Chapter Seventy: Robbery (shuhaige.net)

After the rabbit died, they threw it into a corner and didn't eat it. The rabbits in the Spirit Era were not the same as those a hundred years ago, whose meat was tender and succulent. The rabbit meat now had a gamey smell, and if not handled properly, it would be very unpalatable, almost indistinguishable from the taste of the nutrient solution.

It was Oborozuki's turn to keep watch. She wasn't originally needed, but Mark put her and Li Hei on the watch since they were all in the same team, and taking turns was the fairest thing to do.

I've done this before on the battlefield, so I'm quite adept at it now.

Through the broken eaves, the stars twinkled in the sky, completely different from the sky in another world. The sky in the demon realm is dreamlike and enchanting, the sky in the divine realm is ethereal and otherworldly, but here, it is a refreshing and otherworldly feeling.

Since coming into this world, everything she has experienced has been something she had never felt before. In fact, this feeling doesn't seem so bad.

As she pondered, a smile appeared on Longyue's face, but no one saw it in the darkness.

Suddenly, Longyue's expression turned cold, and her smile vanished quickly from her face.

Longyue yawned. Here comes the entertainment. It seems tonight won't be too boring.

The person who had already caught the rabbit was overjoyed. He put it into his personal computer space and was preparing to quietly retreat, his eyes filled with disdain as he thought to himself:

I thought they were some tough guys. Turns out they're just a bunch of pampered young masters and ladies. With such low vigilance, if a werewolf had walked in, they would have been wiped out.

Luckily, I only had my eye on your prey, which is why I let you go.

The newcomer had a mocking expression on his face, but the next second, his smile vanished.

"Hey, don't you know you should say thank you if you take someone else's things? Taking someone's things without their permission is stealing, you know?"

Suddenly, Oborozuki appeared behind the newcomer, speaking in a leisurely tone.

The newcomer's eyes flashed with shock; he hadn't expected to be discovered so suddenly, especially by a level six martial artist.

As Longyue's voice broke the silence of the night, the other martial artists who had been sleeping hurriedly woke up from their slumber.

"What's wrong? What's wrong?"

"A monster is coming?"

Longyue casually lit the extinguished fire on the ground, illuminating the figure of the newcomer—a strange man.

He had a square face, thick black eyebrows, but small eyes, and was quite short, only 1.6 meters tall, with short limbs, and looked somewhat sleazy.

His body was covered in black and white marks, his hair was disheveled, his face was covered in dust, and he looked like a martial artist who had been in the wilderness for some time.

Zhou Geng's face was still frozen in a mocking expression, but he didn't expect to be slapped in the face the next second.

He glared fiercely at Longyue, thinking it was all because of that wretched woman who ruined his plans.

A sharp dagger moved from the computer space into Zhou Geng's hand. He placed the dagger directly against Long Yue's neck and then said to the others, "Get out of my way!"

I was still a little sleepy, but I woke up instantly after seeing the scene clearly.

Li Heilian's face immediately turned cold: "Remove the knife from her body!"

Liang Yi was angry, radiating a low-pressure aura. Gone was his usual playful demeanor; he actually looked quite serious: "Let her go, you live; hurt her, and you die!"

Mark smiled, but the smile vanished after a fleeting moment to avoid arousing suspicion.

Now that Longyue is their senior sister, and the teachers are instructing the students to respect and love each other, he is pondering how to eliminate Longyue, this threat, after receiving the master's instructions before setting off.

To everyone's surprise, someone came to help that very night; it was truly a stroke of luck!

If he could attract everyone's attention, he would have liked to say "good."

Zhou Geng was surrounded, a short knife pressed against Long Yue's neck. His eyes narrowed, and the malice he exuded was so palpable that it was impossible to ignore. "Don't come any closer. If you get any closer, I'll kill her. I don't think you want her to get hurt, do you? Such a tender beauty. If she were mine, I would be heartbroken if anyone else hurt her even a little bit."

"Let her go!" Li Tiangen frowned, looking at Longyue with concern. Although they hadn't spent much time together, she was the junior sister the sect leader had entrusted to them, and they were on the same team, so he had a responsibility to protect her.

"Don't even think about sneaking up on us from behind. We're all level 10 martial artists, none of us are any worse than the others! I'm not saying this to criticize you guys, but your vigilance is really low. You actually dare to sleep so openly in the wilderness."

"Oh!"

Zhou Geng chuckled sinisterly a few times, "You should be glad that this is still the edge of the wilderness. I only looted without killing anyone. In the outer areas, it might not be so. You should thank me properly. I taught you such an important lesson. No need for thanks. Consider that rabbit a gift."

"How can someone be so shameless? You stole someone else's things and then made up some baseless excuses with righteous indignation?" Qian Duoduo's face was full of disgust, and she looked at Zhou Geng as if she had seen something dirty.

"Brother, you don't understand, do you? Someone like him must not have had a good life these past few years, otherwise he wouldn't have fallen to the point of stealing."

Qian Miaomiao leaned against her brother, grinning mischievously.

He wasn't too worried about Longyue's safety. Qian Miaomiao believed that he was quite good at judging people. Although his junior sister was young, she was very steady in her actions and much more reliable than his brother.

As she spoke, she also comforted her brother, saying, "Brother, don't worry. Junior Sister is reliable. She's more dependable than you."
