Guanjiangkou is where rivers converge, with mountains on three sides and the towering Shu Mountains at the back.
The Shu Mountains here do not refer to a single mountain, but a huge mountain range stretching across the entire Shu area, collectively known as the "Shu Mountains", including Mount Emei, which is also part of the Shu Mountains.
In Mount Shu, there are countless monsters and rare beasts, and beautiful flowers and plants grow everywhere. What’s more, the most numerous of them are blessed caves, fairy mountains and divine palaces.
Since ancient times, if one wants to seek immortality, learn Taoism, refine elixirs and collect herbs, Mount Shu is the place that must be visited.
The Guanjiangkou is located right in the middle of the Shu Mountains, shaped like a jade-colored key, guarding the gateway to the central part of the Shu Mountains.
People say that the road to Shu is difficult, and the road to Shu Mountain is even more difficult. First of all, the outer area of Shu Mountain is almost entirely cliffs, which are extremely difficult for mortals to climb. If you want to enter Shu Mountain, the best way is to go into the mountain through Guanjiangkou.
If you want to go through Guanjiangkou into the mountains, there is a temple that you cannot avoid, that is the Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun Temple, also known as the "Erlang Zhenjun" Temple.
It is said that hundreds of thousands of years ago, there were demons everywhere in Shu, disasters were endless, and the people were living in misery.
At this time, a Taoist priest came to Shu, suppressed demons, cured diseases, and saved all living beings. Finally, he founded a Taoist sect in Shu, teaching the "Zhengyi Mengwei Dao", commonly known as the "Five Pecks of Rice Dao". He also built a Taoist temple in Qingcheng Mountain, named "Qingcheng Mountain Temple".
And this Taoist is Zhang Daoling, also known as 'Zhang Tianshi'.
But after Zhang Tianshi ascended to heaven and was conferred the title of Heavenly Master, because the later descendants of the Five Pecks of Rice Sect had not yet achieved spiritual cultivation, they could only protect the living beings within a thousand miles radius of Qingcheng Mountain.
At this time, the demons and ferocious beasts made a comeback, so Erlang Shen volunteered to open a Taoist temple at Guanjiangkou and guard the central gate of Shushan.
Since Erlang Shen opened up his Taoist temple in Guanjiangkou, there have been no more demons above the level of True Immortal causing trouble in the entire Shu Plain. At most, there are only some small demons and monsters causing trouble.
Erlang Shen naturally disdained to pay attention to these little demons and monsters, so the major sects in Shu, including Qingcheng Mountain, took up swords to eliminate the demons, and gradually formed a unique way of practice for the Shushan monks.
Because Shu is located in the southwest of the Tang Dynasty, transportation with the outside world is inconvenient and all kinds of monsters and demons appear frequently, so the monks in Shu focus on the cultivation of physical martial arts, which is different from the monks in other places who focus on cultivating their minds.
Later, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva established a temple in Mount Emei, and the number of demons and monsters in the plains of Shu became fewer and fewer, and most of them gathered in the vast Shu Mountains.
This is normal. The three major forces of Taoism, Buddhism and Heaven have gathered in the entire Shu area, taking turns to attack these demons. No one can withstand it.
...
At this moment, deep in the Shu Mountains, a loud and high-pitched dog barking echoed through thousands of mountains and rivers, startling countless birds and beasts.
In an instant, a majestic and ferocious divine dog with white hair, a thin waist, a snow-white body, and long legs appeared. It stepped on the wind and clouds, and with its tremendous divine power, it drove out the monsters from the thousands of mountains and valleys.
Most of the monsters were trembling under the power of the white-haired divine dog, but some of them were still fleeing in the wind.
The white-haired divine dog ignored the trembling monsters, but instead chased after the fleeing monsters.
The worst of these monsters are at the level of Xuanxian, but because they have not yet developed intelligence, they are unable to transform into demon cultivators.
They are still driven by their most primitive animal instincts, and from time to time they rush out of Shushan to wreak havoc on the mortal world.
I saw the white-haired divine dog flying in the sky and hiding in the ground, looking very majestic. Just this one dog could chase away dozens of monsters and leave them with nowhere to hide.
When these monsters were chased to a mountain ridge by the white-haired divine dog, they saw a handsome man in yellow clothes, with a flying hairpin in his hair. He was tall and handsome, with a majestic vertical eye on his forehead. He held a blue dragon-carved bow in his left hand and a phoenix-feather gold-lacquered quiver on his waist.
The man looked at the monsters rushing towards him from the mountains and sky in front of him, and immediately drew his bow and drew his arrow.
After hearing a few "whoosh" sounds, the arrow with green shaft and golden feather suddenly turned into a meteor and flew out.
The next moment, the monsters with the cultivation level of Xuanxian and Taiyi Xuanxian fell down one after another. The arrows penetrated the bodies of those monsters with extremely hard flesh like cutting tofu. Amidst the blood splattering in the sky, those monsters died one after another and fell like raindrops.
At this time, the man retracted the precious carved bow, raised his right hand and waved it, and immediately hundreds of grass-headed gods with the level of Xuanxian Taoism emerged from behind him and flew straight towards the place where the monsters fell.
Just a moment later, the hundreds of grass-headed gods returned to the ridge carrying more than a dozen huge corpses of monsters.
"Grandpa, you have excellent archery skills!" A grass-headed god praised, "With only six arrows, you killed six Taiyi Xuanxian monsters. Now, we can have a good meal again."
The man smiled faintly, then raised his hand and waved. A loud dog barking was heard, and then the handsome white-haired dog flew to the man on the blue cloud, stuck out its tongue, and asked for credit from the man with an expectant look.
The man casually took out a fragrant elixir and threw it over. The white-haired divine dog immediately jumped up and swallowed it.
After the white-haired divine dog swallowed the elixir, it immediately lay down at the man's feet with a look of enjoyment and began to absorb the medicinal power.
This elixir is the favorite of the white-haired divine dog. It is made from the lotus seeds of the Three Wonderful Golden Lotus of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. The man exchanged seven lotus seeds from Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and refined twelve furnaces of elixirs, a total of 1,200 elixirs.
but...
"There are only thirty of these elixirs left, enough for you to eat them another thirty times." The man said slowly.
Upon hearing this, the white-haired divine dog immediately raised its head, opened its eyes wide and looked at the man pitifully, and let out bursts of heart-wrenching whimpers.
