Car repair shop.
Lu Yanzhuo lay on his back, slid out from under the car, turned the wrench, pushed the car, and stood up.
The shop owner Qu Long handed over a woolen bun.
"Brother Zhuo, there's news from Binghu, asking when you'll be leaving."
"I'm not going anymore."
Lu Yanzhuo wiped the sweat off his forehead and threw the wool to him.
"Are you really not going?!" Qu Long was surprised.
"Just stay in my garage?"
He put away his shocked expression and sighed with regret, "That's like using an anti-aircraft gun to kill a mosquito. It's a waste of talent."
Lu Yanzhuo looked at the sky outside without any expression.
It was pitch black, without a single star.
Just like his lifeless future.
The strong wind blew the leaves, rustling against the door.
Just like the never-ending storm in his heart.
This is the torture he deserves.
Lu Yanzhuo averted his gaze and said calmly, "If you don't want to take me in, I'll find another place."
"Oh my! Brother Zhuo, you are embarrassing me by saying this."
Qu Long cried out in pain.
"You paid for my car repair shop."
"Besides, if it weren't for you and Brother Yang Wu, I wouldn't have been able to save my life and escape from that damn place."
"If you want, you can stay here forever."
Hearing the familiar name, Lu Yanzhuo's expression changed.
Qu Long realized that he had said something wrong and smacked his lips.
He stood aside and said nothing.
"Alright." Lu Yanzhuo glanced at him, "I'm going to go first."
"Tomorrow a modified Saiyu car will come in for repairs. Contact me when they arrive."
"Okay." Qu Long responded obediently.
He watched Lu Yanzhuo walk out of the repair shop, and his tall figure slowly blended into the night.
It looks a bit lonely.
Qu Long felt sympathetic.
Back then, Brother Yang Wu and Brother Zhuo were on a mission together. Brother Yang Wu sacrificed his life to save him, and Brother Zhuo still can't get over this.
Why was I so talkative just now? Why did I even mention Brother Yang Wu?
He slapped his mouth again.
Turning around, he saw the car that Lu Yanzhuo had just repaired and sighed.
Why.
The hands that once flew fighter planes, defused mines, loaded swords and blasted explosives now serve this group of toy cars.
He put his hands on his hips and looked around at the cars in the store.
"You are so lucky."
…
When Lu Yanzhuo got home, he glanced at the closed door next to him.
But after just one day, the originally empty gate was decorated with more decorations.
A garland of flowers.
A cutely decorated doorbell with a fat chick standing on it, looking at him blankly.
The door handle is also wrapped with a protective cover, and the pattern on the left side is a dog paw.
There was even a takeout box mounted on the wall next to it, with "Put Your Takeout Here" written in cute round letters on it.
Then there’s the boss’s takeout box.
Lu Yanzhuo suddenly remembered the way she breathed in the morning.
What can I eat with such a flat belly?
He twitched his lips.
The hard jawline softened in an instant.
His eyes fell on the wreath again, and his nose seemed to smell the fragrance of gardenia coming from her.
That's what I smelled when I got close to her in the morning.
Very shallow.
All of it rushed into his head.
Lu Yanzhuo's eyes flashed.
He raised his hand as if possessed by a ghost and smelled himself.
Smell of motor oil.
I looked down at myself again and saw that I was covered in dirt and there was dust on my knees.
His brows furrowed.
He pushed open the door with a sour face.
After locking the door, he subconsciously raised his foot and walked towards the bathroom.
The next day.
It was just dawn.
Lu Yanzhuo was woken up by a dog's paw.
He opened his eyes alertly and saw the enlarged dog face in front of him. The sharpness in his hawk-like eyes faded, and he hissed softly.
"Do you think your life is too long?"
"If you keep bothering me, I'll go sleep on the balcony."
Steel-key nostrils snorting.
Snorted.
He threw what he was holding in his mouth onto Lu Yanzhuo's face.
Then he pursed his lips and pointed in the direction of Chen Zhiyi's room.
