"Amitabha." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva clasped his hands together and chanted the Buddha's name, "What brings you here, fellow Daoist?"
Rahula folded his hands and said, "I have come here to proclaim the purpose of my Dharma."
Upon hearing this, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva immediately stood up, slowly stepped down from the lotus platform and bowed, saying, "Respectfully listen to my teachings."
The disciples of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in the main hall also gathered behind Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and bowed in unison, saying, "Respectfully listen to my teachings."
Rahula walked up to the hall and sang loudly: "According to the command of the Buddha, Samantabhadra took the initiative and preserved the Buddhist tradition in Shu County. His contributions are outstanding. He is honored with the title of 'Great Vehicle Wisdom Saint', and is named 'Great Vehicle Wisdom Saint Samantabhadra Bodhisattva', in charge of all Buddhist affairs in the Great Tang Kingdom."
Upon hearing this, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva immediately bowed and said, "Disciple bows to thank the Buddha and respectfully wishes him endless aeons of bliss and boundless Dharma power."
When Samantabhadra Bodhisattva was awarded the title by the Buddha, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in other Buddhist communities did not have it so easy.
Outside of Shu County, all temples dedicated to Buddha and Bodhisattva were demolished, Buddha statues were either confiscated or directly destroyed, and all Buddhist disciples in the temples were forced to return to secular life.
At the same time, undercurrents began to surge between the Buddhist monks and great virtues and the Taoist monks and great virtues.
But all this has nothing to do with Fang Jian for the time being, because he has just received news that the Dean Xun Kuang, who has been in charge of the Heavenly Court for nearly a million years, is leaving his post, and a new Dean of the Heavenly Court is about to take office.
Fang Jian and the other Heavenly Judges who were away from home returned to Heaven as soon as they received the news.
