Things happened so fast that even Li Xiyue was still thinking about whether to take everyone into the space to hide, Chu Xun had already reacted.
He rushed forward, pulled Xu Xiangyang aside, and knocked Ye Tian unconscious with a palm strike.
He then took out a dagger he was carrying, cut off the explosives strapped to Ye Tian's body, grabbed the explosives and threw them into the innermost part of the house, then grabbed Ye Tian's foot and rushed out the door, shouting, "Run!"
Ye Tian is the main person in charge of Japan in China, and he must know a lot about Japan's plans. He cannot die.
Chu Xun moved swiftly, finishing everything in just a few seconds. Everyone reacted to his shout and took off running.
Xu Xiangyang ran a few steps, then turned back to hold off Ye Tian with him, and sprinted away as fast as they could.
Just a few seconds after they ran, an explosion was heard from inside the house, followed by a violent shaking of the ground.
The violent tremors made it impossible to even take a step. Then, the shockwave of the explosion swept over everyone, sending them flying.
Li Xiyue didn't have time to think; almost instinctively, she flashed into the space immediately.
With the sound of an explosion, the entire house collapsed, leaving only ruins and rubble all around.
"Commander!" Chen Yu was thrown back by the blast, but he didn't faint. He shook his aching head, got up, rushed over to dig through the rubble, and found Chu Xun, who had already passed out. "Are you alright? Commander, wake up!"
Chu Xun slowly woke up and asked, "Where's Yueyue?"
Chen Yu looked around but couldn't find Li Xiyue. He shook his head and said, "I can't find my sister-in-law."
"Yueyue!" Chu Xun scrambled to his feet and stumbled off to find her.
Hearing Chu Xun's shout, Li Xiyue quickly came out of her spatial dimension, lay down in a ditch in the corner of the yard, and then weakly raised her hand, "I...I'm here..."
"Yueyue!" Chu Xun ran over, pulled her out of the ditch, and anxiously checked her over. "Where are you hurt?"
Li Xiyue shook her head. "I'm fine, A-Xun. How about you? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine too." Chu Xun hugged her tightly, feeling a wave of fear wash over him. "I'm sorry, I failed to protect you."
Li Xiyue comforted him, "You've done very well, A-Xun. We're all alright, aren't we?"
The others gradually regained consciousness, some of whom sustained minor injuries, but there were no casualties.
Xu Xiangyang went to check on Ye Tian and found that he was only slightly injured and still alive, which relieved him.
He looked at the two people embracing in the distance, and the corners of his mouth slowly turned up.
Leaving Chen Yu and Xiao Wu to handle the aftermath, Chu Xun took Li Xiyue back to the Chu family.
"Yueyue!" Liao Qingshan rushed over, grabbed Li Xiyue, and looked her up and down, left and right. "You're back? Are you alright?"
"Unharmed." Li Xiyue said with a smile, "Grandpa, don't worry."
Seeing the little white cat wagging its tail wildly, Li Xiyue squatted down and patted its head. "Little white cat, thank you for protecting Grandpa."
"You're welcome, Yueyue. You're finally back. I missed you so much." Xiaobai licked her hand.
"I miss you as well."
Liao Qingshan was relieved. "It's good that you're alright. You have no idea how worried I was about you these past few days." He then looked at Chu Xun beside him and said, "It's all that old ox's fault for putting you in such danger."
"It was my fault." Chu Xun obediently admitted his mistake. "Grandpa Liao can hit me or scold me as he pleases."
Liao Qingshan snorted, "My granddaughter would feel bad if I hit you or scolded you, so I'll punish you by making you treat my Yueyue well for the rest of your life. Can you do that?"
Chu Xun was stunned for a moment, then overjoyed, "Grandpa Liao, I will definitely do it!"
Li Xiyue smiled happily, "Thank you, Grandpa."
"You silly boy, aren't you going to thank Old Liao?" Chu Xingbang said with a smile as he walked over.
