Chapter 44 Wild Dog Gang

After getting the information he wanted, Wayne didn't stay in the tavern for long.

He waved his hand and called the boy named Alex. With a flick of his thumb, a golden Oren flew into the boy's hand.

Wayne gave the young man a friendly smile, then said to Old York:

"Keep an eye on him for now. I'm going to go take care of the Wild Dog Gang first, retrieve my mount, and then come back to see you."

Hearing Wayne's words, Old York frowned and said in an impatient voice, "Why don't you listen to my advice? Even though a horse is worth a lot of money, it's not worth risking your life for!"

Wayne chuckled, thinking that today's mission had not been completed, and said to Old York: "Old York, since the guys in the Wild Dog Gang are a bunch of damn bastards."

"I'll help you eliminate them, and you can reward me with the best wine in your store, how about that?"

Old York was immediately enraged and cursed loudly:

"You bastard boy, you don't know what's good for you. I'm trying to persuade you with good intentions, but you're still so stubborn."

"Okay, if you want to die, no one can persuade you. If you can get rid of the Wild Dog Gang, from now on, you can drink as much wine as you want in my store."

"I just hope you demon hunters are as powerful as the stories say."

Mission detected, [Eliminate the Wild Dog Gang], expert level.

Do you want to receive it?

Wayne didn't care about Old York's bad tone and happily accepted the expert-level task that had just been triggered.

Then he waved goodbye to Old York and let go of all his keen senses, searching the air for the scent of his mount Lucifer.

This mount has been with him for several months, and Wayne is very familiar with its smell. Combined with the herbs he collected, the mixed smell is quite obvious.

He searched and chased all the way, and soon walked out of the slums of old Vizima and came to the main road connecting various areas.

However, what surprised him was that the direction indicated by the smell did not lead to the crowded places in the city, but led directly outside the city along the road.

Seeing this situation, Wayne was even more delighted. He was just thinking that if these Wild Dog Gang members were in the city, it would be difficult for him to take action. After all, this was the capital of Temeria. If there were large-scale casualties, it would definitely attract the attention of the city guards, and they might even be expelled from the city.

Now it seems that the Wild Dog Gang is most likely located outside the city.

In places like outside the city where the law has no jurisdiction, whoever has the bigger fist has the final say.

With this thought in mind, Wayne quickened his pace. It was just noon now, and if he delayed too long, it might affect what he had to do in the afternoon.

It's not worth it for some hooligans.

Soon, Wayne followed the scent out of the old city of Vizima, but because the degree of his mutation was not obvious, the guards guarding the city gates only thought he was a mercenary looking for work in the city, and did not recognize his identity as a demon hunter, and ignored him.

After walking out of the city gate, Wayne chased for about seven or eight miles and followed the smell to a seemingly abandoned farm. Finally, he saw two men dressed strangely, wearing cotton clothes and with tattoos on their bodies, leading his mount Lucifer into the farm's stable.

Near the farm gate, there were four men dressed similarly, leaning against the wooden wall of the farm, holding simple weapons such as sticks, axes or daggers in their hands, chatting or napping out of boredom.

These are obviously well-trained fighting dogs that can help their masters fight.

However, Wayne is not an ordinary person, and the vicious dogs are not much stronger than water ghosts in front of him. Since the mission is to eliminate the Wild Dog Gang, he is too lazy to talk nonsense with these dying people.

While the four people and four vicious dogs at the door didn't notice his approach, Wayne took out a demon dust bomb from his bag and threw it over without even saying hello.

This is a highly toxic gas bomb made from a mixture of poisonous herbs and biological toxins extracted from the monsters.

Even many monsters with strong physiques cannot withstand this kind of poison.

As green smoke suddenly exploded from the bomb, the four people and four dogs guarding the farm gate had no time to react to the sudden attack and were enveloped by the poisonous green fog in a daze.

In less than ten seconds, the violent coughing and the pain like burning fire in the body made them lose their fighting ability. They could only curl up and lie in the spreading green fog, gradually losing their lives.

The two Wild Dog Gang members who had just walked into the farm with Lucifer also noticed the abnormality at the door. They immediately let go of Lucifer and started yelling frantically towards the inside of the farm, probably calling for support.

As they shouted, more than a dozen members of the Wild Dog Gang and a dozen vicious dogs rushed out of the farmhouse.

With weapons in hand, they rushed towards the two shouting gang members, somewhat confused. When they looked up, they found no enemies at all, so they asked the two men what had happened.

Several other gang members were even braver. They held weapons, covered their mouths and noses with their hands, and tried to get closer to the green fog released by the devil's dust, wanting to rescue the four gang members lying in the poisonous gas, but they didn't know that these four people had already lost their lives.

Wayne had already hidden himself near the farm gate under the cover of the bushes, and saw those members of the Wild Dog Gang who were trying to get close to the poison gas without knowing how to live or die.

He showed a sinister smile and stood out from the bushes. Before those people could react, he drew an inverted triangle seal in the air with his left hand and then gently pushed it forward.

A fierce gust of wind blasted out from his left hand, forming a fan-shaped shock wave with huge impact force, which directly hit the still spreading green poisonous fog and the few members of the Wild Dog Gang who wanted to get closer behind the poisonous fog.

Alder Seal.

With a bang, the green poisonous fog, pushed by the Alder Seal, quickly spread into the farm, and the few members of the Wild Dog Gang who were close to the poisonous fog were directly knocked to the ground by the powerful thrust of the Alder Seal.

However, before they could struggle to stand up, a figure wearing dark green light armor and holding a refined sword with a cold glow had already ignored the poisonous fog and flashed to their side.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

In just one or two seconds, the sword in the figure's hand turned into several afterimages, instantly cutting the throats of several Wild Dog Gang members who were lying on the ground.

The spurting blood instantly dyed the grass of the farm red. The struggles of the gang members came to an abrupt end. They all covered their throats and lost their lives in pain.

Wayne gently swung the steel sword in his hand, and the blood remaining on the tip of the sword separated from the sword body, making the sword return to its state of flashing cold light.

He held his sword horizontally, facing the remaining Wild Dog Gang members on the farm, and took a defensive stance of Wolf School swordsmanship. A cruel smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and he shouted sternly: "You bastards, you dared to steal my horse. Today is the day you die."
