Chapter 4
**
Come to think of it, Brother Liu and I haven’t completely disappeared from each other’s lives in the past ten years.
After graduating from junior high school, we went to different high schools in our district. During that time, we saved each other's contact information and even kept in close contact for a short period of time in our second year of high school. Later, when we went to college, I was admitted to Shanghai University and he was admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China in Anhui. WeChat had just been released when I was a freshman, and he was one of my earliest WeChat friends.
I still remember when I first started writing books on Jinjiang during my freshman year. Back then, I didn't quite understand the difference between my pen name and my real identity. I even posted my serialization address on QQ and asked my classmates and friends to come and support me. As a result, Brother Liu even messaged me privately, saying that my novel was quite well-written. Now when I mention this to him, he really doesn't remember it at all.
Perhaps girls are really more delicate when it comes to feelings, especially first love, which means a lot to girls. So, over the years, I seem to have never completely forgotten anything related to Brother 6.
Before last year, the last time we met was the year we graduated from high school.
At that time, my cousin's husband opened a beverage store, and I went to work to help during the summer vacation. Many friends came to see me and support me. Brother 6 and another junior high school classmate of mine also came to the store to buy drinks and chat with me. At that time, he really looked like a young boy, wearing a basketball jersey, running in with steaming body, and bright sunshine behind him.
Then, there was no news for six years.
Our relationship remains at the level of liking each other's posts on WeChat Moments, and we each have our own life trajectory. It seems that perhaps we will always be first love and ordinary junior high school classmates in this life, and there will be no more intersections. After all, real life is different from novels. I have written so many novels, and I have never expected that my feelings will be like in novels.
However, one thing is undeniable, whenever someone asks me what type of boy I like best, I will answer that it is a boy with fair skin, tall and thin, big eyes, and dimples when he smiles beautifully. In fact, this is exactly what he looks like.
Yes, as my first love, Brother 6 has always been my ideal type.
Time jumps to last year, 2017.
At that time, Brother Liu was studying for a master's degree in the UK. One day in June last year, we had a private chat on WeChat Moments because we were interested in the same topic. After that, we kept in touch intermittently, exchanging trivial daily news. I knew that he would officially return to China to work in September last year, so we also made an appointment to meet and reminisce after he returned.
During that period of time, I had never thought about developing a romantic relationship with him. I really just treated him as an ordinary old classmate. Moreover, after not seeing him for so many years, he might no longer be the type of person I liked, so I didn't take this matter too seriously.
Some time after he returned home, we made an appointment to go to the movies and have dinner together.
When we first met, I got out of the elevator and saw him standing alone by a pillar waiting for me from afar. I vaguely remember that he was wearing a black T-shirt and ripped jeans, and was looking down at his phone. Only when I approached him did he look up at me.
When our eyes met, I was a little surprised. He had hardly changed since he was young. He was still the person I liked.
I was actually still a little nervous and shy, so I smiled and said, "Hello."
He also smiled, "Hello, let's go get the movie tickets."
The amazing thing is that the communication throughout the process was extremely natural and there was no awkwardness or awkwardness at all.
After watching the movie, we went to a barbecue restaurant near my house. Because there were many people lining up, we played Gobang for a while while waiting.
During dinner, we talked about work, and he also talked to me about his study and life in the UK. During the conversation, he took good care of me, gave me priority after baking the food, and gave me all the food I liked. We had a very pleasant chat. After dinner, we bought milk tea, and then he walked me home.
When we were almost at the traffic light near my house, he suddenly turned around and said to me, "I remember this place. I used to pass by here when I took you home from school."
I was stunned and nodded.
He looked at me and said, "Nothing has really changed here."
I felt a stir in my heart, but didn't say anything.
On Thursday of the following week, we made an appointment to have hotpot together in the evening.
Looking back, that day should be the beginning of everything after the fire was ignited.
The restaurant was very close to where I worked. I arrived first and sat down waiting for him. About half an hour later, I saw a tall, handsome guy wearing a blue shirt, black pants, and glasses coming in from the door. He looked around as if he was looking for someone, and then I looked closely and saw that it was Brother 6.
I waved to him and he came over and sat down opposite me.
As a face lover, I have to emphasize that he was so handsome that day, even more handsome than last time. I was instantly attracted to him from the moment I saw him. After all, he is my ideal type, and he was dressed in the way I like most. His lethality reached the maximum level. Even now, I have been telling him that he was really the campus hunk that day. After we fell in love, he dressed like that several times, but I didn’t seem to feel as strong as that day, and even expressed disgust towards him. Brother 6 felt very hurt QAQ.
Anyway, my heart started beating a little faster as soon as the meal started and it lasted until the end.
After dinner, Brother 6 looked at the time and said to me, "It's still early, where should we go for a walk?"
I said "OK".
He took the bag from my hand and said, "Let me help you carry it, or we can walk from here to the Bund and take a walk."
So we walked slowly from where we had dinner to the Bund.
The weather that day was neither cold nor hot, just the right temperature. We chatted casually about all kinds of things. When we reached the traffic light, he looked at me, suddenly moved closer, raised his hand and touched my hair.
The distance between us was a little close, and his eyes were a little focused.
At that moment, I looked at him and felt my heart beating very fast.
"Your hair is very soft," he said softly, "it looks good with long hair."
I didn't say anything and my face turned a little red, but because it was night, it was the best cover.
After taking two more steps, he said, "Shall I buy you a Starbucks?"
I nodded, and he suddenly smiled slyly, "Forget it, don't drink at night, it will make you fat."
I feigned anger, "Wow, I was thinking about a frappuccino."
He stopped and said gently, "For the sake of your health, you really can't drink too many beverages at night. You drank milk tea last time, and you didn't sleep well."
After strolling around the Bund, we walked towards my home.
We talked about marriage, and he said, "Most of my colleagues are married and have children, but for me, marriage still seems like a distant dream."
I looked at him, "How old are you?"
He tilted his head. "30?"
I hummed, "If you say that, it probably means you haven't met someone you really like, right?"
He turned around and looked at me. "That makes sense. Maybe it's not that far away."
Later, I mentioned what he said to me, and laughed at him for being a late marriage advocate. He said, "But it's because I met you. After meeting you, I don't want to wait until I'm 30."
When we got downstairs to my house, he handed the bag back to me and said, "Go up quickly. Good night."
I said, "Okay."
Then he watched me leave and took the subway home.
When I got home, he sent me a WeChat message: "Your bag is too heavy. Do you carry a bomb to work every day?"
My bag was actually filled with new clothes that day, so it was extra heavy. But I didn't explain and just said, "Why? Are your hands hurting from carrying all that?"
He replied: [I’ll carry it next time.]
Oh~ Looks like we’ll meet next time.
