In the ancient stone city, Emperor Di Ming was furious and cursed the immortal generals in front of him.
The immortal generals lowered their heads and dared not say a word. They just stood there quietly and took the scolding.
But after Emperor Di Ming finished scolding, he was helpless. These immortal generals were all Golden Immortal cultivators, and it was impossible to kill them at will. The most he could do was to punish them.
After scolding and punishing, they still had to face reality. Emperor Di Ming said, "We haven't even fought a normal battle, but we've already lost nearly ten thousand cultivators and thirty-one formation altars. It's a shame!"
Upon hearing this, the immortal generals in the hall fell silent. Seeing that no one spoke, Emperor Di Ming spoke up, "I intend to lead my army to a decisive battle with the heavenly soldiers at Feishiyuan. What do you think?"
Hearing what Emperor Di Ming said, all the immortal generals raised their heads suddenly, and some of them looked at Emperor Di Ming in disbelief.
"A decisive battle? Your Majesty, this is absolutely impossible!" said an immortal general. "The heavenly army is powerful and outnumbers ours. For now, we should just hold our ground and not engage in battle."
Emperor Di Ming became even more angry upon hearing such defeatist remarks and rebuked, "I came here to defeat the enemy under Your Majesty's command, yet you tell me to hold on. What do you mean by that?"
The immortal general was stunned for a moment, and then continued to explain his reasoning. In general, the Yudou Heavenly Court army was at a disadvantage in the first battle, and the formation altars and foundations around the ancient stone city were damaged a lot, so it was better to just hold on and not go into battle.
Afterwards, several more immortal generals came forward to second the proposal, all advising Emperor Di Ming to hold his ground and not go into battle. Emperor Di Ming labeled them all as "defeatist counselors."
After interrupting the rhetoric of these defeatist counselors, Emperor Di Ming turned to a Golden Immortal on his right and asked, "Yan Hongda, what do you think of a decisive battle between our army and the Heavenly Soldiers at Feishiyuan?"
When Yan Hongda heard Emperor Di Ming's question, he was stunned for a moment, then looked left and right, and finally said, "Your Majesty, it is now the hour of You."
Emperor Di Ming's breath stagnated, and he immediately shouted angrily, "I asked if you could fight the Heavenly Soldiers, not what time it was!"
Yan Hongda was startled, and then quickly apologized. Emperor Di Ming asked him to continue. Yan Hongda hummed to the left, then to the right, and finally said, "Your Majesty, this... is the decisive battle in Feishiyuan? Feishiyuan is a place with bad feng shui. I took a look around when I passed by last time. It's poor and has bad water. There are no blessed places. But there are some demon cultivators there. Last time I saw a group of monkey demons brewing wine. The wine was quite fragrant..."
"Get out of here!" Emperor Di Ming was furious and pointed at the palace door and shouted at Yan Hongda.
"Yes, yes, yes." Yan Hongda's whole body trembled, his neck shrank, he bowed tremblingly to apologize, and then left the hall.
Watching Yan Hongda leave the hall, Emperor Di Ming was so angry that his face turned blue. First he was accused of being a defeatist strategist, and then he was accused of being a nonsense strategist, which made Emperor Di Ming's anger, which had already subsided, burst out again.
At this moment, the hall was completely silent. Emperor Di Ming's gaze slowly swept across the hall, finally stopping on a Golden Immortal cultivator on the left side of the hall. Emperor Di Ming's eyes lit up, and he said, "Yuan Bihai, you speak."
The Golden Immortal cultivator named Yuan Bihai was not a former Douling Sect cultivator, but joined after the establishment of Yudou Heavenly Court, so he never took the initiative to speak.
When Yuan Bihai heard Emperor Di Ming ask him to speak, he immediately stepped out of the ranks and said, "Your Majesty, I believe we should engage in a decisive battle with the heavenly soldiers of Feishiyuan."
"Oh?" Emperor Di Ming's face lit up with joy. He had finally seen his triumphalist strategist. He quickly said, "Tell me in detail."
Yuan Bihai said, "Emperor, although the Heavenly Soldiers outnumber us, they are all True Immortal cultivators. Xuanxian, Tianxian, and Jinxian only make up a small portion. My army of over 200,000 is different. Xuanxian and Tianxian are numerous. This is what we call quality over quantity. Therefore, if we engage in a decisive battle with the Heavenly Soldiers at Feishiyuan, as long as we deploy properly and work together, we will surely win."
Emperor Di Ming laughed heartily, clapped his hands and said, "Well, well, well said."
Then Emperor Di Ming asked again, "When do you think the decisive battle will take place?"
Yuan Bihai said: "Tonight."
"Tonight?" Emperor Di Ming looked slightly surprised and asked, "You mean tonight? Why?"
Yuan Bihai said, "The heavenly soldiers attacked our thirty-one formation altars today and were victorious. They must be celebrating their victory and are either unprepared or their defenses are lax. Therefore, we must mobilize our entire army tonight, deploy our formations along the way, and attack them unexpectedly. We are sure to achieve complete victory."
Upon hearing this, Emperor Di Ming nodded immediately and said, "Okay. I never thought that among all the immortal generals under my command, you are the only one who can discuss important matters with me."
Upon hearing this, Yuan Bihai couldn't help but glance to the left. Those defeatist counselors all cast hostile glances at him, but Yuan Bihai simply shrugged his shoulders, then bowed and said, "Thank you, Your Majesty, for your praise."
Emperor Di Ming then addressed the crowd, saying, "My lords, I have made up my mind. Tonight, we will mobilize our entire army to attack the Heavenly Army camp. Victory or defeat will depend on this very day. I hope all of you will unite and work together for victory."
After hearing this, those defeatist counselors wanted to persuade him again, but Emperor Di Ming raised his hand, took out his sword and placed it on the jade table in front of him.
Upon seeing this, the defeatist counselors immediately retracted their words of advice and bowed, saying, "We will obey the order."
Emperor Di Ming then said, "Yuan Bihai, Sun Zhenqing, and Huan Xi."
The two Golden Immortal cultivators who had been standing with Yuan Bihai stepped forward. The three of them bowed to Emperor Di Ming and said, "Your Majesty, I am here."
