The first one to be praised was of course Land Rover Aerospace's third-generation Ares multi-role air superiority fighter, which had been exported to 12 countries at that time.
Led by Land Rover Defence and Aerospace Research Institute and Shenyang Aerospace Research Institute, the Air Force version of the Ares was finalized after three years of modification. The verification aircraft was pulled into the wind tunnel group and modified again and again, and finally it was finalized as J15A in 2001.
Subsequent improvements were fully handled by Shen Huoyi in Northeast China, but Xiao Zhengtang's Land Rover Aerospace held 70% of the copyright. Land Rover Aerospace withdrew from the carrier-based aircraft project and received the full research and design fee, but according to the rules, it would have to pay 12 million in patent usage fees for each future aircraft produced.
By April this year, the mainland's own large platform had emerged, and two carrier-based aircraft aviation divisions and nearly 200 carrier-based aircraft pilots had been trained.
The 48 carrier-based aircraft pilots on duty on board can be said to be the elite of Chinese pilots, and 40% of them have been awarded the Gold Helmet.
It took nearly three and a half years from empty load to various sea trials. This was necessary because it was the first time in China and there were no complex sea conditions, so we had to verify each project one by one.
The international community has always ridiculed China's first large flat-top aircraft carrier, which has a ship but no aircraft. However, when the heavy carrier-based aircraft J15B, which came out in November 2003, conducted landing tests in the Yellow Sea, everyone was shocked.
From that day on, some of the 88 fleets were very well-behaved, and in April this year they were equipped with the newly modified heavy carrier-based aircraft J15C in navy gray.
There is also an integrated mast, equipped with a phased array marine radar array developed and produced by Hongtu Innovation Industrial Company. People thought it was a paint company, but finally its true identity was revealed: it is an advanced military radar company.
Coating materials and car paint are just side businesses of the civilian product unit that earns money for the powerful cadres and employees of the 111th Institute.
Hongtu Innovation Industrial Company's main business is to be an integrator of various types of electronic warfare equipment and military systems, a designer and manufacturer of new radar equipment, and finally the world's largest automotive paint R&D and production company.
Xiao Zhen founded Hongtu and then left Hongtu. According to the guidance of the military, he acquired Hongtu. In that major acquisition of China Airlines, Hongtu was actually an extra.
Unexpectedly, within four years of Xiao Zhen taking over again, he developed a world-leading phased array shipborne radar array.
Xiao Zhen, Xiao Zhengtang and his son, as well as Uncle Liu Jun and Luo Jiawen were invited to attend the official induction ceremony.
Today at the Dalyan dock, with drums and gongs blaring and red flags flying, the large flat-top ship with the hull number 16 and named "Liaoning" was unveiled for the first time in its official majestic appearance.

The guests and builders reviewed the completed aircraft carrier formation together. The aircraft carrier formation headed by the Liaoning will go south for training, stopping in Shanghai, Xiamen, Gangcheng, Macau, Sanya and the newly independent East Timor along the way.
The tickets for the public visiting the ports along the way will be issued after passing the necessary inspection. Each port will be docked for 3 days, and it is expected that each city will receive 100,000 visitors.
Four years after retiring, Xiao Zhen and Lao Qin represented the Hongtu Innovation Research Institute at a commendation meeting and won the first-class collective merit and second-class individual merit honors.
His father Xiao Zhengtang's Land Rover Defense was awarded the honor of "National Advanced Demonstration Unit for Military-Civilian Cooperation in Hong Kong and Macao" because of its registered place and international business. Xiao Zhengtang declined the "First Class Merit" honor awarded to him.
However, relevant leaders took the initiative to ask Land Rover Defense to actively participate in the modernization of national defense. After the meeting, Land Rover Defense received a national order for 108 fourth-generation Ares E multi-purpose fighter jets from the mainland.
