Chapter 37: Xiao Zhen established an academician workstation at Chongqing University. Wen Dalu did not survive 2015.

Xiao Zhen, Xie Chengrun, Zhennan and Zhenbei took an hour and a half to prepare dinner. They waited for half an hour before the dogs drove back.

"Are you buying so much? Hurry up and finish your meal, then go to Wenjiawan to see the old man." Xiao Zhen said, and then he helped to move the goods.

The whole family was moving goods when another truck of IKEA goods arrived, and there was another busy period. Xiao Zhen gave a bag of Chinese noodles to the delivery driver and then invited the family to have dinner.

After dinner, they drove four cars to Wenjia Bay. When they arrived, the family of nearly 200 people had made the Wen family's old house bustling with activity.

Looking at the four big stoves built in the yard, it was a good thing that we ate from the fork in the road.

"Grandpa, I'm back, we're all back!" Xiao Zhen got out of the car and ran to the sunroom, holding his grandfather's hand and saying

"Have Zhendong, Zhenzhong and their mother returned?" Wen Dalu's mind was still clear, but he was a little breathless when he spoke.

"Here they come, Sarah, Reina, bring the children over to have a good look at their great-grandfather!" Xiao Zhen didn't care whether Xiao Xie's face was good or not. It was already a fact.

"Hello great-grandfather, I am Osa Xiaozhendong! This is my mother Sarah." Osa is older and his Chinese pronunciation is more standard than his mother's.

"Good boy, study hard!" Wen Dalu nodded and said

"Hello great-grandfather, I'm Xiao Zhenzhong, this is my mother, Reina, and I'm the sixth child!" Odin also squatted and said

"You're all good kids. You should study hard and strive to win a Nobel Prize like your father and uncle." Wen Dalu said with a smile...

The old man was tired after staying in the sunroom for a short time due to physical reasons. Xiao Zhen and his cousin Wenming helped the old man to the bedroom. His aunt and several daughters changed their father's clothes and tucked in the quilt. His aunt and cousin Wenying watched over the old man until he fell asleep.

The others were talking in low voices in the sunroom. The youngest, Tang Weizhong, was already nodding his head. Xiao Zhengtang asked his daughters-in-law and Xiao Jin to take the children back to the fork in the road to rest.

Zhennan, Zhenbei and Ivanka stayed behind, and Xie Chengrun returned to the fork in the road. Xiao Zhengtang was afraid that his old comrades would know that he was back and would come to visit his home, so Xie Chengrun and Xiao Jin were responsible for entertaining the visitors.

It was two o'clock in the morning when Xiao Zhen drove back with Ivanka and his two sons. His father and mother had to stay there.

After breakfast the next day, the old classmate brought people from the municipal government, the Education Commission and Chongqing University to the fork in the road. After some communication, Xiao Zhen also agreed to go to Chongqing University to give lectures in the next few days since his grandfather was still in good health.

Xiao Zhen gave his respect to the municipal government and Chongqing University's proposal to establish an academician workstation.

After learning that Xiao Zhen was hired by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he asked if he was willing to supervise one or two doctoral students from Chongqing University every year.

Xiao Zhen said that as long as he passed the test, he would accept applications from majors in physics, semiconductors, computer science, and materials science, and would be considered a student jointly trained by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chongqing University.

This is already a great honor to his hometown. Xiao Zhen has never been a teacher. His philosophy is to rather have nothing than to have someone of poor quality, and he has very high requirements.

He wanted to bring his second son to live with him and teach him, but the child was grown up, and Zhenbei just wanted to be alone.

He was tired of being with his older brother since he was a child, and his older brother was too steady, which was the exact opposite of his personality.

Xiao Zhen started his daily routine of going to and from school. He took his two older sons and drove to Wenjia Bay to check in after breakfast every day. Then the three of them drove to Shapingba to attend classes and guide doctoral students in experimental research. He also started a new research direction. This guy is studying microwave directed energy.

At 3:00 p.m., I called my two sons and drove back to Wenjia Bay. About 200 people accompanied Wen Dalu, whose complexion was still much rosier, to have dinner, drink tea and chat.

Wen Dalu was very happy at this time when he saw a dozen little kids running and playing wildly in the yard.

After two days of rain on the 20th, the weather cleared up. In the morning, Xiao Zhen brought his two sons to Wenjia Bay to report for duty as usual.

However, after greeting him, Wen Dalu did not allow him to go to work today. Xiao Zhen knew that his grandfather had been recovering in the past ten days. Xiao Zhen agreed and asked Zhennan to drive back to pick him up and make preparations.

Turning to the other side of the courtyard, he ran into his two uncles, his father, and several of his uncles, who said gravely, "Grandpa might die today!"

After Zhennan returned to the fork in the road to notify the main force, they soon arrived at Wenjia Bay. That morning, Wen Dalu called each family to the sun room, holding hands and talking to them one by one.

Near noon, he asked his uncle to call the photographer to take a family photo. After a lot of trouble, the old man suddenly said: "He saw his wife coming to pick him up!"

Then her hands went limp in the hands of my uncle and aunt, "Dad!" My aunt couldn't hold back and knelt down and burst into tears.

Xiao Zhen's aunts and his mother burst into tears, and Xiao Jin supported his mother with tears in his eyes.

Xiao Zhen cried silently. His grandparents had loved him so much since he was a child. They had been with him throughout his elementary and junior high school years. Xiao Zhen had a very good and deep relationship with them.

The older one cried, and the younger one followed suit. His father, with red eyes, pulled his eldest and second uncles, and then several men in the family went to arrange the funeral.

Xiao Zhen evacuated first with his wife and children, while his aunt's daughters had to clean and change his grandfather's burial clothes.

The one who cried the most was Wen Yun. His father and mother were divorced, and his grandparents raised him until he went to high school before they insisted on returning to Wenjia Bay to retire.

After a burst of crackling firecrackers, all the neighbors knew that the oldest man in the neighborhood, Mr. Wen, had passed away.

Not long after the firecrackers were set off, the chefs for the buffet, the masters of rituals, and the masters of making paper carts and paper figurines arrived one after another, as did the traditional suona band.
