Chapter 241: Identity Revealed and Princess of the Valley

After hearing Wayne's request, the Elf King Elrond was very generous and said that he could open some books to Wayne for borrowing.

However, when he spoke later, Elrond's tone unconsciously showed an imperceptible smile, and he said:

"Mr. Wayne, I need to remind you that all our books are written in Sindarin. Ordinary foreigners cannot recognize our language."

"However, if you have such patience, I can arrange for a tribesman to teach you Sindarin during this period."

"As for whether you can learn this language before leaving, it depends on your understanding."

Wayne patted his head when he heard this. Because he had been able to communicate normally with the Sindar elves, dwarves and hobbits before, he had forgotten about this matter.

In Middle-earth, each race has its own language and writing. Although there is a common language that can be used by all races for spoken communication, allowing different races to communicate with each other, in terms of writing, painting, compiling books, and various customs and beliefs, everyone has their own writing and habits.

After all, for most races, they usually only communicate internally and rarely have too close contacts with other races.

Wayne shook his head and said helplessly:

"Then please trouble His Majesty Elrond to appoint a tribesman to teach me Sindarin. It would be a good gain to learn the language of the elves during this journey."

"Perhaps in the future, I will often have to work with the elves to fight against the minions of the dark forces. Learning Sindarin will be helpful for me to communicate with everyone."

As he said this, Wayne suddenly thought of the beautiful elf girl who served as his guide today.

Although the girl was not dressed up, her figure, appearance, words and actions always revealed a particularly peaceful temperament, which made people feel very comfortable.

There was not much racial barrier between the two during their conversation, and they had a good understanding, so he said casually: "Why not trouble the lady who is my guide today to teach me the Sindarin language."

Unexpectedly, after hearing what Wayne said, Elrond, who had always maintained a gentle temperament, changed his expression, and then looked at Wayne with a slightly vigilant look and said:

"Mr. Wayne, that's my daughter, Alwen Udomir. Even as a guest, you shouldn't make such unreasonable requests."

Hearing the Elf King's slightly angry voice, Wayne was slightly stunned. He really didn't know the other party's identity. He didn't expect that the beautiful elf girl was actually the daughter of King Elrond. So he said apologetically:

"My apologies, Lord Elrond. Please forgive my rudeness. I was not aware of this."

After hearing Wayne's apology, Elrond's anger eased a little. After looking at him seriously for a few times, he regained his former kingly demeanor and said, "It's okay. Ignorance is not a crime. I forgive your rudeness, Mr. Wayne."

While the two were talking, Gandalf suddenly said, "Wayne, actually I noticed when we first met that there seemed to be some magic on your face, but at the beginning, we were not familiar with it."

"Now, can you tell us what the reason is?"

I didn't expect that my disguise magic would be seen through by Gandalf, even though it was not a very sophisticated disguise.

Wayne was silent for a few seconds, then slowly took off the contact lenses on his face, revealing his amber vertical pupils and quite conspicuous elven pointed ears.

After the three of them looked at each other for a few seconds, he shrugged and said to Gandalf and Elrond, who were looking surprised:

"Actually, I am also a half-elf, but my origins are a bit complicated. In order not to cause unnecessary trouble, I simply hide my identity and live as a human adventurer."

As the favorites of the God of Creation in Middle-earth, the elves are obviously more trustworthy than dwarves, humans or other races in the eyes of the wizard and the Elf King. Wayne, whose origins were mysterious, was actually a half-elf. Now in their eyes, this human adventurer immediately became a fellow racer who needed to be won over.

In Middle-earth, no matter which tribe of elves, they all have the problem of long lifespan and difficulty in reproduction. Every member of the tribe is very precious, and they must try their best to ensure the reduction of various accidents, fights, and unnecessary casualties. This is one of the reasons why they have always lived in seclusion and rarely communicated with outsiders.

Now because of the change in identity, Elrond, the Elf King who was also born half-elf, will definitely make different judgments and choices about Wayne.

The next day, to Wayne's surprise, Elrond actually did as he wished and asked his daughter, Arwen, Princess of Rivendell, to teach him Sindarin.

This beautiful elf girl is just as warm and welcoming as when we first met, and speaks sweetly. Her big, watery eyes always reveal a little white rabbit-like purity, intentionally or unintentionally.

As an elf princess who has lived for more than two thousand years, this girl has been so well protected that she is full of curiosity about adventurous life. While being kind-hearted, she also retains a little rebelliousness in her heart and a yearning for life outside.

Although Wayne was an old pervert, he couldn't bear to make a move on such a pure girl. He did not pursue the Princess of Rivendell, nor did he want to provoke the hostility of King Elrond.

However, it was always a joy to be with a beautiful girl. While learning the language of happiness, he would occasionally tell her stories about what he encountered while on missions in the wizarding world, and about what he saw and heard when he was with his friends. These stories from the outside world made the princess listen with great interest.

While teaching Wayne, Arwen would bring him some Sindarin delicacies and fine wines that she had cooked as a reward for him, and Wayne would also use his most common and effective method to deal with girls.

Those are the world's most delicious cakes and snacks secretly made by Mr. Wayne, as well as the ice cream he made using ice magic.

In any world, of any race, no woman can resist these sweets, these various, novel and delicious desserts.

Sweets have always been a luxury in the Middle Ages. Wayne's secret dessert made Arwen smile like a flower, and perfectly displayed the purity and beauty of the elf girl in front of Wayne.

Time flies and three days have passed.

During this period, Thorin and his fellow dwarves rested well in Rivendell, relieving their fatigue and hardship along the way.

This time, because Wayne was guarding them throughout the journey, their mounts were not lost, and they traveled several days faster than in the original drama. The rest of the journey was not too tight because they had the mounts.

As in the book, Elrond helped Thorin decipher the secret words in the moonlight script left on the map by the previous King under the Mountain.

However, this time, because of the prestigious Wayne who mediated the relationship between the dwarves and the elves, the two sides did not have conflicts like in the original book, and they got along quite well.

And Wayne's progress in Sindarin was quite good. Perhaps it was because Elrond once revealed to the Princess of Rivendell that Wayne was a half-elf, the elven girl showed considerable trust in him. She took him to the library of Rivendell without any precautions, and even kindly helped him translate some historical knowledge he wanted to know. This also allowed Wayne to take the opportunity to use the magic book to replicate some basic knowledge of the Sindarin elves, so that he could slowly learn it in his future journey.

And one night unbeknownst to Wayne and the expedition team, the grey-robed wizard Gandalf, the brown-robed wizard Radagast, the white-robed wizard Saruman, three wizards, as well as the Elf King Elrond and the Elf Queen Galadriel.

These five people, who are almost the most powerful people in the light camp, held a mysterious meeting to discuss the current situation, the changes in Dol Guldur, and the mysterious half-elf Wayne who had just appeared before them.

When Gandalf told everyone present everything he had seen and heard about Wayne along the way, these people had different opinions about Wayne.

They also expressed different opinions on Wayne's bold request to kill the evil dragon Smaug in the north.
