"Oh, those are all comrades who came to do volunteer work."
Ye Tian stared at him. "Has anything happened recently?"
"No, no," Ding Mao shook his head guiltily.
Ye Tian's smile faded. "Dean Ding!"
Ding Mao felt a chill run down his spine and told the truth: "Yesterday afternoon, Comrade Lin ran away."
"Why didn't you say so sooner?" Ye Tian grabbed Ding Mao by the collar, his face cold. "Where did she go? Who did she meet?"
Ding Mao's voice trembled, "She was nearby, we didn't encounter anyone, our people brought her back quickly, nothing happened, don't worry."
"Idiot!" Ye Tian abruptly released him. "She's been exposed!"
Those unfamiliar faces weren't volunteers; they were there to gather information.
Ding Mao broke out in a cold sweat. "Then, what should we do?"
"Fortunately, they haven't found her yet. Let's not do anything for now and avoid making things worse!"
If they had found her, she would have been taken away long ago and wouldn't still be lingering in the welfare home.
Ding Mao nodded. "Director Ye, should we move up our plans?"
Ye Tian closed his eyes briefly. "It seems we need to move it up."
Li Xiyue knocked on Ye Tian's office door. "Director Ye, I'm going to Jiangsu Province tomorrow to attend a friend's wedding. Could you grant me a few days off?"
"No problem." Ye Tian smiled gently and harmlessly, approved the leave slip, and said with a smile, "When we get back from Jiangsu Province, I'll take you to see her."
"Her?" Li Xiyue realized. "It's Third Sister-in-law, isn't it? What? Has the time come?"
Ye Tian nodded. "It's time to face it."
"Okay, I'll be back as soon as I finish the wedding."
Ye Tian watched her departing figure, the smile on his face slowly fading.
As night fell, Ye Tian entered an inconspicuous house.
A figure stood with his back to him in the shadows. "Are you really going to take action against the Chu family?"
Ye Tian's gaze was firm. "Yes."
"Can't we just stay put? The risk is really too great."
Ye Tian shook his head, "No, the Chu family is too powerful. If we don't take action against them, even if we succeed, we may not be able to get away smoothly."
"Okay, hopefully you won't forget what you promised me after it's all done."
"Don't worry, if I can get what I want, I will also make you get what you want."
After dinner, Li Xiyue tidied up the house while Liao Qingshan played with Xiaobai. The two of them had a great time.
"Grandpa, are you really not coming to Jiangsu Province with me? Don't you plan to go back to our hometown for a visit?"
"We don't even have a home anymore, what's the point of going?" Liao Qingshan shook his head. "Besides, you're going to your friend's wedding, what would it look like if I went with you?"
"Okay, then when you want to go back later, I'll go back with you to visit."

Li Xiyue nodded and patted Xiaobai's head. "While I'm away, don't go out at night. Stay with Grandpa, okay?"
"I know, Yueyue, I will definitely protect our grandfather."
As night deepened, Li Xiyue went next door again to deliver another shipment.
"Mr. Li seems preoccupied?" Lu Feng noticed that he was somewhat absent-minded.
Li Xiyue gazed at the night sky, her eyes dark and unsettling. "A storm is brewing."
Lu Feng looked up at the sky. Although the starlight was sparse, there were no clouds or wind, and it didn't look like it was going to rain.
However, she still went along with his words and said, "But I believe that after the storm, the sun will shine again."
Li Xiyue smiled, "Thank you for your kind words."
