"The monks of the Mahavairocana sect follow evil ways, do not observe the precious precepts, do not abide by the correct laws, cruelly kill people, and disrupt the order of heaven. They do not uphold the law correctly, and their virtues are not of the highest quality. They act like demons, but they only seek the reputation of great virtue. They lustfully deceive sentient beings, but have no merit in nurturing all things. They deceive heaven and kill people, but have no virtue in educating and enlightening the people..."
"...Among all evil deeds, there is no greater sin...Looking at all evil laws, heaven and earth cannot tolerate them..."
"...The Heavenly Court has established the Minister of Heaven Fang Jian in the Tianjun Mansion of Xiniu Hezhou, who is responsible for enforcing the laws of heaven and rewarding merit and punishing sin. I hereby issue this decree to ban all Mahārāshtra temples and altars in Xiniu Hezhou."
"From the date of this decree, all Mahavairocana temples and altars in Western Niuhezhou must voluntarily change their dharma schools, and all monks must convert to other sects. No mistakes will be made. Three days later, the Western Heavenly Palace will send heavenly soldiers to inspect the four directions. Anyone who disobeys will be punished for violating the laws of heaven."
With the official issuance of a decree by Xitian Prefecture to ban all teachings of the Great Sun Sect in the mortal world, a vigorous campaign to destroy the sect began.
This campaign of destroying the Dharma affected not only the Buddhist monks of the Great Sun Sect, but also countless mortals in the mortal world who believed in the Great Sun Sect.
Those mortals who believed in the Mahavairocana sect suddenly discovered that seven of the eight Mahavairocana Bodhisattva statues they worshipped suddenly shattered, and the remaining statue of Avatamsaka Bodhisattva did not shatter, but collapsed from the shrine.

The panicked mortals didn't know what was happening. After a brief moment of panic, they all stepped forward to try to lift up the statue of Avatamsaka Bodhisattva.
But every time they propped up the statue, it would fall down for no reason. Even if they used something to support the statue, it would still fall down without any hindrance.
Just when these mortal believers were confused and frightened, an old man wearing the robes of a ninth-rank immortal official in heaven and covered in divine light appeared before them.
When the mortals in the temple saw the old man, they couldn't help but be shocked, because the old man was covered with divine light and standing in the air, and it was obvious that he was not a mortal.
At this moment, the old man said, "I am the land god of this place."
When the mortals heard this, they immediately knelt down and saluted the land god.
After the ceremony, a Mahānīyāna follower asked, "May I ask the God of Land, why are seven of the eight great bodhisattva statues broken, while the statue of Avatamsaka Bodhisattva cannot stand upright?"
The land god said, "I follow the command of the Immortal Hongqing and appear before you to tell you the details. This is because the Great Sun Sect..."
After the land god told everyone the whole story of how he banned the Great Sun Sect, all the mortals present were shocked.
"God of Land, does this mean that we can no longer believe in the Buddha and Bodhisattvas of the Mahavairocana sect?" asked another Mahavairocana believer.
The land god nodded slightly and said, "That's right. From the day I tell you this, you are no longer allowed to believe in the Great Sun Sect, and you are no longer allowed to privately build altars to worship the Great Sun Sect's gods. Otherwise, the Heavenly Court will reduce your fortune, wealth, and longevity. I hope you will take good care of yourself."
After he finished speaking, divine light flashed around the land god, and in an instant he turned into a wisp of green smoke and disappeared into the ground, leaving behind countless mortals looking at each other in bewilderment.
The scene above is happening on every inch of land in Xiniu Hezhou where there is faith in the Great Sun Sect. The mountain gods and land gods of Xiniu Hezhou have all received the decree of Fang Jian, allowing them to manifest themselves in the human world within one month and inform all the mortal believers of the Great Sun Sect that the Great Sun Sect will be banned.
