The train station was bustling with activity, and pedestrians hurried to and fro.
A three-year-old sick boy came to another province with his mother for medical treatment and then took the train home.
The train arrived, and the mother turned to get her luggage. The little boy noticed a windmill lying nearby and ran over to pick it up. Just as he picked it up, someone covered his mouth and carried him away.
He tried to scream, but no sound came out; he tried to struggle, but he couldn't break free. Suddenly, he felt so sleepy that he couldn't open his eyes, and he fell asleep instantly.
"Damn it, he's a sickly guy, what bad luck!"
"Just leave him here. Nobody wants to buy a sick kid like him."
He was awakened by the sound of voices. He opened his eyes and found himself lying in ruins in an unfamiliar place. There was no one around, only a few wild cats staring at him with their tails raised and meowing.
Fear, helplessness, and anxiety overwhelmed the little boy.
"Mom, where are you?"
No one responded to him.
He got up from the ground and looked around, "Mom, where are you? I'm scared, come out quickly, stop playing hide-and-seek."
He searched and called out for a long time until he had no strength left and could no longer speak. As darkness fell, he huddled in a corner in fear and finally collapsed to the ground, powerless.
He didn't know how much time had passed when he woke up again and found himself being held by a young and pretty woman, swaying back and forth, just like the feeling he used to have when he was sitting in a car.
He opened his mouth to speak, but his throat hurt so much that he cried.
"Child, you're awake?" The pretty aunt spoke gently to him, wiping away his tears with a fragrant handkerchief. He felt as if she were his mother.
He missed his mother even more, and cried even harder.
“Child, don’t be afraid. Your parents don’t want you anymore, but we do. We’ll take you home and get you medical treatment. From now on, I’ll be your mother and he’ll be your father.”
A young man came over and said, "Even if it means going bankrupt, we will get you cured. We will never abandon you."
He didn't understand what it meant, but he felt at ease. He cried until he was exhausted and fell asleep again.
When he woke up again, he was in a clean and tidy room. The pretty auntie appeared again and brought him fragrant porridge and a big chicken leg.
He was so hungry that he almost instinctively opened his mouth to take the porridge that the aunt handed him.
"Eat slowly, don't choke." The aunt smiled as she wiped his mouth, her eyes full of tenderness.
He thought the aunt was very nice and liked her.
Next, he stayed at his aunt's house. His aunt and uncle treated him very well, taking him to various hospitals for medical treatment, buying him new clothes and delicious food, and reading to him every night before he went to sleep.
My aunt and uncle have lots and lots of books. They read every day, and gradually, he also started to like reading.
His uncle and aunt also gave him a name, Lu Feng.
They found him in the spring, when a gentle breeze was blowing.
They hoped he could be as gentle as a spring breeze, as free as the wind, and be a warm person.
The days spent with my uncle and aunt were peaceful and happy.
I don't know how much time passed, but his aunt and uncle said he was five years old. On his birthday, they took him out to buy a birthday present.
On his way back, he heard a baby crying. He ran over and saw a tiny child lying on the ground, wailing loudly. He picked her up and showed her to his uncle and aunt.
The aunt said it was a little girl, perhaps abandoned by her family like him.
He asked the aunt what abandonment meant.
The aunt said it meant that the parents didn't want their child and abandoned them.
But he knew that his parents didn't abandon him; he had just gotten lost from his mother and couldn't find his way home.
