Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Fu Le was busy until the early hours of the morning before she finally lay down on the bed. She hadn't even taken off her clothes and shoes. When she woke up again, she was in a pitch-black world where she couldn't see her hand in front of her face.

Fu Le felt as if he was sitting on a metal object, which was creaking and groaning as it moved forward.

What is it?

Time travel again? Time machine, come out!

The output is a timer: 71:58:12

What kind of world is this? Am I supposed to stay here for three days?

Fu Le touched the cold, bone-chilling metal beneath him, and a line of text appeared before his eyes: Garbage Cleaning Machine Tiger, Otherworldly Technology, Not Collectible.

Fu Le: You son of a bitch!

The only possibility is that she was disposed of as trash. There's no other possibility. Is she destined to be associated with trash? Is it just a pile of garbage, or nothing but a pile of garbage?

Fu Le took out his flashlight and realized that he was in a not-so-closed rectangular truck bed, surrounded by metal scraps.

Fu Le fumbled around for a while before finding the handle. She turned it upwards and with a click, the lid on her head popped open. It was nighttime outside, and there was a large, round moon in the sky. However, this moon was different from the one in the real world; it was twenty times larger. How many light-years away had she been transported to? And how could she be so close to the moon?

Never mind, let's run.

Otherwise, if she goes to the junkyard again and doesn't encounter a good giant like Fish Octopus, and something dangerous happens, she will really die in this other world.

Fu Le made quite a commotion, but the robot pulling the garbage truck in front of him never turned its head to look. Fu Le watched as the short robot, less than 1.5 meters tall, pulled the huge garbage truck, which resembled a modern engineering dump truck, gradually disappeared into the night. He couldn't help but be a little stunned. Could this be the future?

The moon was large enough, but the light was only so-so, as if it were covered by a black cloth. It was very dark, and you could barely see the ground. The surroundings were still unusually quiet.

The flashlight beam swept across the ground, and Fu Le found that it was all thumb-sized stones. She tried to dig them up with her foot, but there were still stones underneath. Fu Le found it strange; was there no soil here? Curiosity led her to pull out the pickaxe that she didn't know she had thrown into the shuttle at some point. After a few swings, it was rock hard. She dug it open, and it was all stones, no soil. Fu Le tried several other places and found the same thing.

Is this a world without soil? Are there people here? Or are they all robots?

Fu Le shone his flashlight everywhere, but as far as he could see, there was nothing around him except for the gravel ground, no buildings, let alone people.

"Holy crap, a shuttle! Where am I? There's not even a shelter from the wind and rain!!!" Is this some kind of setup to keep her stuck in one place and then send her back the way she came? "Shuttle, why do you always bring me to other worlds? There has to be a reason, right?" She didn't believe that this shuttle was just there to send her to other worlds to collect resources. They were complete strangers, so why would it do this? So, what is it after?

Fu Le was unaware that while she was talking to the shuttle, a black shadow silently approached overhead.

"Alien intrusion detected, lock on, lock on, attack, attack!!!" A mechanical voice rang out overhead, and Fu Le's first reaction in terror was to run away as fast as he could.

Help!

Bang bang bang bang bang...

The sound of machine gun fire came from behind, the rocks were blasted apart, and the pain of the flying debris hitting his body reminded Fu Le that this was real, not a joke. If he was even a little slower, people would really die!

Fu Le felt his hair stand on end. He didn't dare look back and ran forward as fast as he could. In other worlds, a single word could lead to a gun fight, but in this other world, not even a single word could be spoken. Waaah...

As Fu Le ran forward headlong, her mind was blank. She had only one thought in mind: she had to survive. She didn't believe that if she died in another world, she could go back. Given the cold-blooded nature of the shuttle, it would definitely leave her to die!

You bastard, you shuttle! You brought me to another world and then abandoned me to my fate!

Inside the metallic-looking room, screens embedded in the four walls were all simultaneously playing the same scene: a woman in strange clothing was running away, and a defense robot was firing bullets at her.

Two robots stood swaying and clanking in front of the screen, their red-glowing eyes fixed on the wall. They occasionally shook their watermelon-sized robotic heads, seemingly thinking and discerning something. Soon, the robot on the right pressed a button on the screen, shouting, "Warning, warning, alien invasion! Warning, warning, alien invasion!"

While on the run, Fu Le heard a sharp screech all around him and then fell headfirst. Just before losing consciousness, a pair of robotic feet stood near his face, less than ten centimeters away.

"It's over!" Fu Le thought, "I'm doomed this time!"

"This is also a human, without any trace of alien form."

"Let me see, it really is. I just don't know which ethnic group it belongs to. This clothing looks very primitive. It looks a bit like cloth from ancient times. Hmm... it really is cloth..."

"Cloth! Let me see, let me see!!"

Fu Le was awakened by the chirping of crickets. She felt something touching her clothes, pulling and tugging at them, and turning her over and over.

Where am I? How can these people be so rude?

As his memories returned, Fu Le opened his eyes and met a pair of silver eyes.

"Holy shit!!!" With a sudden roar, Fu Le sat up from the ground and instinctively backed away. As he backed away, he realized that there was a group of people sitting or squatting opposite him. They were a group of people dressed in very strange clothes. Their eyes and hair looked like those of foreigners, with colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. But their clothes were strange, a slippery gray that looked like fish scales. "Are you people?"

After being chased by robots all the way, Fu Le was still in shock when he fell unconscious and unexpectedly encountered humans, although these humans looked very strange.

Fu Le looked around and found himself seemingly locked in a house. The house was surrounded by cold stone walls, with no exit or windows. At the top of the house was a glowing sphere, like a lamp, illuminating the entire house as if it were daytime.

"Are you speaking the language of the ancient planet?" After Fu Le asked the first question, an old man with a red face and a full head of white hair appeared and stammered out a sentence of Chinese with a strange tone.

Fu Le was overjoyed; she understood, "You can speak Chinese!!"

The red-faced old man nodded. Although the other person spoke quickly, it was short, and he could roughly understand it. He could also guess the meaning of a few words. Then the old man turned his head and chattered with the others. The others also chattered and made their own comments, but Fu Le just watched the fun and couldn't understand anything.

Fu Le asked again, "Where is this? Can we get out?"

"This is a human prison. We can't get out. We can only grow old and die here." The old man turned his head and looked at Fu Le again when he heard Fu Le speak.

Fu Le: ...

Alright, you don't need to do anything. Just go back when it's time.
