Chapter Ninety-Three: Guilt?

"Teacher, let him speak!" Longyue didn't care about Huang Minxing's words, nor was she angry. She looked at him as if she were looking at something else.

"Let me go. I'm telling you, if you beg me, I'll consider delaying the announcement of your return and give you some time to escape, how about that?"

Huang Minxing looked smug, seemingly unaware of just how dangerous his current situation was.

Zheng Zhong was scared. He was not Huang Minxing. He was arrogant before only because he had bodyguards, protection, and the Zheng family behind him, so he could do whatever he wanted.

Furthermore, the things he did were all aimed at those with no background or connections, so even if they wanted to rebel, they couldn't escape his grasp.

But not now. That man is too powerful. He has only ever felt that power from one person: the top expert of the Zheng family, who is the family head's personal protector.

After all, as the head of a family and one of the most prominent figures in the city, he would face no shortage of dangers.

Someone must be able to protect them closely; if something happens, it will definitely shake the foundation of a family and cause severe damage.

"I...I was wrong, please let me go, please let me go." Zheng Zhong was so frightened that he cried and begged for mercy.

"You are so kind, look, nothing has happened, please let me go. I swear, I will never appear in front of you again."

"Really, I'm not lying. I'll avoid you from now on, okay? Please let me go. I promise I'll get as far away as possible and never do anything so stupid again."

Zheng Zhong looked at Long Yue without saying a word, tears and snot streaming down his face, as if he really regretted it for the rest of his life, just as Ruo Ruo had said.

"Please, speak properly! I'll never do it again!"

"Look, they're all fine. I didn't do anything to them. Oh, right, it was him. He's the one who sent me."

Zheng Zhong suddenly caught a glimpse of Huang Minxing's disdainful face out of the corner of his eye and pointed at him.

“I was under house arrest when he sent me a message saying that he wanted me to join forces with him to deal with you. He said he would arrest all the people behind you, lock them up, break their bones and keep them in bed.”

"Yes, that's right, it was him who said it. If you don't believe me, I can show you the chat history. I have the chat history on my personal computer."

Zheng Zhongsheng was afraid that Longyue wouldn't believe him, so he turned on the personal terminal directly.

“Zhengzhong, you…”

Huang Minxing was furious that Zheng Zhong would betray him so easily, and all the words stuck in his throat.

"It's all your fault. If it weren't for you, none of this would have happened. It's all your fault, you troublemaker. If you hadn't messaged me, I would still be locked up at home. This wouldn't have happened."

"It's all your fault, it's all your fault..."

Huang Minxing looked coldly at Zheng Zhong, "Don't you have a brain? Can't you tell the difference? You come just because I tell you to? Why don't you go die if I tell you to?"

"So what if I was the one who contacted you?"

"If you weren't interested, how could I have persuaded you to come here with me so easily?"

"It's clear that you yourself have this idea, which is why we can agree on the same point so easily."

Huang Minxing scoffed, "If it weren't for his status, I wouldn't even deserve to look at someone like that."

"Shut up!" Zheng Zhong was struck by Huang Minxing's words, which revealed his deepest thoughts. He glared at Long Yue with a livid expression, fearing that Long Yue might be provoked into killing him. He then angrily rebuked Huang Minxing.

"What? Did I step on your sore spot?"

Huang Minxing laughed, "Young man, if you don't dare to admit it, that's fine. I'm upright and honest, and I dare to take responsibility for my actions."

Zheng Zhong was terrified. His bodyguard was gone, and he didn't know where that terrifying man had taken him.

However, he knew that with his strength, let alone going home, even if he left Binnan District, the monsters outside would be able to tear him apart.

He can't die, he hasn't enjoyed himself enough yet! How can he just die like this?

Life is two hundred years long, and he is only twenty years old, only one-tenth of the way through life. No, he cannot die. He must live well and enjoy life.

Longyue watched them bickering like dogs, remaining silent and simply sitting there.

"Teacher, teacher's wife, please sit down and rest for a while."

"Don't worry, what Huang Minxing said has no effect on me at all. If it were when I was still a level 1 martial artist, I might have some reservations. But now, hehehe, he should be worrying about himself."

When Longyue said those words, the coldness in her voice sent chills down one's spine.

Looking at Longyue like this, Huang Guozhong couldn't help but sigh, "The child has really grown up."

It's his incompetence that drove such a good child to this state.

"Yueyue, you've suffered so much."

Wang Jing, who was always sentimental, teared up when she heard Longyue's words.

“Master’s wife, it’s not hard. As long as I can become stronger and protect my family, nothing is hard.”

Longyue smiled and shook her head. Compared to her initial reservedness, she seemed much more cheerful now.

Wang Jing liked this version of Longyue very much. At least Longyue respected and protected them, but she always felt that Yueyue had not completely opened her heart.

Therefore, she treated her well and regarded her as her own daughter.

Yueyue is so pitiful. She lost her parents when she was young, and she was always well-behaved, cute, obedient and sensible. How could anyone not feel even more sorry for her?
