Chapter 301: Your Highness doesn't worship Buddha, why do you climb my window every night? (4) (2/2)

"Master has helped me so much, I must thank him very much." She seemed to have thought of something, took out a silk handkerchief, and picked out some petals.

"Wash these and make some shallow incense holders."

"Find the incense we brought, spread the osmanthus flowers on the bottom of the bowl, and take it to the front hall for offering," she instructed. "Remember to give it to the young monk who helped us yesterday."

Chen Bi wrote down everything and left with the petals.

When she arrived, Shen Zhiyi had already borrowed the small kitchen in the temple, cooked a pot of sweet soup, and put a bowl of it in the food box.

Chen Bi was a little confused.

"If you want to give Master Kongchen something, why not find something unique and special?"

"Why are you looking for the sweet-scented osmanthus flowers that can be seen everywhere in this temple?"

Shen Zhiyi picked up the food box and said with a smile: "It would be better if it can be seen everywhere."

"We won't be here long. If we bring osmanthus flowers or something related to osmanthus flowers every time we appear, Master Kongchen will remember it."

"When the time comes, he will think of me when he sees the osmanthus flowers."

"I can be seen everywhere in the temple. Doesn't that mean you will miss me at any time?"

Chen Bi was impressed, "Young lady, that's a good idea."

"But why did you send that young master?"

Shen Zhiyi lifted her skirt and pulled it out.

"Master Kongchen is very wary. If we give it to him alone, he will doubt our true intentions."

"Instead, they'll rush us down the mountain as quickly as possible."

Besides, she had another intention.

Shen Zhiyi’s eyes sparkled, but he didn’t explain to Shen Bi any further.

Soon, they arrived at Yan Zhuoxu's meditation room.

Shen Zhiyi stood outside the door and looked at the sun.

When the time was almost up and he guessed that Yan Zhuoxu had finished his meditation, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.

Knock knock knock——

"Who is it?" A cold voice came from inside the door.

Shen Zhiyi paused and said softly, “Master Kongchen, it’s me.”

The room was silent for a moment.

Then, the door was opened.

Yan Zhuoxu lowered his eyes and looked at the petite figure shrouded in the morning light, his throat moving slightly.

"What?"

Shen Zhiyi picked up the food box, a smile spreading across his lips: "Master's medicine worked very quickly, I'm much better today."

"To thank you, Master, I specially made a bowl of sweet soup. Please enjoy it."

She looked into the house. "Can I come in?"

She was not dressed as simply today as she was yesterday.

Instead, she was wearing a goose yellow soft satin with a soft skirt embroidered with a few clusters of light golden osmanthus buds. When the wind blew, it gently stuck to the sides of her legs, looking very soft and beautiful.

There was a red ribbon hanging around her waist, tied with a wish-fulfilling knot, which made her slender waist seem even tighter than before.

Yan Zhuoxu looked at her smiling face and pressed the beads in his palm with his thumb.

He paused for a moment and pointed to the ground beside him.

"Just put it here."

Shen Zhiyi did not overstep the bounds, nodded, and bent down to put the food box down.

"Then I won't bother you, Master."

"I will be leaving the mountain today. I am deeply grateful for your kindness, Master. I will remember it for the rest of my life."

She saluted and turned to leave.

But when no one was around, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

Chen Bi had already delivered the news to His Majesty's secret guards yesterday. By now, the road down the mountain must have been blocked.

She has a place to stay in this temple.

She walked briskly, getting farther and farther away.

Yan Zhuoxu stood in the corner and twisted his Buddhist beads a few more times before bending down and opening the food box.

It's a bowl of osmanthus and red bean soup.

A sweet aroma hits your nose.

He suddenly remembered the cluster of osmanthus buds at the corner of Shen Zhiyi's skirt.

The fingertips moved.

Just as he was about to pick up the bowl of soup, a young monk passed by.

"Hey, Master Kongchen, you also have this soup!" He was holding a bowl of incense sticks in his hand.

Yan Zhuoxu raised his eyes, his brows slightly furrowed.

"also?"

The young monk nodded and said, "I made a lot of alms bowls and gave them all to the people in the temple."

"It's delicious! You must try it!"

He excitedly handed the incense holder in his hand to Yan Zhuoxu, "Look, this is also made by her. She said she wanted me to put it in the front hall to worship it as a token of gratitude to the Buddha."

"She is such a beautiful and kind person."

Yan Zhuoxu looked at his silly smile, and for some reason, a little displeasure welled up in his heart.

Grateful for Buddha's grace?

A sneer played on his lips.

It was obviously him who treated her.

What does it have to do with gods and Buddhas?

What does it have to do with the people in this temple?
