Chapter 107 Never Retreat

Duan Tianchan pointed his finger at Long Yi's nose and began to curse.

"You hypocritical old man, even now you still dare to spout nonsense!"

"Long Yi, you old scoundrel, put away your hypocrisy! I, Qingmu Peak, won't fall for that!"

Being insulted like this by a junior, Long Yi's old face turned completely gloomy.

"Since you, Qingmufeng, are so ungrateful, I might as well make my point clearer."

With a wave of his hand, his powerful aura, unique to the Dragon Marrow Realm, swept across the entire arena.

In an instant, the expressions of all the disciples of Qingmu Peak present changed drastically, as if a towering mountain was pressing down on their bodies.

The few with lower cultivation levels knelt on the ground, clutching their chests, with blood even flowing from their mouths.

"Hua Yuncang was not in seclusion to break through, but was seriously injured and had to go into seclusion to recuperate."

"Five years ago, he was ambushed while traveling, and his foundation was damaged. If he hadn't gone into seclusion in time, he probably would have died long ago."

Upon hearing Long Yi's words, the disciples of Qingmu Peak looked at each other in disbelief.

"I will only say this once: if anyone still wants to leave Greenwood Peak, my Crimson Cloud Peak can forgive past grievances and give you a chance to abandon darkness and embrace the light."

"But if we don't seize this opportunity, hmph..."

"From this day forward, there will be no more Greenwood Peak on Sword Screen Mountain!"

Long Yi said sternly.

These words moved many disciples of Qingmu Peak, and some of them even became restless.

"snort!"

Duan Tianchan gave a soft snort, instantly silencing all other sounds.

The next moment, an equally powerful aura spread out from him.

With his aura protecting them, the pressure on the disciples of Qingmu Peak was greatly reduced.

"oh?"

A look of surprise appeared in Long Yi's eyes.

"Duan Tianchan, I really underestimated you."

"I didn't expect you to have already touched the threshold of the Dragon Marrow Realm, just one step away from breaking through."

"What?! Senior Brother is about to break through to the Dragon Marrow Realm!"

"Senior Brother is amazing."

"So Senior Brother Tianchan has been hiding his true abilities all along."

The disciples of Qingmu Peak started whispering among themselves again.

Long Yi shook her head gently and said with a regretful tone.

"Unfortunately, you will never have the chance to break through to the Dragon Marrow Realm in your lifetime."

His eyes sharpened instantly, and a surge of spiritual energy gathered around him.

The next moment, flames engulfed Long Yi.

In the firelight, the old man narrowed his eyes, a cold light flashing within them.

"I'll only say this once: get out of the way, or die!"

"Tianchan would rather die than retreat."

Duan Tianchan stood tall and straight, his green robe fluttering in the strong wind.

His body was filled with flowing spiritual energy, forming a faint blue halo.

"Fine, then go die."

With a flick of Long Yi's fingertips, streaks of fire roared out of the void, rushing straight towards the solemn-faced youth opposite him.

Wherever the fire dragon passed, the space seemed to be burned through, leaving behind charred marks. The air became distorted and scorching hot, making it suffocating.

"Disciples below the Serpent Core Realm, all of you, get out of the way!"

Duan Tianchan roared and then quickly formed hand seals.

In an instant, the ground surged, and countless emerald green vines burst forth from the soil.

They are robust and tough, with a faint fluorescent coating on their surface.

The vines intertwined into a dense, impenetrable net, flexibly coiling and twisting, attempting to keep the raging flames out.

The flames sizzled the moment they touched the vines.

Duan Tianchan's expression changed slightly, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

Flames licked the vines, spreading rapidly and turning them charred black.

The fluorescence on the vines gradually dimmed, and under the scorching heat of the flames, they began to curl and dry up, eventually turning into ashes and scattering in the wind.

The air was filled with the pungent smell of burnt earth and the aroma of burning grass; the two contrasting smells intertwined to create an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.

"Haha, not bad, not bad."

Long Yi looked relaxed and said casually.

"I never expected that you, with your peak Snake Core Realm cultivation, could unleash such power."

"If you were to truly break through to the Dragon Marrow Realm, you would probably become a formidable enemy of my Crimson Cloud Peak."

He was in a good mood.

For Long Yi, personally destroying a hidden genius like Duan Tianchan was something to be very happy about.

"Stop struggling. Submit to my Crimson Cloud Peak now, and I can give you the position of elder."

"You old scoundrel, shut your stinking mouth!"

Duan Tianchan roared, veins bulging on his forehead, sweat dripping down his cheeks and onto the scorching ground, where it evaporated instantly.

His eyes gleamed with unyielding determination, and his hands moved faster and faster as he formed hand seals.

Long Yi watched him fight desperately with disdain, as if he were looking at an insect.

"You ungrateful brat, then I'll just have to send you on your way."

The flames grew fiercer, and the fire dragon roared as it repeatedly rammed into the fragile vine barrier.

Finally, with a deafening roar, the vine defense line collapsed completely, and the fire dragon charged straight in, heading straight for the young man.

Feeling the intense heat that could melt even a magical artifact rushing towards him, a hint of resentment flashed in Duan Tianchan's eyes.

Crimson flames eroded every inch of the ground, seemingly capable of devouring everything.

"As expected, it still doesn't work."

He was really unwilling to accept it.

"I was just one step away. If I had broken through to the Dragon Marrow Realm, I could have stopped them from destroying Greenwood Peak and from harming the Sect Leader."
