Chapter 49 Throwing Him into the Mountains to Feed the Wolves (1/2)

Back at his sixth uncle's house, Xu Guoqing immediately told his grandfather everything that had happened on the way.

Uncle Xu cursed, "These gossipy women are all too idle, always stirring up trouble. Girl, don't take it to heart."

"Grandpa Xu, I didn't take it to heart." Li Xiyue was the kind of person who would settle scores on the spot, and she would only make others angry, never herself.

Liu Hongshao was unwilling to give up. She glared at Li Xiyue and said, "Sixth Grandfather, Li Zhiqing was also at fault in this matter. How could she let the dog bite people?"

Little White barked twice in rebuttal, "I didn't bite a person, I bit an animal."

Li Xiyue gave it a thumbs up.

"Sweetie girl? It's almost lunchtime, aren't you going back to your uncle's house?" Uncle Xu said with a stern face.

This girl can't distinguish right from wrong; she's not a good person, and he doesn't like her at all.

Liu Hongshao knew he was angry, so she didn't dare say anything more. She glared at Li Xiyue, then gave Xu Xiangyang a resentful look before reluctantly leaving.

After she left, the air in the courtyard became much fresher.

Xu Guoqing breathed a sigh of relief, "She's finally gone. I really miss the days when she wasn't here."

"Xiangyang, come in, I have something to say to you." Uncle Xu looked at Xu Xiangyang, who was taking out the herbs.

Xu Xiangyang hesitated for a moment, then followed him inside.

"Grandpa Xu, I'm going back for dinner now," Li Xiyue said.

Uncle Xu smiled and agreed, but when he looked at Xu Xiangyang, his face fell.

Li Xiyue turned and walked out of the courtyard. She vaguely heard Uncle Xu Liu saying something like, "It's better to end it sooner rather than later. Everyone can't stand her. She's not a good person." She guessed that Uncle Xu Liu also couldn't stand Xu Hongshao and wanted Xu Xiangyang to get rid of her as soon as possible.

Li Xiyue also hoped that Xu Xiangyang could get rid of the person soon. She was afraid that she wouldn't be able to tolerate such a spoiled brat every day.

Back at the educated youth settlement, Wang Jiaxing and Zhao Guohua had already prepared the meal. When Huang Xinrui saw her return, she pulled her into the kitchen to eat.

"Yueyue, I heard a lot of gossip about you at work today. What's going on?" Huang Xinrui asked during lunch.

Li Xiyue explained the situation, "Uncle Dashan and I really didn't want to wait for her, but I didn't say anything."

"How could Wang Cuihua ruin your reputation like this?" Huang Xinrui was furious. "I have to go find her!"

Li Xiyue pulled her back, "Xiaobai chased her for two miles and even bit her butt. She's probably lying at home now and can't cause any trouble for the time being."

"Good job, Xiaobai! Here, have a piece of meat." Huang Xinrui said happily, generously giving Xiaobai a piece of meat.

Little White gently bit the meat, then lay on the ground and happily got up.

Huang Xinrui's heart softened when she saw that Xiaobai was afraid of biting her hand. "Our Xiaobai is so well-behaved, it's not a mad dog."

"That's right, Xiaobai is a lovable dog." Wang Jiaxing rubbed its head.

Little White barked proudly twice, "People still have good taste."

"Li Xiyue, you should tone it down a bit. It won't do you any good to ruin your reputation," Zhao Guohua suddenly said.

"None of your business!" Li Xiyue rolled her eyes at him. "I think you're like Wu Dalang, who drank his medicine and wanted a refill. You're courting death by meddling in my affairs!"

Zhao Guohua shrank back and muttered under his breath, "I'm doing this for your own good, why don't you appreciate it?"

"Stop talking." Wang Jiaxing pulled Zhao Guohua aside. Has this kid taken the wrong medicine lately? Why is he always hanging around Li Xiyue?

Zhao Guohua glanced at Li Xiyue furtively, then pretended to be a coward and dared not utter another sound.

After lunch and a short nap, the four of them went to work.

When Li Xiyue arrived at Uncle Xu's house and didn't see Liu Hongshao, she breathed a sigh of relief.
