mist.

As time passed, the black light in the blood mist gradually grew larger and the ground began to shake.

"Shadow Leopard!"

Suddenly, a roar came from somewhere, and a vortex suddenly formed at the edge of the blood-red fog, and a black light burst out from it.

The strong black light seemed to swallow up the entire grassland. The surrounding environment lost its color under the black light and the air solidified.

At this moment, a ball of black light broke out of the blood mist and stayed where it was. The next moment, a soul-shaking roar rang out from the black light, breaking this strange scene, and the surrounding environment quickly returned to normal.

The dazzling black light that filled the area gradually faded after this roar. After the light faded, a giant black panther, which had mostly disappeared, appeared on the grass.

A moment later, the black panther turned into a black spot of light and disappeared on the grassland, and more than twenty figures on horseback appeared where the black panther disappeared.

On a high slope of the grassland not far away, a figure shrouded in a black robe looked at the figures that appeared after the black panther disappeared, shifted his gaze, and stretched out his right arm from the black robe.

Before he could make any move, a teasing voice sounded behind him, "It looks like things are not going as you planned, Guette."

The man in black robe turned sideways and looked at the burly man who was talking behind him and snorted coldly.

"Why are you still making sarcastic remarks at this time? You will have to go and stop them later."

Will waved his hand indifferently, then looked at Guette, whose expression was becoming increasingly ugly, and was stunned for a moment before straightening his attitude.

After all, we will have to fight together next time, so there is no need to make things too awkward.

Will shook his head helplessly and sighed silently in his heart.

"Okay, okay, so what are you going to do next?"

Looking at the sturdy man in front of him who was getting serious, Guet took a deep breath and calmed himself down. Then he quickly glanced at the knights not far away and thought of a strategy in his mind.

Use magic to ambush again?

No, no, not to mention that there is no magic circle anymore, even if there was one, it would be too late to set it up. What's more, others have already fallen into the trap once, and they may not fall into it again.

Kite pulling?

Guette shook his head.

This is even worse. Unless you keep using your strength to boost yourself, how can you outrun others when they are riding horses? And even if you do, you may not be caught up by the leading knight.

Thinking of the leading knight, Guet felt a headache. He was almost discovered just by watching him from a distance. Such a powerful perception ability meant that his strength was definitely above his own.

After thinking of several solutions, they were all rejected. Finally, the only option left for Guet was a head-on battle.

Whether it is a surprise attack or an ambush, a face-to-face confrontation will eventually occur. This is inevitable.

When he thought of this, Guet got a severe headache. Finally, he looked at the knights who had already started to prepare below, sighed helplessly, and turned his head to look seriously at Will who was standing beside him.

"Will, can you handle the knight who's leading them?"

Will, who was looking at the knight he was talking about, frowned when he heard the question.

"It's a bit difficult. If we were both in our prime, he would have six and I would have four."

Hearing this, Guete's face turned grim. Just as he was about to say something, he saw Will speaking with a serious expression.

"But——" His attention was instantly focused on Will's words.

"It looks like he has used up a lot of strength. I think it should be no problem for me to hold him back for a while."

"Isn't our mission to hold them back for a while?

Um?"

He turned and looked at Guiette.

Hearing the sudden change of words, Guete felt a little itchy. Damn it, this person in front of him made him so angry every time he spoke.

He waved back somewhat angrily and complained to Will.

"Damn it, can you please finish your words at once!"

Will curled his lips and said nothing, but his expression showed that he didn't listen to this "suggestion" at all.

Then Will's attention was attracted by five figures covered in black robes who suddenly walked out of the darkness behind Guette.

Sensing the lifeless figure, he wondered what it was in confusion.

Monster?

Or...the next moment he looked at the bloody body of one of the figures emerging from the gap in the black robe, as if he thought of something, his pupils contracted and he exclaimed in surprise.

“Flesh and blood demon puppet?

! ! "

Guet did not answer him. His expression was hidden under his hood and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking. He just smiled sinisterly beside the figure.

"You are responsible for holding back the leading knight, and the rest... leave it to me and these guys."

He smiled strangely and said... Livia stared in amazement at the black panther above her head disappearing into the air. Only when the knights around her began to move slowly did she come back to her senses from the shock and look at Deron beside her.

He just opened his lips slightly and wanted to ask something, but he saw that Deron, who had maintained a strong image since they met, actually showed obvious fatigue. Looking at Deron like this, he couldn't say anything and finally closed his lips silently.

"What's wrong?"

Seeing Livia stop talking when she wanted to say something, Deron was a little confused.

Then he followed Livia's strange gaze and looked at himself.

Is there anything wrong with you?

There's no problem. Then why is he looking at me like that... Oh, so it's because... Then he thought of Livia's idea. Deron was a little amused and a faint smile appeared on his face. He looked at Livia and said as cheerfully as usual.

"Don't worry, it's just that I've consumed some energy. It won't take long for me to recover."

Looking at Deron who patted his chest to show that he was fine, Livia smiled helplessly.

whoosh!

With the sound of a blood arrow cutting through the air, a blood arrow suddenly appeared in front of Livia.

Large drops of blood flew up and splashed onto the surrounding grass.

Looking at the big hand in front of him that was covered with black luster and had no blood on it, Livia's mouth twitched. Just when he was about to dodge the attack, Delon crushed the blood arrow in an instant at a speed that he couldn't even react to.

There was no time to complain. Listening to the sound of the knights around him drawing their weapons, Livia wiped the blood splashed on his face by the blood arrow, and followed Delon's gaze to look at several figures that suddenly appeared not far away...
