Chapter 184 Prelude (Part 2)

West, District 27.

"Ike, it's another boring day." A middle-aged knight with a scar on his face was casually leaning on a steel spear and sighing to his companion beside him.

Ike was a rather young man. He stood straight, looking straight ahead, with a serious and determined look on his face. He did not answer the middle-aged knight's words.

"Hey, why are you taking it so seriously? Anyway, we knights are not as good as those wizards. Besides, when some wizards are around, how dare those high-energy creatures or all kinds of weird witchcraft plants come here?"

The middle-aged knight looked at the young knight Ike's face and couldn't help but make a mocking remark.

He was once very determined and tried his best to do everything well. However, after experiencing many things, he finally realized how ridiculous his ideas were.

A knight is always a knight, not a wizard.

"Ike, haha, you are so young..." Such a thought flashed through the middle-aged knight's mind.

"Master Wizard!"

Ike's steel spear rested on the ground, making a loud noise.

The middle-aged knight was startled and turned his head quickly. Outside the door, a carriage had stopped at some point. Two wizards had left the carriage and were walking slowly towards them.

The middle-aged knight looked at the logos on the two wizards' clothes and realized that they were wizards from the Wizard Academy Alliance Headquarters, so he smiled flatteringly and hurried to greet them.

"Master Wizard, Master Wizard." The middle-aged knight nodded and bowed, talking non-stop.

But in his heart, he was cursing Ike harshly.

"Ike, Ike, you little bastard, you didn't even tell me that the wizard was coming, you, you, you..."

Maureen and Albert ignored the middle-aged knight's thoughts, nor did they look at the young Ike. They talked to each other and walked inside.

"Richard, I have taken you to many garrisons over the past few days and met many pharmacists, but the pharmacist I met this time is different."

"Wizard Louis is a member of our Medicine Lamp and a very famous pharmacist in the pharmacy department. He has a high level of attainment in pharmacology, but his personality is a bit weird."

Albert talked to Maureen as he walked.

Maureen listened to Albert's words and nodded slightly.

In the past few days, he and Albert visited various locations and met many pharmacists. Some of them had been sent out from the pharmacy department a long time ago, and Maureen had never seen them. Apparently, the same was true for pharmacist Louis.

Soon, Maureen and the others appeared outside a villa.

"Albert, I haven't seen you for a long time. Is the person next to you the newcomer of Medicine Lamp and also the famous alchemy genius in the headquarters of the Wizard Academy Alliance?"

The door of the villa slowly opened, and an old man with messy hair and dirty and greasy body walked out of the villa.

Along with the old man came out a thick red smoke and an indescribable strange smell.

"Wizard Louis."

Albert smiled.

In the next few days, Maureen and Albert stayed at the base in District 27 of the West, communicating with Louis about pharmacy.

Maureen discovered that this pharmacist named Louis did have a strange temper and was difficult to get along with, but his attainments in pharmacy were very high, and Maureen benefited a lot from him.

"I'm afraid Louis' attainments in pharmacy are no worse than Albert's..." Maureen thought to himself.

Later, Maureen learned from Albert that Louis was also the deputy director of the pharmacy department, and she felt relieved.

That’s right. For a powerful and capable pharmacist like Louis, the Wizarding Academy Alliance is not blind and will definitely not let him be buried.

In addition to communicating with Louis, Maureen would go out from time to time to buy some strange witchcraft creature limbs.

After all, witchcraft creatures themselves have their own special characteristics. Some of them have rotted and disappeared before they can be transported to the headquarters of the Wizarding Academy Alliance. Therefore, if you want to get them, you must process the materials locally and then preserve them.

Maureen was walking slowly on the street, thinking about the witchcraft materials he had just purchased.

Suddenly, the sound of horse hooves was heard, and the wizards nearby hurriedly moved away.

A team of wizards rushed out of the base. Judging from their clothes and attire, it was easy to tell that they were all combat wizards from the Alliance Headquarters.

"Huh?" Morin suddenly discovered that the leading combat wizard looked familiar.

Looking closely, it turned out to be Wright.

Wright's entire body was covered in a layer of heavy bronze armor, with only a pair of eyes exposed. A bronze broadsword hung around his waist. At this moment, Wright was riding on a tall and majestic warhorse, looking mighty and extraordinary, giving people a great sense of oppression.

Wright looked over and obviously, he also noticed Maureen.

He looked at Maureen deeply.

The warhorse paused for a moment, and then Wright exerted force, and the warhorse immediately galloped forward.

The sound of horse hooves was heard, and soon, these fighting wizards disappeared on the spot.

There was a burst of discussion all around. No matter if they were wizard apprentices or knights, everyone around was talking about Wright and commenting on him non-stop, with undisguised admiration and envy in their tone.

"I remember that Wright and I crossed paths in District 27 in the West. No wonder he appeared here..." Morin thought about Wright's appearance just now, nodded, and a thoughtful look appeared on his face.

"Um?"

Suddenly, Morin turned his head and looked at the sky outside the base.

His eyes were bright, but his brows were slightly furrowed.

…………

After walking for a while, the wizards stopped to rest.

Although they are combat wizards, it does not mean that they will not be hard-working or tired.

The warhorse was eating the fresh green grass on the ground, while Wright was standing in front of a stone, his body straight, looking quietly in the direction of the Western District 27 headquarters.

His eyes were focused and his body was motionless, as if he was a statue.

"Wizard Light, we're done packing, we can set off." Deguli clapped his hands, shook off the hay residue in his hands, walked over and said.

Those hays were witchcraft plants grown by the Pharmacy Department specifically for feeding war horses. They were very beneficial to war horses, which were witchcraft creatures.

"Then let's go."

Wright withdrew his gaze and tightened his grip on the bronze broadsword at his waist.

He turned around, strode forward, and said, "Let's go to the next station and continue patrolling!"
