Chapter 60

Chapter 60

I bought a ton of quilts, thermal underwear, clothes for spring, summer, autumn and winter, underwear, socks, and even a diesel generator and diesel fuel. I also prepared five gas cylinders, two gas stoves, pots and pans, a rechargeable flashlight, a tent, shampoo, toothbrushes, and two empty milk jugs filled with clean groundwater. I also prepared a large bathtub, towels, bath towels...

After preparing food and supplies, Fu Le would sneak out over the wall in the middle of the night and take the dogs to the nearby mountains to collect dead trees. At this time, the small swords of the Lama tribe came in very handy. A dead tree with a diameter of ten centimeters could be cut in one stroke. Crack, crack, crack, cutting through the trunks as thick as a wrist was even more decisive than cutting radishes. Fu Le collected trees all night. Even though he wasn't tired from chopping, he was still tired from raising and waving his arms.

As dawn approached, Fu Le turned around and was startled by the scene below the slope. In the small hollow at the foot of the hill not far from her, there were rabbits and pheasants, and even muntjacs. Four of them were whimpering and tilting their heads back, wagging their tails wildly at her. A Lang even used his mouth to lift up a rabbit on the ground, signaling Fu Le to put it away.

"I didn't send you here to hunt..."

Woof woof woof!!

Fu Le: ...

"Alright, alright, I'll take it all. Hey, are you hungry? Eat!"

Rice bowls, rice dogs!! The four bowls made a rustling sound as they rubbed against the sand, and the dogs ate without even looking up.

Fu Le stored the mountain of prey in her spatial storage. Looking at the dogs burying their heads in their food, she felt a little regretful. If she could take them to another world... well, never mind. Based on her travel experience in previous worlds, these dogs weren't suitable for ordinary dogs. They were dogs from peaceful times, and if they went to another world, they would most likely be devoured to the bone.

With only one day left before the time travel, it happened to be the weekend. Fu Le even took leave from her tutoring class and stayed home to make vegetable and minced meat rice balls and dried meat. Although she brought pots, pans, and even firewood, what if she didn't have time to cook? Wouldn't she have to eat milk and kiwifruit until she was sick of it?

Sometimes, people have a sixth sense, and Fu Le's was very strong.

On the third day after the system's warning time had passed, Fu Le knew that the system, that brain-dead thing, had most likely malfunctioned again.

Another monthly exam ended, and Fu Le climbed into bed exhausted. The next day was Saturday, and she wanted to sleep until Sunday. Mental fatigue was far more terrifying than physical exhaustion.

However, she was woken up by the cold not long after she fell asleep. Although it was winter, wasn't this a bit too cold?

"Where's the blanket?" Fu Le huddled up in the cold, reaching out to grab the blanket, but there was nothing there. All her fingers touched was bone-chilling cold, like ice.

Wait, ice cubes?!

Fu Le sat up abruptly, his eyes wide open. As far as the eye could see, there was a world of ice and snow. The sun hanging high in the sky had no warmth at all, as if it were fake.

Shivering as he put on his clothes and boots, Fu Le, still shaking, set out the tent, laid out five layers of the matching palm mattress, and then took out more than ten quilts, piling them tightly inside the tent. Long-haired sheets, animal skin blankets, animal skin pillows, and an electric blanket—after a flurry of activity, he had created a thick, warm nest. The campfire outside was also lit, and only then did Fu Le have the energy to call for the shuttle.

"Shuttle, come out here!! What dimension is this?!"

'The Ice Age of 2045.' This time, the shuttle answered quickly.

Fu Le: !!!

"The future world?" Fu Le was shocked. In other words, twenty years after the time she was reborn, it would be the end of the world.

I don't know.

Fu Le: ...

"Then what do you know? There are space stones here?"

'none. '

"Don't tell me you've set the wrong anchor point again." Fu Le put on a coffin-like face, his anger barely contained.

"It's almost fully fixed, but there's still a small problem; there's been a slight deviation. I'm working on it now, and after this, it shouldn't have any more issues."

Fu Le: ...

She knew the system was unreliable.

"I'd like to see how long I'll be staying here this time." Fu Le opened the countdown panel.

When Fu Le saw that the duration started at 130,000, he almost thought he was seeing things. He checked several times before he was completely stunned.

That's a whopping six months!

"Are you trying to kill me? Huh? What good will it do you to kill me? Six months? Why don't you just let me live here forever? Huh?!

'Warning! Warning! Warning! Please calm down, host, or you may die from lack of oxygen.'

Fu Le, panting heavily: ...

Damn it!

No one told her that in the freezing cold, getting emotional can cause her vision to go black and make it hard to breathe...

'This world is oxygen-deficient. The reason the host didn't react initially is due to improved physical condition; otherwise, they would have died from oxygen deprivation on the spot.'

At this moment, Fu Le wished he could rush into the space and tear the shuttle apart!

When someone is extremely popular, there are often two extremes: one is going crazy, and the other is walking away with a cold laugh.

If she went mad now, she would die, so she could only mute her microphone, crawl into the tent, and lie on the soft animal skin mat to calm down.

Much later, the question arose: "Are there still humans alive?"

I don't know.

Fu Le: That was an unnecessary question for her.

"So far, I've only repaired ten square centimeters. The exploration function only becomes available when the repaired area reaches more than 50%, and currently the repair rate is 0.001%. I can only test the species to see if it's edible. In short, don't bother me with anything else; it's useless."

Fu Le: ...

Let her die, she can't live anymore.

...

Was Fu Le the type to just laze around and wait to die? No, so she pulled out her binoculars and looked around. Unfortunately, everything she saw and knew left her speechless. All she could see was ice and snow. There wasn't a single person in sight, not even a single abandoned tree.

She even wondered if the whole world had sunk to the bottom, underground.

Suddenly, something landed on his face. He raised his hand to touch it, and his palm was covered in frost. Fu Le looked up and saw that it was snowing. Snowflakes the size of his palm were swirling down from the sky like white butterflies, with an indescribable beauty, like a dream of nature.

Fu Le turned on the generator, plugged in the electric blanket, and began to build a wooden house on top of the tent in the snow. Following the shape of the tent, it wasn't too difficult.

The snow stopped after a short while, and Fu Le breathed a sigh of relief. If it had fallen too thickly, it could have collapsed her little wooden house once it solidified.

The work took a whole day, and a simple wooden hut was erected above the tent. The roof and sides of the hut were covered with animal skin curtains, which were thick and sturdy, just right to block the wind and snow.

She bought the animal skin curtain in the post-apocalyptic world because it was of really good quality and warm, making her like it from the bottom of her heart.

But what I didn't expect was that it came into use quite quickly.
