Chapter 333 A Lively New Year (1/2)

Two days later was New Year's Eve, and the entire Chu family gathered at the old house.

The men were all busy cooking in the kitchen, while the women sat in the living room with the old man, watching TV, chatting, and eating snacks.

The children chased each other, laughing and playing.

The room was bustling with activity.

The New Year's Eve dinner is ready. The whole family sits around the table, surrounded by the aroma of food and drink, laughter, and lively, warm atmosphere.

Lu Feng exclaimed, "This is the first time in all these years that the Spring Festival has been so lively."

“It will be just as lively every year from now on,” Chu Zhou said, patting his younger brother on the shoulder.

Lu Feng nodded with a smile.

The two brothers looked at each other and smiled.

Chu Zhou felt comfortable and at ease being with Lu Feng.

Although Ye Tian had a good personality, I always felt like my heart was floating in mid-air when I was with him, and I could never settle down.

"Xiao Feng, you're not getting any younger. Hurry up and find a wife. Our family will be even more lively then," Chu Xingbang said with a smile.

Lu Feng pictured Zhuang Le's mischievous and lively face in his mind. After a moment's thought, he replied, "Okay, Grandpa."

Li Xiyue glanced at him, smiled, and drank a glass of wine.

"Is this wine good?" Chu Xun asked in a low voice from the side.

Li Xiyue hadn't noticed this, and after a moment's thought, she said, "It's alright."

"I've left a jar of fruit wine, would you like some?" Chu Xun asked with a smile.

Li Xiyue was delighted, "Is there more?"

She thought the ten jars of wine that Huang Xinrui gave her would all be drunk on her wedding day.

"I secretly saved a jar for you." Chu Xun got up, took it out, and poured it for her.

Li Xiyue took a sip and smiled with satisfaction. "Xinrui's cooking is still the best."

"If you like, we'll ask her to brew more," Chu Xun said affectionately, looking at her rosy cheeks.

Li Xiyue smiled and nodded: "Okay."

"What are you secretly drinking? Pour me a glass." Xie Mingying handed me a glass.

Li Xiyue poured her a glass and said, "It's the fruit wine my friend gave me on my wedding day."

"This wine is really delicious. Does she have any more? I'd like to buy a few jars to take back for my grandfather." Xie Mingying took a sip and nodded in satisfaction.

"I'll ask her in a couple of days." Li Xiyue thought for a moment and then asked Chu Xun to pour everyone a glass.

Chu Xun understood her intention, but he only poured a small half cup for each person, leaving the rest for his wife.

Everyone who drank it said it was good, and Li Xiyue had an idea.

Chu Ruilin looked at his son, then at his daughter, and then at his entire family. The shackles that had weighed on his heart for decades were finally lifted.

Yuwei, don't worry, this time I will definitely take good care of my children and never let them get hurt again.

After having their New Year's Eve dinner, the family took another group photo and then went out to set off fireworks.

Fireworks exploded in the sky, displaying a dazzling array of colors.

The children laughed and cheered, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

After having a late-night snack, the elders started giving red envelopes to the younger generation.

Chu Ruilin also received a red envelope, given by his elderly father and his elder brother and sister-in-law.
