Chapter 26 Found You
In the dormitory.
The bloody face on the wall let out a miserable howl, as if it was severely crushed by an invisible force. It suddenly exploded, turning into black and red blood foam all over the sky, and then evaporated and disappeared in an instant.
The dense scratches and bloodstains faded away quickly, turning back into an ordinary white wall.
The air conditioner screen dimmed and the temperature began to rise.
The darkness in Li Yang's eyes receded like a tide, his body softened, and he slid along the wall to the ground and fainted.
The human-shaped dent on the bed also healed silently.
All the strange scenes that happened disappeared completely.
It seemed as if all the horror that just happened was just an illusion.
The lights suddenly came on, making people's eyes hurt.
The power was restored outside the corridor, and the noisy voices became clear and real, full of complaints and doubts.
The dormitory was dead silent.
Jichen slumped on the ground, gasping for breath, his face pale as he looked at the pool of pus, blood and the ashes of the amulet on the ground.
Lu Yi walked over silently, pulled back the cracked peach wood sword, and looked at "Gu Yuan" with complicated eyes.
The Yin Qi shrank rapidly like a living thing and disappeared into the shadow created by the light in the room.
A slender, upright human figure composed entirely of thick shadows slowly took shape, emitting a cold aura.
"What the hell is this?"
Ji Chen rolled and crawled behind Lu Yi, who was still relatively calm, his voice trembling.
He just saw with his own eyes that Lu Yi summoned a peach wood sword out of thin air and accurately hit the ghost's face!
Lu Yi gripped the peach wood sword tightly and did not answer, but stared at the shadowy figure with extreme vigilance.
Then he looked at "Gu Yuan", whose eyes were cold and whose temperament was completely different.
"Gu Yuan" ignored them, his eyes fell on the unconscious Li Yang, his brows slightly furrowed, and he tutted in extreme impatience.
What a hassle.
Deep in his consciousness, Gu Yuan asked anxiously: "What's wrong with Li Yang? There's something wrong with the Yin energy in him!"
It wasn't just something that was contaminated, it was more like it was emanating from within.
Ji Yunzhou's low, playful voice rang directly in his mind:
"Just a fool who thought he could be reborn by borrowing another body. He was awakened early by the last outburst of the vengeful spirit."
He added slowly, his tone harsh, "Since you begged me, while I'm still in a good mood, maybe I'll be kind enough to help you clean up the mess on your roommate."
Gu Yuan: "..."
There was a cold silence in the sea of consciousness.
"What? You want to watch someone die without helping?"
Ji Yunzhou chuckled, his laughter full of sarcasm:
"Forget it. He's just an insignificant person anyway. If you don't want to save him, just watch him slowly get drained of his energy and turn into that thing's skin."
Gu Yuan rolled his eyes in his heart.
Woo--uh ...!
A roar that was absolutely incapable of being uttered by a human being, filled with extreme pain, despair, hatred, and madness, pierced the ears of everyone present.
The cry contained a monstrous hatred that made one's scalp explode, and the last few words echoed repeatedly:
“They… all deserve to die—!!! They all deserve to die—!!!”
This cry...
The resentment is the same as that horrible bloody face just now, but a hundred times stronger!
Lu Yi suddenly straightened his body and held the peach wood sword across his chest.
Jichen was so scared that he covered his ears and trembled uncontrollably.
The shadowy figure wavered slightly.
"Gu Yuan" under Ji Yunzhou's control suddenly narrowed his eyes, which were filled with violent murderous intent.
He slowly turned his head and looked in the direction where the crying sound came from. It was not the corridor outside the door, but...
Deeper, as if coming from deep within the structure of the building.
"Senior Mo Lin?"
A name that had been forgotten for a long time, with an uncertain tone, spilled out from between Jichen's teeth.
The air was dead silent, and the echoes of the desperate wails seemed to still buzz in my ears, tormenting every nerve.
Lu Yi gripped the mahogany dagger tightly, his knuckles turning white, and his voice was dry: "Senior Mo Lin? Is he the genius who caused a sensation in City A by jumping off a building due to depression?"
Jichen nodded with difficulty.
"Gu Yuan" sneered very lightly, with a kind of condescending amusement.
"genius?"
