Chapter 14: Is it okay to be the first author of a top journal in Mathematics for over 10 years old?

After the New Year's Eve party, Xiao Zhen really became the darling of Wujiaochang. After fully discussing with Luo Jiawen and Uncle Zeng, he decided to use the "fishing" method to catch the group of people who wanted to kidnap him.

Xiao Zhen rode his little panda again. It was almost the end of the semester. During the semester, Xiao Zhen had established contact and communication with a mathematician from MIT who was introduced to him by Jason's brother's family.

This is of course the result of paying $200,000 a year in academic guidance and consulting fees. They can't help for free.

In mid-December, Xiao Zhen also sent a paper on the Poincaré conjecture to Mathematics.

This was confirmed repeatedly by Professor Ross and a group of top mathematicians at MIT, indicating that someone has solved this century-old problem.

This incident has caused a great sensation in the American Mathematical Society. Everyone wants to bring this genius to their school to study. However, when they heard that the child was really only 9 years and 4 months old, they were even more eager to try.

After completing the review process, it was published in the top journal "Mathematics" in January.

After finishing his final exams, Xiao Zhen was taken by Principal Yu to Fudan University to apply for entry and exit permits for people and red pandas, and also to the library to apply for a library card.

Fudan University has always had a lot of international exchanges, and it was the first to receive the news that a student from the Fudan High School Affiliated to Shanghai, China, had solved the Poincare conjecture. The paper on the results has been published in the January issue of "Mathematics" magazine.

It happened to be the day when Xiao Zhen received his notice to go on winter vacation. During the Chinese language test, his pen leaked a drop of ink, so he lost 1 point on the test paper. However, he was still No. 1 in the second grade of junior high school in Shanghai.

Xiao Zhen took his report card and award certificate and was walking towards the school gate when he was stopped by the breathless Teacher Wu and taken to Principal Yu's office.

Xiao Zhen then learned that his paper had been approved and published. He also explained how he had established a connection with Professor Ross of MIT.

Principal Yu looked at the 9-year-old child and thought that the child was still too young, but he still had to report it.

So Fudan University and Fudan High School reported to the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education respectively that it was a fact that the Poincare conjecture was solved by Xiao Zhen, a student in Class 2, Grade 2 of Fudan High School.

It also explains how the instructor, Professor Ross of MIT, established an academic learning relationship with Xiao Zhen.

On the other hand, Fudan High School reported to the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission that Xiao Zhen had solved the century-old problem of the Poincare conjecture, and published the result in the world's most authoritative academic journal, Mathematics.

This report went directly to the hands of Uncle Yang, the new person Xiao Zhen had met. Uncle Yang asked his secretary to ask the head of the Municipal Education Commission to drive with him to Xiao Zhen's home in Wujiaochang to ask him directly.

Secretary Old Yang called Xiao Zhen's home first. When Old Zhang heard that it was the child, Uncle Yang, he knew that it was the leader who had opened the door to his home last time.

Old Zhang immediately called Luo Jiawen and asked Xiao Zhen, who was reading in the library, to come back first. Luo Jiawen did not dare to delay and went directly to the library to find Xiao Zhen who was writing and drawing enthusiastically.

After writing a note and knocking on the desk, Xiao Zhen read the note and packed up his things to leave early. He couldn't be so stupid as to let Uncle Yang wait for him.

Xiao Zhen and his group of people arrived at Xiao Zhen's home in Wujiaochang in two cars, just like his uncle Yang.

Just as he finished brewing the tea, his Uncle Yang and two others arrived.

"Xinzhen, why didn't you tell me last time that you were working on solving difficult math problems?" Uncle Yang said with some resentment.

"Uncle Yang, please take a seat, both uncles. Uncle Yang, please have some tea.

It was only then that I wrote the paper and sent it to Mathematics magazine.

I can't just say anything when nothing is said. It's not scientific. Xiao Zhen explained.

"That's right, what have you been doing recently? I've already had my holiday. Uncle Yang asked

"I've been studying in the library of Fudan University recently, mainly reading books on physics, chemistry and biology.

Most of the time last year was spent strengthening and consolidating the math knowledge I learned.

Professor Ross from Massachusetts also said that mathematics is the foundation of all scientific research, so he spent the whole year last year on this.

I got advice on solving the problem from Professor Ross, the younger brother of my coach Jason, who is also a professor at MIT and my supervisor.

I should also check my academic performance after studying for half a year. How could such a small matter alarm you, old man? " Xiao Zhen talked about the cause and effect of solving the Poincare conjecture.

"This is Director Peng from the Municipal Education Commission. Your principal Yu has submitted a report to me.

I think Director Peng should go to the School of Mathematics at Fudan University to discuss finding a time to hold an academic conference on Xiao Zhen. Uncle Yang arranged

"That's as it should be. Xiao Zhen, don't be too modest and speak openly about your academic achievements. Basic science doesn't allow for modesty!" Director Peng said.

"Then you can go down and discuss with Fudan University and have the academic symposium held in the auditorium of the affiliated high school. These are their students, so hold it in the affiliated high school.

"You should also prepare well, little town. Uncle Yang has something else to do, so we won't have dinner here today. Study hard and train well!" Uncle Yang said, and left with Director Peng of the Education Committee and his secretary.

When leaving, Lao Zhang took a few boxes of tea and sent them to the leader's car, saying that the tea was not valuable. It was the first crop of tea from the old tea trees transplanted from Mr. Xiao's own tea garden invested in Yunnan. Let's try it!

The next day, media outlets including Dazhong Daily, Education Daily, and Shanghai Daily reported that Xiao Zhen, a student in Class 2, Grade 2 of Fudan High School Affiliated to Shanghai, had successfully solved the world-class mathematical problem, the Poincare Conjecture.

At present, relevant academic papers have been published in the top international academic journal "Mathematics".
