Shaoyang Mountain does not have any ancient saints and ancestors, but instead inherits the Jade Purity Dharma. The current abbot of Shaoyang Mountain, Li Xuanyi, is the founder of Shaoyang Mountain.
Li Xuanyi, a young man, sought the truth and traveled around the world to visit famous teachers, but he did not meet a true master who could teach him the truth for thirty years.
But he did not give up, and his determination to seek the Tao became even stronger. Thirty years later, the seventy-five-year-old Li Xuanyi was still a mortal and had not yet entered the Tao.
Finally, at the age of seventy-six, he was about to die, but he never regretted his lifelong journey of seeking the truth, even if he gained nothing, even if he died alone.
At the end of his life, Li Xuanyi finally had a great enlightenment. He stood up as if he had regained his consciousness and wrote a poem on a large stone with his fingers. The poem read:
The young man is unruly and ambitious, and his ambitions are high even though he is in the world.
I am not afraid of the distant mountains or dangerous cliffs, I am just afraid that my life will be like a weed.
I have never seen the world grow old, but I have seen beauty fade with each passing year.
Wealth and glory will soon disappear like smoke, and it will be a waste of life in this world.
With this heart devoutly seeking morality, one can transcend the mundane world and be free.
I have no regrets about the past, and I hope to break out of the prison of this world in the next life.
When he wrote this, Li Xuanyi suddenly realized that the big rock in front of him was stained with blood. When he looked at his right hand again, he found that half of his arm had been worn off.
But he felt no pain at all. In an instant, it was as if the light from heaven entered his body, and his mind became clear. Suddenly, the wind blew in the forest. In the dark forest, a gorgeous tiger suddenly jumped out and pounced directly at Li Xuanyi.
Li Xuanyi was not afraid at all. Instead, he waited calmly. The tiger roared and then pounced on Li Xuanyi to the ground.
But Li Xuanyi did not fall to the ground, because it was his mortal body that fell to the ground.
The tiger used its two massive claws to hold down Li Xuanyi's mortal body. It then turned its head and spoke in human language towards him, "Congratulations, Taoist Priest, on achieving enlightenment and becoming an immortal. Now that you've become an immortal, this mortal body is probably useless, right?"
Li Xuanyi chuckled and waved his sleeves, saying, "Thank you for helping me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have shed my mortal body so quickly. This mortal body is a gift to you."
The tiger was overjoyed and said, "Sir, you are so kind. I am so grateful to you."
After saying that, the tiger grabbed Li Xuanyi's body in its mouth, leaped up and disappeared back into the forest.
After Li Xuanyi had an epiphany and shed his mortal body, he obtained the True Immortal Fruit. Then, Dou Mu Yuanjun bestowed upon him the Taoist method "Yuqing Hundong Shaoyang Sword Sutra". From then on, he was unstoppable. Within five hundred years, he successively obtained the Xuan Immortal Fruit and the Taiyi Xuan Immortal Fruit.
Today, Li Xuanyi has established a school in Dongsheng Shenzhou and accepted disciples. He named the school "Shaoyang Mountain" and became a master and founder of the school.
At this moment, Li Xuanyi was sitting cross-legged in his own mountain gate hermitage. He had met with Yan Haiping from Yuhua Temple and Zhao Yangqing from Xuantu Temple a few days ago. The three families had already formed a secret alliance.