He repeated the phrase with annoyance in his voice: "The essence of trouble is often wrapped in the sugar coating of misfortune."
Gu Yuan asked anxiously in the depths of his consciousness: "Why are you like this? Do you know him? Is this vengeful spirit coming for us?"
The extremely yin body is sensitive to malice, and the hatred in the crying voice was overwhelming, but it did not seem to be entirely directed at their dormitory.
"Who do you know?"
Ji Yunzhou's voice lazily sounded in his mind, with a hint of mockery:
"The dying wails of ants are not worthy of my ears. They are merely earthbound spirits whose resentment lingers after death, nurtured by the structure of this building and its years of gloom. As for why they suddenly erupted..."
He paused, then said meaningfully, "Ask your 'good roommate'."
His eyes fell on the unconscious Li Yang.
At this moment, Li Yang's body suddenly twitched violently!
A strange "gurgling" sound came from his throat, his eyelids trembled wildly, and the black blood vessels that had just faded away appeared faintly near his temples.
"What...what happened to him?" Jichen shrank back in fear.
Lu Yi's eyes flashed, he took a step forward, bit his fingertips and quickly drew them across the peach wood sword.
He was about to point at Li Yang's eyebrows, trying to force out the possessed thing.
“Tsk.”
"Gu Yuan" smacked his lips in extreme impatience, not even bothering to do anything, but his scarlet pupils turned slightly.
Lu Yi suddenly felt an invisible force suddenly grabbing his wrist, abruptly stopping his movements.
The peach wood sword froze in mid-air, unable to move forward any further!
He looked at "Gu Yuan" in horror.
"reckless."
"Gu Yuan" uttered two cold words without even looking at Lu Yi:
"If you want to shatter his soul and destroy his body right here, just poke him."
Lu Yi's expression changed several times, but he finally slowly withdrew his hand and just stared at Li Yang vigilantly.
"Then...what should we do?" Jichen's voice trembled.
"wait."
"Gu Yuan" spoke succinctly, his eyes fixed on Li Yang's twitching body:
"Let it come out on its own, or... force it out."
Before he finished speaking, the shrill and distorted wails could be heard again, this time even clearer.
It seemed to be circling at the end of the corridor outside the door, with an icy penetrating power, and the white ash on the wall seemed to fall down with it.
“…It hurts…Why don’t you believe me…”
“…Everyone is watching…and laughing…”
"...come down...to accompany me..."
Intermittent whispers, mixed with crying and shrill laughter, penetrated directly into the mind and tortured one's sanity.
Suddenly, an extremely cold wind blew out from the air-conditioning outlet, and [4:44] on the display screen flashed.
The lights began to flicker, at a frequency so fast that it was alarming.
The shadowy figure advanced in the shadows beneath Gu Yuan's feet, seemingly responding to the growing resentment outside.
Gu Yuan felt a wave of cold anxiety in his consciousness: "Ji Yunzhou!"
"It's so noisy."
Ji Yunzhou whispered impatiently, controlling Gu Yuan's body, and raised his hand to casually flick the air.
It's like dusting off.
The creepy whispers and cries in the dormitory were instantly blocked out, and the lights temporarily stabilized.
But the feeling of being watched and enveloped by great malice did not disappear, but became even heavier.
"Is it... is it stronger?" Ji Chen held his head, almost collapsing.
"Bastard."
"Gu Yuan" said coldly, but his eyes were once again cast towards the wall that had returned to normal, as if he could penetrate the cement and see the darkness lurking inside.
"The pain and hatred before death were too deep. Normally, it slumbers, but once it is stimulated by a similar aura or intentionally, it will awaken... It seems that tonight, something, or... someone, happened to hit its 'sore spot'."
His eyes vaguely swept over Li Yang, who was lying unconscious on the ground.
Lu Yi followed his gaze and his expression suddenly changed.
Just then—
“Huh…huh…”
Li Yang's convulsions stopped, but he began to make a labored gasping sound.
His eyes suddenly opened!
The pupils completely disappeared, leaving only the whites of the eyes filled with black blood vessels. He stared straight at Gu Yuan, but the corners of his mouth were stretched into an extremely strange and stiff smile.
A male voice that did not belong to Li Yang at all came out of his throat:
“…I found…you…”
