"In Jambudvīpa, the Xuan Sect is blocking the Taoist sect. Most of the power of our Buddhist sect can finally be transferred back to Xiniuhezhou." Vairocana Buddha said slowly, holding the Vajra rosary.
Upon hearing this, the Northern Amoghavajra Buddha asked, "Who will govern the Buddhist kingdom of Indra?"
The Buddha Mahavairocana said, "It is managed by the Sandalwood Merit Buddha."
"Oh?" The Northern Amoghavajra Buddha was somewhat surprised when he heard this. He said, "The Sandalwood Merit Buddha has only recently attained enlightenment. I'm afraid it will be difficult for him to stabilize the situation."
"That's all right," said Vairocana Buddha with a smile. "The Eastern Buddha has ordered Fighting Victory Buddha to go to India to assist Sandalwood Merit Buddha in governing the Indian Buddhist kingdom."
Upon hearing this, the Northern Amoghavajra Buddha's expression suddenly relaxed and he said, "So that's how it is. With the Fighting Victory Buddha there, the Indian Buddhist Kingdom will be safe."
Since becoming a Buddha, Fighting Buddha has shown little interest in any expansion of Buddhism. He is even more "Buddhist" than all other Buddhas. He is the kind of Buddha who "jumps around at the drop of a hat".
Moreover, no matter what the Buddhist sect needs to do and send the Fighting Buddha out, he will most likely just work without putting in any effort.
Gradually, the Buddhist sect rarely sent him out. Although the Fighting Buddha did not contribute much during the offensive, there was no problem in using him for defense.
After all, Fighting Buddha is still a "Buddha" no matter what. He is not a Taoist priest, nor an official in heaven. His position is in Buddhism.
Therefore, whenever Buddhism wants to defend an important place, it will basically send the Fighting Buddha to go there.
However, although everyone is a Buddha, there is a strict division of status.
First of all, the highest respected person in Buddhism is naturally the present Buddha Shakyamuni Tathagata. Whether in terms of status or practice, he is undoubtedly at the pinnacle of Buddhism.
However, Shakyamuni Buddha did not usually handle Buddhist affairs personally, delegating authority almost entirely to the living Buddhas. He also did not inquire about the actions of the Buddhas in the Buddhist community, and would not even reveal his own inclinations.
Next are the ancient Buddha Dipankara and Maitreya Buddha. The ancient Buddha Dipankara has a noble status, but in fact he has not much authority at all, because his position as a Buddha and his authority belong to the 'past'.
Then there is Maitreya Buddha. Maitreya Buddha is the same as the ancient Buddha Dipankara, but the difference is that Maitreya Buddha is the future Buddha. In short, he is the Buddha who will succeed Sakyamuni Buddha in the future. He has some authority in the world, but it is not great, and his position is "future".
Sakyamuni Buddha, Dipankara Buddha, and Maitreya Buddha are the Buddhas of the past, present, and future.
In addition to the above three, the next Buddha with the greatest authority in the world is "Medicine Master Vaiduryaprabha Buddha", followed by "Amitabha Buddha of the West", and then "Central Vairocana Buddha", also known as Mahavairocana Buddha.
However, there is a person among them who is not a Buddha, but whose authority is not inferior to that of the Buddhas. She is "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva".
Then in order are the 'Vajra Indestructible Buddha', 'Vairocana Buddha', 'Immovable Buddha of the East', 'Ratnasambhava Buddha of the South', 'Amoghavajra Buddha of the North', 'Sandalwood Merit Buddha' and 'Fighting Victory Buddha'.
Except for Sakyamuni Buddha, the great Buddhist saints represented by Maitreya Buddha and Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva all advocated the management of the Southern Continent Buddhist Kingdom, developing Buddhism under the constraints of heavenly rules, spreading Buddhism, and trying not to conflict with the Heavenly Court.
The tendency of the ancient Buddha Dipamkara and the Buddha Bhaisajyaguru is not obvious.
However, Amitabha Buddha in the West, Vairocana Buddha, and Amoghavajra Buddha in the North tend to compete with the Heavenly Court for power, hoping to allow Buddhism to transcend the constraints of the Heavenly Law and obtain greater benefits and status for Buddhism in the world.
Therefore, Buddhism is now mainly divided into these two major factions, and all actions in Buddhism are based on the ideological disputes between these two factions.
"I have returned to Xiniu Hezhou now to plan the affairs of Xiniu Hezhou with my two fellow Taoists." Vairocana Buddha said to Vairocana Buddha and Amoghavajra Buddha in the north.
