Xia He did not hide it.
"I came here to ask if Tiangong Pavilion has any news about the strange fire."
When Zhu Yi heard this, a hint of understanding flashed across her eyes, and she immediately said:
"It just so happens that I was planning to come find you. I have something to tell you."
"Within two days of reporting the previous cases of officials' deaths, Eunuch Chang sent someone to tell you, the newly promoted disciples, to participate in the investigation. You will take the lead."
"That is what your majesty meant."
When Xia He heard this, he was stunned and the smile on his face froze instantly.
He couldn't help but curse in a low voice:
"This old emperor really has bad intentions! I've only been quiet for a few days, why is he dragged into this again?"
Zhu Yi shook her head helplessly, with a hint of sympathy in her tone:
"Many people from aristocratic families in the court are dissatisfied with your becoming the true successor."
"If you don't agree, then don't agree."
Xia He couldn't stop them from talking.
But this was more like a test from the old emperor.
"This old emperor is a piece of shit!"
Xia He looked at the gate of Tiangong Pavilion and said, "Sister, how about I go in and try? Maybe I can find out something."
Zhu Yi raised her eyebrows, obviously not quite believing it:
"You? Gu Changfeng is not an easy guy to deal with. Even I have been frustrated. What can you do?"
Xia He shrugged his shoulders and said in a relaxed tone:
"Just give it a try. There's nothing to lose anyway. If you're worried, just wait for me here."
Seeing that he looked confident, Zhu Yi nodded despite some doubts.
"Okay, I'll wait for you here. But don't do anything rash. There are many officials in the court watching you. It will be difficult to deal with any trouble you cause."
Xia He smiled, didn't say much, turned around and walked straight into Tiangong Pavilion.
The Tiangong Pavilion is beautifully decorated and the air is filled with a faint scent of sandalwood.
As soon as Xia He entered the hall, a waiter came up to greet him and asked respectfully, "Sir, what can I do for you?"
Xia He glanced at him and said calmly, "I want to see your Young Master, Gu Changfeng."
The waiter heard this and showed a trace of embarrassment on his face:
"Young Pavilion Master is very busy and I'm afraid it's inconvenient for me to see you. If you have any needs, please tell me directly."
Xia He smiled slightly, took out a token from his arms, and waved it in front of the waiter:
"Are the commanders of the four major camps qualified enough to see your young master?"
When the waiter saw the token, his expression changed slightly, and he bowed and said:
"Sir, please wait a moment. I will go and inform you right away."
A moment later, Xia He was taken to the top floor of Tiangong Pavilion.
Gu Changfeng was sitting on a carved wooden chair, playing with a jade ring in his hand with a gentle expression.
He looked up at Xia He, and was a little surprised to see him so young. He stood up and said with a warm smile: "I didn't expect the general to be so young. I'm sorry for not welcoming you. What's the matter?"
Xia He also laughed.
"I want to get some information from the Young Master. Can you help me?"
