Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Fu Le was wearing dry clothes but was barefoot. As soon as he stepped outside, he was startled by the sea breeze blowing through the warehouse. Who opened the warehouse door? Ouch... It's so cold.

The temperature was at most less than ten degrees Celsius, and it was still on the cold sea. Even though she was wearing two layers of clothes, it was still not enough to keep her warm. The tattered linen clothes were not warm at all, but in order not to give herself away, she only dared to wear a thin thermal undershirt underneath.

Seeing that everyone is dressed like this and not cold, I guess they're used to it.

Fu Le was led to the middle of the cabin, a space of about ten square meters, with a stool where she could sit. The man who had saved her earlier was waiting for her there.

"I'm the captain here, Guan Ya. What's your name?"

"Fu Le".

"You really don't remember which grotto you came from?" This dark-skinned woman's origins were unknown.

"Yes, I don't remember anything, nothing about this world."

This time, not only the men, but everyone else looked at her in shock, clearly stunned by her words.

"Go and call your mother over, and have her brain checked."

A few minutes later, Fu Le saw the only woman on the ship, an old woman in her fifties. The old woman looked much better than the others; her hair was tied up with a cloth strip, and apart from her dark skin, she looked clean and refreshing.

"Come here, girl, let me take a look at you."

Fu Le didn't want anyone to touch her, but at the moment, it seemed there was no way to avoid it.

She stood frozen as a pair of thugs groped her head, and then she heard, "No wounds, perfectly fine."

Everyone: So, how did she lose her memory? Or is she lying?

Noticing the suspicious glances around her, Fu Le remained unfazed. "If you suspect I've done anything wrong, just leave me anywhere on land." Her expression was cold as she spoke, clearly indicating her displeasure.

"You have quite a temper," Guan Ya said coldly.

Fu Le remained silent, head bowed, saying nothing.

"Well, let her sleep with you. She's probably tired. Take her to rest. We'll be docked in ten more days, so you'll have to wait a bit longer." The last sentence was addressed to Fu Le.

Fu Le nodded. "Thank you. I will repay you."

Guan Ya, who was about to leave, turned to look at her and said, "You don't even have any memories, how can you repay me?"

"You'll find out when the time comes." Fu Le didn't want to say more and followed his mother.

She is very tired and needs to rest.

After escorting Fu Le to her room, her mother went out to cook dinner, saying that it would be three hours before dinner and she needed time to prepare.

Once everyone had left and gone far away, Fu Le turned on the timer.

Fortunately, this time it's only been four months, so she shouldn't have to be sent to the hospital by her mother.

After taking a health-boosting pill and drinking milk, Fu Le finally managed to fall asleep despite the stench. The quilt, made of multiple layers of burlap, was cold and heavy, but he couldn't go without it.

That's it, Fu Le slowly drifted off to sleep.

In a half-awake state, she seemed to hear someone come in to wake her up for breakfast, but she was too tired and said she didn't want to eat, so she continued to sleep. She slept until about 10 a.m. the next day, when she woke up hungry.

When Fu Le woke up, there was no one in the room. The old woman must have been cooking again. After washing up and getting ready, Fu Le ate something before leaving the room.

After getting enough sleep and food, your energy will return.

The ship was stationary at this point. Fu Le went up to the deck and saw everyone busy at work, some casting nets, some unloading fish. The hold on the deck was full of lively fish, while the large wooden buckets on the deck contained shrimp and crabs. The shrimp were as long as an adult's arm and looked very fat. The crabs were like giant turtles, one as big as her head, but with short limbs, each less than ten centimeters long, and small, harmless pincers. What strange species was this? She had never seen it before.

"You haven't eaten, have you? Staring at the shrimp and crabs, these don't taste good at all, they're used as animal feed." Fu Le turned around, and it was A-Jian.

Are shrimp and crabs all like this?

"Otherwise what?" A-Jian looked at Fu Le with a puzzled expression.

Why does this kid always ask questions?

"Can you tell me how you trade these things? What is your currency? I mean, what do you use to buy supplies?"

Ah Jian didn't reply, tilting his head to look at her, his suspicious gaze almost piercing her like a sieve.

Fu Le: ...

She's not that old, so why is she so wary?

“Girl, if you have any questions, ask your mother. Ah Jian won’t answer any of them.” At the entrance to the cabin, your mother stood there with a smile. “You haven’t eaten yet, have you? I made some delicious fish ball soup. Come and try it.”

Fu Le rolled her eyes at A Jian, snorted, and followed her mother into the kitchen. She saw the environment inside: a kitchen of less than ten square meters, with a table, a floor cabinet, an iron bucket containing a barrel of oil, a large iron pot on top, a cutting board, and a knife on the table.

"What kind of oil is this? Is it for starting a fire?" Fu Le found everything he saw strange.

"This is oil rendered from the fat of a bone wax beast. You really don't know anything, do you? Here, this pot is full of fish balls. Try them and see if your mother's cooking is good." As she spoke, her mother took out a bowl made of white bone from the cupboard, along with a bone spoon.

That bowl, I don't know what kind of animal skull it was, wasn't very big.

"This is the kneecap of the bone wax beast, and the spoon is its toe."

Fu Le: You're just trying to fleece one animal, aren't you?

The iron lid on the large iron pot was lifted, and a fresh and fragrant aroma wafted out.

Fu Le's attention was instantly drawn to the fish balls floating on the soup in the pot. Each fish ball was as big as a lion's head meatball in real life. For an ordinary person, one of these would be enough to fill them up.

"It smells so good." My stomach, which was full, suddenly felt hungry again, purely out of craving.

"It smells good, right? Eat more. We have plenty of food on our ship, much more comfortable than the people living in the caves."

Fu Le: Are you sure? Don't you know how skinny they've all become?

Taking the bowl and spoon from her mother, Fu Le ate the fish balls. The delicious taste instantly won her over.

I ate five or six in a row, and unsurprisingly, I was stuffed.

The old man watched her eat with a smile throughout, occasionally answering her a few small questions. He seemed like an ordinary elderly person, kind and approachable.

After finishing her meal, Fu Le went up to the deck to digest, but no one paid any attention to her or even ignored her. People just walked around her, showing their disapproval.

Um, is this a case of being isolated?

"Oh dear, I really have no memory of this at all. What sea area is this? Is this China?" Since no one paid any attention to her, she went to find her mother and helped her tear the live fish apart.

"You really don't know?" Ah Ma smiled, her eyes flickering as she looked at Fu Le.

Whether this girl who suddenly appeared is a good thing or a bad thing is unknown.
