Chapter 425 My Nemesis Lost His Memory and Called Me Wife (5) (1/2)

Shen Zhiyi was somewhat dazed.

She recalled the time when her parents were in a car accident, and how she lost her sight due to the aftereffects of the accident and days of crying.

Her uncle rushed to Beijing and held her hand by her bedside, saying he would take her back to Mucheng and that even if her eyes never recovered, he would take care of her.

Her uncle was her only remaining relative.

Although his parents had lost contact with him before their deaths, she was very grateful that he was willing to travel a long distance to help her when she was all alone.

She went back to Mucheng with her uncle.

He also gave all of his parents' car accident compensation to his aunt.

They were genuinely looking after her at first.

Help her with her parents' funeral arrangements.

They took care of her daily life, helping her through the most difficult period of her blindness.

But later...

Her aunt discovered that her parents had not left her an inheritance, but only a trust fund that deposited a few thousand dollars into her account every month, barely enough to cover her daily expenses.

Although she gives all this money to her aunt every month as living expenses.

But her attitude completely changed.

Not wanting to put her uncle in a difficult position, she moved out of their house.

Over the years, she has worked and lived alone, and has long been accustomed to this kind of life.

But recently, my aunt has suddenly changed her ways and started actively arranging blind dates for her.

She used the guise of concern, and it wasn't easy for her to keep refusing.

But those blind date partners were really low-class.

Shen Zhiyi pursed her lips.

“I have a job and my parents give me a monthly allowance, so I don’t need to rely on others.”

Cen Fengqin glanced at the perfume bottles on the opposite wall and sneered.

"You call that a job?"

"You're always carrying around bottles and jars, and you don't even have a proper place to work!" she said, exasperated. "With your eyes like this, what are you trying to do?!"

"Find someone to marry honestly, have a child, and have someone to take care of you, isn't that good?"

"You insist on doing it yourself!"

Thinking about this made her furious.

The reason they initially agreed to let her husband go to Beijing to bring their child back was because they hoped she could bring back some money to buy a house for their son.

And what was the result?

Not a single penny was earned!

Of that small amount of compensation from the car accident, half was used for her rehabilitation and medical treatment, and the other half was spent on daily expenses.

Now we're determined to marry Shen Zhiyi off and get her dowry as compensation for taking care of her all these years.

Although Wang Bohan is not good-looking, he offers a high dowry!

Cen Fengqin rolled her eyes and said, "Young Wang said that although your attitude was bad, he genuinely likes you and is willing to give you another chance."

"Go apologize to him tomorrow, sit down, and have a good talk with him."

"Don't block your own path!"

“She won’t go.” A cold male voice suddenly came from outside the door.

Shen Zhiyi turned around abruptly, staring blankly at the source of the sound, only then realizing that she hadn't closed the door yet.

"How could you..."

Before she could finish speaking, the person who came naturally shielded her behind him.

Xie Huaiyang held a cardboard box in one hand and casually put the other hand in his pocket. The white bandage wrapped around his forehead did not make him look disheveled, but rather added a touch of unruly wildness.

His gaze lingered lazily on Cen Fengqin, a half-smile playing on his lips.

But the look in his eyes was cold.

"If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have known that you, who usually acts tough in front of me, are actually such a softie behind my back, someone who can be easily manipulated," he said, turning his head to Shen Zhiyi.

“Who are you?!”

Cen Fengqin felt uneasy under his gaze and stood up abruptly, roaring angrily.

Xie Huaiyang didn't reply directly, but instead placed the cardboard box in his hand steadily on the entryway.

Then he took Shen Zhiyi's hand.

"Xie Huaiyang." He finally raised his eyes, neither humble nor arrogant, yet exuding an imposing aura, "Zhiyi's boyfriend."

Shen Zhiyi was stunned.

"Boy friend?!"

Cen Fengqin almost lost her balance while holding onto the sofa.

Sharp eyes scanned Xie Huaiyang, noticing his nonchalant expression, bandages on his head, and shady clothes with several tears—clearly not the attire of a respectable person.

It looked like he had just come back from a fight somewhere.
