Chapter 4: Development of two stealth sub-projects completed May Fourth Youth Medal

Huamei Aerospace's CM949 was originally planned to be the 939, but after a thorough market investigation, 300 seats were deemed inadequate. International airlines are planning to purchase more wide-body aircraft with more than 400 seats that can carry more passengers, have a longer flight distance, and be more fuel-efficient. The spacious version of the 949 has 450 seats, while the compact version can carry 520 seats.

For safety reasons, Huamei Aerospace has designed a safety setting with 4 main engines and 2 auxiliary engines. Normally, the auxiliary engines are turned off.

Once the main engine fails, the auxiliary engine will immediately take over and the aircraft can cruise for 1,000 kilometers, greatly increasing safety.

The auxiliary engine also uses a full protective shell so that birds cannot hit it. The composite shell will be automatically discarded when the auxiliary engine is started.

Compared with the same-level engines of Boeing, Airbus and Il, the new engine saves 15%-26% of fuel. This is another market competitive trump card for Huamei Aerospace's wide-body passenger aircraft.

On average, it is US$15 million to US$30 million cheaper than the overall price of wide-body aircraft on the market or in pre-research, and the gross profit of an order of 100 aircraft is much higher than that of competitors.

By the end of February, China Aerospace had received 65 overseas orders for its CM949 wide-body aircraft. Of course, China gave priority to purchasing the 949 aircraft, but some airlines also purchased from the other two countries. However, the senior executives of these airlines were investigated one after another.

All the ship plates used are the large flat-top special ship plates from Huaguang Heavy Industry, which are internal special versions. The international versions are all purchased by Americans from Huaguang Heavy Industry.

Huaguang Ocean is currently manufacturing the third small flat-top ship for the order. The first two were ordered by the UK and Australia respectively, and the third one is for the mainland.
