120. Chapter 120 Toruvel's Room

When Wayne accepted Francesca's invitation and went to the camp to look for Geralt, he found that the famous White Wolf was surrounded by a group of young non-human races with a happy smile on his face.

Opposite him, the big-nosed dwarf Horton was handing over his purse reluctantly, looking very frustrated.

Apparently, Geralt's year of honing his Gwent skills in the northern kingdoms, as well as some rare Gwent cards that he shamelessly asked for from Wayne, helped him to redeem himself and win over his first Gwent mentor, the dwarf Horton.

The Gwent fans around also cheered for Geralt's victory because of the wonderful duel between the two.

Looking at the lively atmosphere over there, Wayne thought about it and decided not to force his way in.

Instead of dealing with these strange elves and dwarves, it would be more pleasant to go back to Toruvir and get along with this beautiful elf.

His personality is actually not that extroverted. Although he cannot be said to be socially anxious, he still prefers to deal with people he knows.

It was the same when he was in Vizima City. If the commission was not introduced by an acquaintance or the person he liked, he would not accept it at all.

It was almost evening. When Toruveil was found again, she was in her room, reading a book by the light of a kerosene lamp.

Seeing Wayne coming back, the female elf was a little surprised. She put down her books, brought a stool for Wayne, poured him a cup of tea full of floral fragrance, and asked:

"Anything else you want to talk to me about, Wayne?"

Wayne sat down on the chair, scratched his face, and said awkwardly: "There are too many new people in the camp, and I don't know them. Only when I stay with you do I feel a little more comfortable."

Toruviel was stunned when she heard this, wondering if she had misunderstood Wayne's meaning. A slightly shy smile appeared on her usually serious face.

She picked up a metal hip flask from her bedside table and said to Wayne:

"Would you like to try my secret cider again? This is made from apples picked from the Hundred Flowers Valley. It tastes even better than last time."

"Actually, after talking to you half a year ago, I thought a lot about it. I also have a lot of ideas in my mind, so I want to talk to you again."

Wayne felt that there was always something seductive in Toruveille's eyes when she spoke. He was no longer a rookie and understood what this meant. After thinking for a few seconds, he did not refuse.

She looks slender, but she is like a female leopard, an elf full of feminine charm, and no man can resist her.

He took out his magic wine flask, shook it towards Toruvir, and said:

"I also have some fine wines from Toussaint. We can drink them slowly and chat slowly."

"It just so happens that we still have a lot of time tonight. If you feel bored, I can teach you some Gwent skills."

Toruvel chuckled upon hearing that and took off her fur coat, revealing her fair skin and a white silk shirt underneath.

She picked up her own wine flask and poured Wayne a glass of secret cider, then picked up Wayne's magic wine flask and poured her own glass of fragrant red wine.

With a blush on her face, she said:

"I'm just a novice, you have to teach me well."

At noon the next day, when Wayne came out of Toruvel's room, the female elf was still sleeping soundly.

He no longer wore the heavy demon hunter armor, but changed into a light and handsome satin suit.

On his way to find Geralt, Wayne clearly noticed that the attitude of the people in the camp towards him had changed a lot. Most people seemed to be closer to him and would actively smile when they met him, while some young elves showed obvious hostility towards him.

When he found Geralt, the famous White Wolf was holding a few smooth branches with mushrooms of different sizes, colors and patterns strung on them. He put the mushrooms on the flame and roasted them until they sizzled. An enticing aroma gradually emanated from the mushrooms.

This is roasted poisonous mushrooms, a dish that Geralt is best at, and it is also a dish unique to witchers. As witchers with maximum poison resistance, those mushrooms in the forest that are delicious but contain various toxins are a very delicious ingredient for them.

It doesn’t even need any seasoning. Just skewer them and roast them over a fire, or brush them with some honey, and it will become a delicious delicacy.

Seeing Wayne coming to his side, Geralt whistled lightly, then handed over a bunch of roasted poisonous mushrooms and said jokingly, "You must be exhausted last night. I could hear your voices even when I was sleeping in the tent. Eat some mushrooms to replenish your energy."

Wayne took the mushroom and took a bite without hesitation. The delicious juice mixed with the tender mushroom meat gave off a wonderful taste that was endless aftertaste without any seasoning.

He rolled his eyes, knowing that Geralt was teasing him. Although the female elf had a lot of fun last night, she seemed to be very concerned about the impact and had been trying hard not to make any noise, which further increased her physical exhaustion. She fell asleep before dawn, so no one would hear the noises at all.

Wayne was not to be outdone and asked Geralt jokingly:

"Where's that elf widow you slept with last time? Didn't you two get together this time?"

Hearing this, Geralt shook his head with regret and said:

"No, I saw that she seemed to have found a new partner, so I didn't disturb her. And you didn't tell me where the sleeping tent was, so I sat by the fire all night."

When Wayne heard this, he felt a little embarrassed. When he went to find the female elf last night, he didn't expect to stay there, so he forgot about it.

Geralt didn't care about it. As a veteran witcher, he had experienced sitting by the fire for a whole night and even sleeping in a sewer full of filth.

He picked up another bunch of roasted poisonous mushrooms, picked the largest one and took a bite, then asked vaguely, "Have you dealt with your affairs? When will we set off again?"

"It better be quick. I feel like it will snow in about half a month."

Wayne thought about it and did not mention that he was going to see the elven sorceress. Instead, he simply said:

"We should be staying for another day or two. You can use this time to buy some drinks and food in the nearby city. Once I finish my business, we will set off immediately and return to Kaer Morhen."

Hearing this, Geralt patted Wayne on the shoulder and said:

"Although you may understand many things better than I do, I still want to warn you, Wayne, not to get involved in the struggle for power. That would be too dangerous for us demon hunters who have no backing."

Wayne nodded. Although he understood the thoughts of Geralt, Vesemir and other demon hunters, with his personality, he preferred to take the initiative and keep the right of choice on his side, rather than leaving it to fate and waiting for crisis or disaster to come.

In the afternoon, Geralt rode his mount Carrot to a nearby human city to buy ingredients that could be preserved for a long time.

After all, the people of the Wolf School will have to live in the castle for one or two months. If the supplies are not abundant, it will not affect their survival, but their lives will definitely be quite hard.

In the evening, Toruveil found him again. After a night of love last night, although the elf girl did not act too intimate with him, Wayne could feel that the elf girl trusted him more and seemed to have completely regarded him as her own.

She walked over to Wayne, took his hand, and led him to a room guarded by fully armed elf warriors a hundred meters away from the camp. After sending those elf warriors away, she said softly, "There is a teleportation array in this room. I will go in with you later. When the teleportation array is activated, it will teleport us to the Hundred Flower Valley a few hundred kilometers away. Ms. Francesca is waiting for us there."

"This respectable lady has prepared a dinner especially for you. She is very interested in your insights and wants to have a good chat with you."
