"Master?" he murmured.
Shen Zhiyi frowned, took his hand, and felt the wetness on his palm. His eyebrows were filled with worry, "What's wrong with you?"
Samus's eyes slowly dropped.
Staring at their intertwined fingertips.
Her temperature was comfortable.
But for snakes, being too warm can be fatal.
He pulled his hand away, his expression turning hard in an instant.
"nothing."
Shen Zhiyi lowered his eyes and looked at him for a long while.
She reached out her hand again and shook his vigorously. "I have to go on an inspection tomorrow. I still have a lot of papers to review. Come and accompany me."
She pulled him up, her tone leaving no room for doubt.
She led him toward the bright lights, toward the warm fire.
The cold rain and the terrible thunder were soon left behind.
Samuel followed her blankly.
As she walked away, she threw him a handkerchief and said disdainfully, "Wipe it off quickly! You've sweated so much! Don't get my writing wet."
Samuel clenched his handkerchief.
It was filled with the fragrance of her body.
A sweet, confusing and disorienting aroma.
He pressed it against his skin.
Feel a shudder.
Shen Zhiyi sat on the chair behind the desk, pulled a cushion over and placed it at her feet.
"If you don't know what to do, stay here and don't stray too far from me."
"If anything happens later, I have to find someone to do it."
She gave the order and said nothing more.
Really started reviewing the essays.
Samuel stood behind her, looking at her back with a complicated expression, his palm tightly clutching the handkerchief she gave him.
I don’t know how long it took.
Shen Zhiyi moved and found that something seemed to be pulling him under his feet.
She tilted her head.
She saw Samus transform into a snake and fall asleep on the cushion she gave him.
The tail was still tightly curled around her skirt.
The energy around him was still very chaotic, his scales were shaking, and a black aura was swirling around his body.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
Shen Zhiyi murmured softly.
He raised his hand and sent a little healing power into him.
The energy gradually calmed down.
Then, sink into his body.
Shen Zhiyi raised the corners of her lips slightly, and didn't move, just letting him hold her hand.
When Samuel woke up, he found her asleep in her chair.
He lowered his eyes and saw that his snake tail was not only entangled in her skirt, but also curled around one of her ankles, as if it could draw some energy from her.
He was distracted for a moment.
He raised his eyes again and looked at her sleeping face.
No expression.
But he inexplicably found it beautiful.
Was it because of him that I didn't go back to sleep?
She will be going on patrol tomorrow, so she should conserve her energy and get a good sleep.
But she would rather stay on the cold, hard chair than wake him up...
Samuel's eyes were dark, and the light in them was dim.
He couldn't understand why she was so nice to him, even though she was the most vicious person.
Could these things, like the man who saved him, be fake?
What did she want from him?
Hatred, confusion... and a certain kind of greed that he dared not delve into were tearing at his chest.
Samuel was silent for a long time, and finally leaned over and carefully picked her up sideways.
Shen Zhiyi subconsciously curled up in his arms.
Samuel's whole body stiffened, and the muscles in his arms holding her tensed instantly.
He gently placed her on the large bed in the inner hall.
Thinking that she would be gone the next day, Samuel took a deep breath and did not leave.
He looked at her for a long time.
His eyes were covered with sticky desire.
Finally, he lifted the quilt and crawled in.
