Dear readers who have been following the story to this point, after nine months, the story of Chen Huai'an has finally come to an end today.
When I wrote the words "The End," those few dozen strokes represented a perfect conclusion to my nine months of hard work.
Um!
How to describe this feeling? It wasn't a sense of relief or ease, but rather a strange sense of loss.
As I typed out these 1.112 million words about Chen Huai'an, it seemed as if I was giving Chen Huai'an a legendary life. But from another perspective, wasn't it also Chen Huai'an who accompanied me through these long nine months, giving me endless spiritual motivation?
Now that this book is complete, let's talk about it!
To put it simply, as my friend Lao Yao put it, this book had a "flying start" but ultimately ended in a "shortcoming."
Perhaps, if this book had performed even better, it would have been enough for me to support my wife and children with the royalties from it;
I think the overall story structure of this book will be richer and more three-dimensional.
However, due to my extremely limited level of expertise, experience, and knowledge, this book, after its initial success, has plummeted to its current dismal state, making it difficult for me to even support myself.
Left with no other choice, I could only tell Chen Huai'an's story to this extent. I think ending it at this point is the best possible conclusion.
If I keep writing like this, I could probably still write hundreds of thousands, or even a million words?
However, it seems pointless now!
Perhaps, in the eyes of many readers, this open ending is not satisfactory, and there are still many plot holes left to be filled.
For example, did Chen Huai'an ultimately achieve immortality? After his conversation with the black-robed old monk Dongfang Xiao at Qixia Temple on Fengming Mountain, where did he go?
Also, where did this system come from? Can Chen Huai'an return to the plane he lives in? What interesting things will happen in the plane he lives in?
It even includes the fates of the characters in the book.
At least, many readers, including myself, left comments after learning that the book was about to end, saying that there were still many plot holes that hadn't been filled.
I plan to answer these questions one by one in a later "bonus chapter".
Some readers might say, since the story is already finished, why bother with side stories? Why not just explain everything in the main text?
Forehead--
Okay, actually, I have my own selfish reasons for leaving this "tail" and making a side story. Even though this book didn't do well, I didn't want to say goodbye to Chen Huai'an, the characters in the book, and all of you who have been following it all this time so soon.
I can't say goodbye!
Leaving behind an extra chapter is like leaving a possibility for us to meet again in the future, both with the characters in the book and with our friends outside the book.
When I have time, I will continue to tell the stories in the book.
Dear readers, when you have time, please click in and take a look; just consider it a bit of fun to pass the time.
Finally, let me briefly explain the story structure of the side story!
Firstly, it should reveal what Chen Huai'an did during the 24 years he spent in the Great Xin Dynasty, why he was so passive when the emperor ordered the confiscation of his property, and also reveal why his martial arts skills were so formidable and who he learned them from.
Secondly, the endings of the characters in the book will be given a satisfactory conclusion as much as possible;
Thirdly, will Chen Huai'an return to the world before his transmigration, and in what identity?
Forehead--
That's about all I can think of. If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to leave a message, and I'll arrange it as soon as I see it!
For any unresolved matters, we'll see you in the sequel!
