Chapter 64
Gu Qingyue lay on his knees, her long, freshly washed hair fanning across his lap, scented with mint. She cupped his face with both hands, looked up at him, and said, "Kiss me."
Gu Hengsheng ruffled her long hair with his hands, smiled slightly, and said, "Qingyue, this position is quite challenging."
Hearing this, she rose from the sofa and knelt beside him. Gu Hengsheng held her and sat her on his lap. She sat astride him like a child. He cupped her face and kissed her lips. Her mouth was filled with the sweet, sour aroma of oranges.
Compared to the kiss in the car earlier, this kiss had a slightly more hormonal quality. They started out by kissing softly while sitting, and gradually evolved into Gu Qingyue being gently pressed against the armrest of the sofa, his hand still firmly gripping her waist. However, Gu Qingyue felt as if his hand on her waist was a red-hot iron, burning all the way to her heart.
As her breathing became heavier, Gu Hengsheng restrained himself and distanced himself from her. Gu Qingyue was breathing slightly, and Gu Hengsheng got up from her, sat on the sofa, and calmed himself down.
Gu Qingyue was lying on the armrest, wearing a white bathrobe. Her eyes were on his face. His white shirt was no longer as smooth and fitting as before, but had several wrinkles on it, just like their mood at the moment, like a lake with ripples caused by a stone being thrown into it, and both of them were trying their best to restore the lake to its calm state.
Gu Qingyue thought of what her fingers had accidentally touched just now, and she felt as if her face was on fire, burning all the way up. Gu Hengsheng took the glass on the coffee table and drank two sips of water.
Gu Qingyue's cheeks were still red. She stood up from the sofa, reached out to touch a mulberry, and put it into her mouth. It was juicy. Gu Qingyue took one and fed it to Gu Hengsheng. Dark purple juice remained on her fingertips. Gu Qingyue subconsciously sucked on her fingers until Gu Hengsheng's eyes fell on her face, or more precisely, on her lips. The emotion in his eyes was unclear. Gu Qingyue realized it later, and her face felt inexplicably hot. She withdrew her hand.
Gu Hengsheng sighed softly, feeling somewhat helpless.
Gu Qingyue pushed the hair that had fallen on her cheek behind her ear, pursed her lips as if nothing had happened, and suggested to him considerately: "Do you want to take a shower?"
Gu Hengsheng put his phone on the coffee table, smiled, and said, "I'm going to take a shower."
He stood up and placed his phone on the coffee table. Gu Qingyue pointed at the phone and said jokingly, "Is this where you put your phone?"
"What's the problem?" He was confused.
"Aren't you afraid that I'll peek?" Her expression held a hint of childish mischief, but she didn't really mean to peek.
"I'd be happy if you watched it," he said with a smile.
Gu Qingyue was surprised. When he entered the bathroom and heard the sound of running water, she finally understood what he meant. Gu Qingyue leaned on the sofa, her lips curled up happily, but she didn't touch Gu Hengsheng's phone. There was no need to do so.
The phone screen lit up, and a new message popped up on WeChat. It was a message from Song Xiaoshu, saying that they owed each other nothing.
Gu Qingyue didn't reply to his message. Two minutes later, he sent another message: [You don't have to be angry. I'm just testing his attitude for you.]
Gu Qingyue stared at the message in a daze for a while.
Gu Hengsheng came out of the bathroom and saw Gu Qingyue leaning against the armrest, staring blankly at her phone. Gu Hengsheng sat down next to her and said, "What are you looking at?"
"Song Xiaoshu sent a message." Gu Qingyue said truthfully.
Gu Hengsheng paused for a moment as he wiped his hair. Then, he looked at her, uttered an "oh" slowly, and asked, "What did he say?"
Gu Qingyue got up from the sofa, moved closer to him, held the phone to his eyes, and said, "Take a look."
Gu Hengsheng glanced at it lightly and smiled.
Gu Qingyue lay on his shoulder, touching the hair behind his ear bone with her hand. There were water stains on her fingertips. Gu Qingyue suddenly discovered that there was a small mole on the skin behind his ear. It was very small and very hidden, as if it had been accidentally stained by the ink of a black signing pen. But it could only be seen when she was so close. Thinking of this, she felt a little happier. She said in a tone of surprise, as if she had discovered a new world: "Hey, there is a black mole behind your ear."
Her voice was a little sweet, and she didn't even notice it.
"Really?" Gu Hengsheng raised his hand and touched his ear.
"Don't you know?" Gu Qingyue asked curiously.
"Hmm." Gu Hengsheng said, "What kind?"
"It's very small, like it was dotted with a felt-tip pen," she added. "You can only see it if you get this close."
Gu Hengsheng casually placed the towel on the coffee table. Gu Qingyue snuggled up to his shoulder, her warm breath tickling the skin of his neck. "What do you think Uncle Song and the others will think?"
"Curious?" He turned his head to look at her, and the two of them got very close, their breaths almost touching.
Gu Qingyue blinked her eyelashes, and she felt her cheeks slowly rising layer by layer of heat. Her eyes lingered on his jaw, and she nodded and said, "A little."
Gu Hengsheng said: "Maybe he was a little surprised at first, but he didn't dare to say much."
Gu Qingyue uttered a soft "oh" and played with the collar of his clothes with her fingers. She lowered her eyes and said casually, "I have to go back to Huai City tomorrow. My mother is urging me to go back."
"Have you booked the plane ticket?" He picked up the water cup on the coffee table and took a sip, then handed it to her mouth and fed her a sip.
"I've booked a flight for tomorrow afternoon." Gu Qingyue pursed her lips and glared at him, feeling a little embarrassed. "Don't you understand what I mean?"
"Qingyue, you should know how much I want you." He stared at her and said gently, "But this is not an appropriate occasion, at least not in a hotel."
Gu Qingyue couldn't help but think of the passion they had on the sofa half an hour ago. Her face turned red, like a red lantern hanging under the eaves, or a ripe apple.
Gu Hengsheng held her face and kissed her again. Qingyue said, "When I watched TV dramas before, I thought I couldn't accept kisses between lovers. I was worried about how to politely refuse my lover if he wanted to kiss me in the future. I also thought that I must find someone I really like in the future before I can accept kissing him."
Gu Hengsheng smiled: "Why?"
"I feel a little bit." She thought for a moment and used a slightly more appropriate word, "Not very clean."
"What now?" he asked, looking at her.
"Now I feel like I'm tasting a piece of candy, and this candy is easily addictive." She paused for a moment, looked at him, and said slowly, "Maybe it's because you gave it to me."
