Chapter 189,/.

"Master Hongqing, would you like to drink tea or wine?" asked Fang Jian of the Bull Demon Dynasty.

Fang Jian smiled and said, "I am an immortal and cannot drink alcohol. I hope Brother Bull Demon King will forgive me."

"Then pour tea for Master Hongqing." said the Bull Demon King.

The Jade-faced Fairy beside him quickly stood up, poured a cup of spiritual tea for Fang Jian, and respectfully presented it to Fang Jian.

Fang Jian took the teacup and thanked the Jade-faced Fairy. The Fairy was startled, then quickly said, "I dare not, I dare not."

Fang Jian took a sip of the spiritual tea, then put down the teacup and looked at the Bull Demon King, but did not speak.

Upon seeing this, Bull Demon King immediately spoke first, "I originally wanted to host a banquet for Master Hongqing in my own cave, but I was afraid Master Hongqing might get suspicious, so I've decided to hold the banquet in this humble place. Master Hongqing, please don't mind."

Fang Jian shook his head and said, "I like to keep everything simple."

The Bull Demon King nodded slightly, then picked up his teacup, sat up straight, and said to Fang Jian, "Regarding the assassination of Master Hongqing by someone from the Xuan Sect, I, Old Bull, would like to apologize to Master Hongqing first."

The moment Bull Demon King said this, the small reed tent immediately became quiet. The Jade-faced Fairy looked at Fang Jian with anxiety, waiting for Fang Jian's response nervously.

Upon seeing this, a stall owner immediately covered his ears and walked out of the reed tent. Although he didn't know why the Bull Demon King had to apologize for the Xuan Cult's assassination of Fang Jian, he knew that the following conversation was not something he could listen to.

After a long while, Fang Jian finally spoke up, "Why do you say that, Fellow Daoist Niu? What does the Xuan Cult's assassination of me have to do with you?"

When Bull Demon King heard this, he immediately understood that Fang Jian had accepted his apology, although this was also a reward for his help in incriminating the Xuan Sect that day.

"Even if it's not related, I still have to admit my mistake. I, Old Niu, do things openly and honestly, and never play the game of a hypocrite or a sinister villain." The Bull Demon King said slowly.

When the Jade-faced Fairy beside heard this, she glared and quietly reached out to pinch the Bull Demon King's waist.

The Bull Demon King screamed in pain, but when he met the Jade-faced Fairy's eyes, he realized that he had spoken out of turn, so he quickly said, "Of course, I'm not talking about you, Master Hongqing, uh... I mean, except for Master Hongqing... this..."

It would have been fine if he hadn't explained. Explaining would have only made things more obvious. Fortunately, Fang Jian didn't mind. He just smiled and said, "Brother Niu, besides an apology, you probably have something else to say when you invited me to the banquet."

When the Jade-faced Fairy heard this, she frantically gestured to the Bull Demon King. The Bull Demon King also sat up straight and said, "Not bad."

Fang Jian said, "Please speak."

The Bull Demon King said, "It's like this. My son Heihai has contracted a strange disease. For some reason, a divine thunder has appeared in his Niwan Palace. It's extremely dangerous and could be life-threatening if we're not careful. I heard that Master Hongqing is an expert in thunder magic, so I specifically wanted to ask Master Hongqing to help my son get rid of this calamity. My husband and I are deeply grateful."

Fang Jian smiled faintly upon hearing this and said, "To eliminate disasters and calamities, and to save people from suffering, is the duty of us, the gods of heaven."

At this point, Fang Jian produced a talisman and said, "I've long since discovered your son's strange illness and have a cure. It's just that you two haven't asked, so I couldn't explain it directly. Now that you two have asked me, I will certainly help. Here is a talisman I gave you. Simply take it home and place it between your son's eyebrows. It will dispel the calamity and dissolve the divine thunder."

Before the Bull Demon King could say anything, the Jade-faced Fairy stood up and took the talisman. She then said to Fang Jian, "Thank you, Master Hongqing, for your great kindness. I will never forget it."

After being stunned for a moment, Bull Demon King also bowed to Fang Jian and said, "In that case, thank you very much, Master Hongqing."

Fang Jian chuckled and looked at the Bull Demon King, saying, "I have helped your son to avert disaster. Fellow Daoist Niu owes me a great favor."

The Bull Demon King was stunned for a moment, and after a long pause, he forced a smile and said stiffly, "Haha, yes... I owe Master Hongqing a huge favor this time."

Seeing that Bull Demon King personally accepted the favor, Fang Jian picked up the teacup and drank the spiritual tea in one gulp, then stood up and said with a smile, "I'm leaving now."

Then Fang Jian walked out of the small reed tent, and with a flash of fairy light on his body, he flew back to the heavenly residence.

The Bull Demon King slammed his fist on the table and said angrily, "Master Hongqing, you are so mean! It was clearly him...but he turned around and asked me to owe him a favor. How despicable and shameless! How hateful!"

Favors between immortals and monks are like karma, and are not so easy to owe. If you do a favor now, you may have to pay a huge price to repay it in the future.

So Fang Jian used his own way to force Bull Demon King to accept this great favor of "saving his son's life", and of course Bull Demon King would be extremely angry.

But what else could he do? Kill Fang Jian, a blatant rebellion against Heaven? Would he still want his wife and children? So he could only grit his teeth and swallow his anger.
