The two were lucky; their escape route led to a small pool of water, perfect for hiding from the bumblebees. Mao Hongtao jumped in without hesitation, while Chen Fang hesitated for a moment on the bank.
"What are you standing there for? Do you want to become Bumblebee food?" Mao Hongtao's head started to ache when he saw Chen Fang stop. "Get down here now!"
Chen Fang had never seen Mao Hongtao so angry before, and was stunned by Mao Hongtao's outburst.
Mao Hongtao gritted his teeth in anger. If Chen Fang were a man, he would have already started to deal with her.
He grabbed Chen Fang and pulled her down, not caring whether she was ready or not. He held her head down and pushed her into the water, submerging both of them.
Chen Fang: Mmm... Mmm...
He struggled incessantly with both hands, grabbing Mao Hongtao's hands and scratching his neck with nails that, though not sharp, were still able to leave marks.
When the bumblebee flew to the pond, it lost its target, circled the pond twice, and then retreated.
"Aha..."
Chen Fang suddenly leaped out of the water, gasping for fresh air. Just moments before, she had nearly suffocated, and the shadow of death still left her pale.
Mao Hongtao's face was so black it looked like ink could drip from it, and he got up from the pool without saying a word.
The three of them, including Oborozuki, had already taken care of Bumblebee.
As Oborozuki was dealing with the bumblebees she had taken down, a familiar chuckle, buried deep in her memory, rang out. But what followed was a sentence that made Oborozuki want to punch someone.
"Stop counting. Only the queen bee counts in the points; the others don't."
